    It’s a great looking cooktop with awesome 5 burners. The one thing we’re finding odd is that the grill on top is a little too high above the flame, and that reduces the heat received by the utensil kept on the burner by a bit – increasing the cooking time, and also affecting the heat reaching the dishes being cooked. Other than the cook time, it hasn’t really affected anything else but we still find it odd.

    Exchanged this cooktop because of several issues. Finish was covered in a sticky coating that would not come off. Looked dull and gummy and impossible to clean. Moreover the design makes it difficult and downright dangerous to use the front burners. Large pans hang over the front burner grates so you have to reach under the hot pan to adjust the control. Wouldn’t be an issue if you cook with small pans or one at a time, but it was really difficult to fit multiple pans and not end up with burned fingers. Exchanged for Monogram series and love it!

    So the cooktop is very beautiful. The only confusing concern I have is the texture of the stainless steel. Every time I try to clean it, no matter what type of rag I use (whether soft, or lint free) it’s like it sticks to the stainless steel and leave behind lint? Does that make sense. Only reason I gave it 4 starts.

    The stovetop works well; however, the design of the temp display is so light I am not able to see what temp I’m on. Unfortunately I am not able to get a different stovetop because the cut out for this stovetop is larger than any others sold at Best Buy. I wouldn’t recommend this product.

    This is not the quality that I’d expect from Kitchenaid. The stainless is a rougher grain then their other appliances that I’ve purchased in the past year or two. The laser etching for the controls is barely legible. Other then these issues, it does cook so no complaints there.

    Bought on sale at the store. The Rep had it shipped directly to our home and it arrived in good condition about a week and a half later. Overall, very nice gas cook top and we like the variety of burner sizes.

    The issue with this model is the control knobs on the very left and right sides are directly in front of the two front burners. This is a huge safety issue because when those burners are on, those two knobs become very hot and can burn you.

    I can’t read the words on the cooktop. The burner sometimes does not light. The finish does not clean well.

    worst cooktop, if you like cooking. Large burners are at counter edge of grate, where only a 6 3/8″ diameter pot can be used. Small burners are situated so they can take large pans. Knobs jiggle loosely and the heat settings are nearly invisible unless you’re 4′ tall (the height/angle at which the settings are legible). The surface is rough – NOT brushed – as if sorayed with an adhesive, collects fibers from sponges and cloths and never looks clean. HORRIBLE design.

    I was excited to receive our cooktop. However, I was disappointed to find that the finish was very poor quality. It is much rougher than our other kitchenAid appliances (refrigerator and dishwasher). In addition, the finish appears “blotchy.” There areas that look as though the finish has worn off. And there are scratches and blotchiness may just be our individual unit. I am not sure because best buy refused to exchange for another unit (I am a total tech member and they still refused).

    This is the last item I will ever purchase from KitchenAid. Bought this cooktop in December of 2021 because we were doing a full kitchen remodel. At the advisement of many retailers, (didn’t know how long product would be available, cost increase, shipping issues, etc.), we purchased early and were set to install in our kitchen as our remodel progressed. When we got to that point, our contractors found that our cooktop was bent in the upper left corner. It is unable to sit flush on the granite countertop and because of this, it doesn’t allow the pan/pot in the upper left corner to sit level because nothing is flush. Contacted KitchenAid and their response was that it was “outside of the 30 day warranty, sorry.” So now we’re stuck with a $1500 cooktop that we can’t use on one side.

    we replaced our old gas cooktop after 10 years and we took our time for replacement. We checked quality, size, easy cleaning and maintenance. We decided to buy KitchenAid. And it is tested this last Holiday since family members came in from other states and they all love to cook. They cook all the time. And I only gets the chance to clean the cooktop once a week. And it passed the durability and easy maintenance test. Still looks new.

    Great product, kitchenaid quality is really above the mainstream appliance brands. The main flame is much stronger than my old Thermador ( the new ones are probably stronger still). Stainless steel finish is flawless and really brightens up my countertop. Totaltech install was professionally done but the installers somehow didn’t make the intended time window when they came to my place and pretty much ruined my Saturday.

    I am very happy with the kitchenAid Gas Cooktop, the Bosch – 800 Series 36″ Telescopic Downdraft System and the KitchenAid – 27″ Built-in Double Electric Convection Wall Oven. The only thing negative was how long it took to receive everything. I was exceptionally happy with Steve Lyons, Designer, Premium/Customer Services. He kept me informed about everything that I ordered and was always available to take my calls. He was amazing.

    Very bad flames. They are not adjustable and almost go with the same flame heat. I really regret purchasing this item. Unfortunately, I could not install that in the return window and it was installed after the return window. Very disappointed. I am a cook and was very excited to get this item, but now every cooking is like a torturing.

    Middle burner doesn’t heat a pot of water as quickly as we would like. Still way faster than electric. so far so good.
    We tend to have good luck with KitchenAid products.

    It looks perfect in my kitchen. Love that it has a wok holder. But the electric starter (?) doesnt work. The gas turns on but doesnt ignite. It worked once while the installers were here – and then never again.

    If you care about the appearance of your appliances, like scratches and stains, do not, I repeat, do NOT buy this stovetop!!! I am a diehard Kitchenaid fanatic and I will NEVER buy another one of their stoves!!

    Purchased and paid an open box for 36” but received a 30”. Bought a brand new one but ended with a bent corner. Defective manifold where ignition did not fully work. Broken knob.

    Great cooktop. It replaced a very old glass cooktop. Nothing beats a gas cooktop. Looks great, heavy duty and easy to clean.
