    Bought this on sale and had to wait on gas company to install. When it was put in counter noticed it was severely bent and does not sit flush. Best Buy will do nothing because past the 15 days.

    Very nice looking, replaced our Whirlpool that melted on clicking. It drops right in and easy to install. Looks like you can do so wok cooking on it but no. Looks star because it smell like gas leak every time it’s on to start. How to get KitchenAid to take a look?

    I’ve never had a gas cooktop before, but I will never go back to electric again. I love the 5 burners. I use the power, fast boil burner a lot. The knobs are beefy and we live that they light up when the burners are lit.

    While the stove top operates well, it’s been very difficult to get a hold of the appropriate people to determine if there’s a defect in the printing on the stovetop. I’ve had it replaced 3 separate times and all batches from the Best Buy warehouse arrive where you can barely make out the indicator writing. All the installers agree it appears to be a defect and will notify the warehouse to bring a new stovetop that’s not affected, but sadly, that information appears to never get to the right person. I’ve called endlessly and been on hold for hours and people say they put in the notes to check with Kitchenaid to see if this is a defect, but no one follows through. I’m very disappointed in the customer service so far, with Best Buy and the follow up that’s necessary to figure out what’s wrong with this stove top. The lettering shows to be BLACK in all online photos, but when the product shows up here, it appears to be in silver printed on stainless so it is impossible to read unless from a diagonal viewing. Pictures posted below.

    Cooktop was damaged after installation and waiting on BestBuy to replace with new cooktop. Not sure if it is common defect but very disheartening to have system not work properly. Not what you should expect from a high end product.

    Love it! This cooktop has everything, lighted knobs when in use, We’ve used the griddle to fry eggs, saute vegetables and pancakes.
    Awesome. The grates themselves are heavy enough that they don’t slide around and the burner in the middle is the largest so it works well with big pots. We looked a long time for the right cooktop. We got the right one!

    I have read the other reviews and am happy for them. They must have a different cooktop or they are not doing deep cleaning. First, the printing around knobs for heat level is very hard to read. Second, my first knob on right seems out of line with the others to the left. Tech came out and had to call support to determine it is a natural characteristic because of the over size burner they have to move the knob out of line. While here the tech pushed the orb so hard he broke it off. Had to order a new one and reschedule. Third, the back two burners the bases rock on their foundations. Why the do not sit flat unknown. Again this is the natural characteristic. Food gets underneath and has to be cleaned. Forth, while cleaning be very careful as the lighter is very sharp and seems to cut my big hand every time. Fifth, grates are very hard to clean in between the ridges on each end. Sixth, When installed they did not secure well so it slides back and forth. Will have to call to have it secured. Seventh, the burner caps stain. Nothing you can do about it. Wash all you want and they will not come clean. Eighth, the base plates burn brown with the slightest spill, hard to clean off. Try getting a call into Whirlpool appliance repair and they will not return call. Seven calls, wait times of 20 minutes then automated voice says all operators busy. Leave message and they will call back. After seven times a rude person called back. Call Kitchen Aid/Whirlpool and you can not get to speak to a support person. Reason, the work from home now. I tried calling Best Buy in San Bernardino three times. Sat on phone over 1.5 hours each time with no one ever picking up phone. The sales people were all over you at the store, but seem to not want to answer phone calls. If I could I would return this stove top. So many problems. Look at the stove carefully before you buy. I sure wish I had seen all these issues or that a salesperson would have pointed them out. I also wish Best Buy would call me.

    Worth the wait, but….too bad black stainless finish was not an option. Kind of difficult to clean but purchased a burner liner that helps with clean up. Different function burners and lights on knobs when on is a plus.

    The installation was great. The two men that installed it were wonderful. My concern is that the stove top has a film on it and it feels rough and you can’t read the temperature on the dials. Not sure if this is normal. Please call me.

    Wow…just installed the new Gas cooktop. This thing is amazing. It replaced the old GE, both are 30″ but this looks like a 36 when installed. Dual burners on two and the knobs light up when the gas is on (good thing for us oldtimers). Grates are heavy, really heavy. Finish is georgeous, burner control is fantastic.

    Knobs get too hot – almost burning fingers-when more than one pot is cooking for any length of time. Safety issue. Kitchenaid sent service out and they said it is design flaw. Nothing to do to repair it. Because 30″ and the knobs are not clustered at the center, the pots are too close together. Better knob placement would be at center front so the grates could be longer and side burners could be farther apart
    Hard to clean the burner covers. Grates stain easily.
    Bezels under knobs are only attached with some sort of adhesive and they come loose- safety hazard.

    Purchased this a month ago. Installation was easy. I love the variety of burner options, including everything from very high heat to a gentle ‘melt’ burner cap/diffuser. The grates and surface are easy to clean, and it has a great look. It replaced a 4 burner cooktop of the same size – I find the design of this unit to be much more efficient & although there’s an extra burner, it does not feel cramped or crowded

    Basically a nice cooktop however, if any water splashes onto the burners during cooking it leaves a permanent discoloration on the burner caps. The stainless steel is extremely hard to clean as the surface is like extremely rough sandpaper. I had to replace the cooktop within one month of install because it leaked gas. Consequently I was with out a cooktop for two weeks including Thanksgiving while waiting for a replacement. I would get a different cooktop if I wasn’t constrained by size cutout because of being an older home.

    This stovetop works well and is easy to use. The grill that comes with the stovetop can be easily removed and washed. The only negative is that the controls often become hot from the front burners.

    I love this cooktop. Best provided me with a consultant and a team of installers that made the installation to a new product a breeze. I really like the large burner in the center. My controls were on the side on my old 30″. This design with controls at the bottom seems to give me a lot more cookspace

    If you cook in your home, if you use your stove, then you’ll be constantly dealing with hot knobs, the design is horrible because the knobs get so hot it is difficult to adjust yoir heat. I paid extra for the auto pilot feature, i wanted the peace of mind, it often sticks and keep ticking, its frustrating. The heat adjustability is non exisitant. I am disappointed on this product and would go another route if i had the chance.

    This countertop is not worth the price. Is too expensive and not durable.I been using it for a month now. First hard to clean I have tried so many cleaning product stainless steel wipes, spray , sponges mircofiber towels, paper towel sponges you name it. The burners get dirty and hard to clean. the top part it gets stain easily. I cleaned it right after cooking each time. Also it takes a long time to heat food. I think this cooktop is meant for decorative purposes only.

    Exchanged it for the Thermador. The buttons drove me crazy, they are very light and you have to look at a particular angel to see the high, low etc. Sometimes still you cant. I did research and there are alolt of complaints about this. Some have exchanged it for another and still have the same issue. I thought I would like the two flames however I could not get the simmer I wanted when making pasta sauce. I love their other items , my dishwasher and microwave. Just not a fan on the stovetop.

    Love my Cooktop, it has 5 burners with different sizes and flame potency. The only thing that didn’t last long enough was the griddle as it started pilling a couple of months after use. But the cooktop is top notch
