  1. Renee

Hubby had it installed within an hour. Love how fast it is. Would definitely recommend.

  2. okwithme

After we lost function of our previous cooktop due to a PG&E power surge and outage, we decided to get a better quality one that had good reviews. We have not been disappointed but we have only had it around a month now, so we shall see as time goes by!

  3. carol

Have not had long enough to say for sure. But so far so good.

  4. Chloe

Looks nice and functions as well as a BOSCH cooktop.

  5. HIghTech

Excellent construction and fast courteous service and price from Bestbuy

  6. EE63

We compared to other manufacturers and came away impressed with the features and price. First time using induction and we would recommend it to anyone over regular electric cooktops. Just have to make sure you have cookware that will work.

  7. Valerie

Cooktop does everything as advertised. Induction does heat things extremely quickly! I hear a clicking sound with my pots, but I have read this is a common issue. The location of the keypad is somewhat frustrating. If I set anything on it then it will beep at me, and maybe even shut my burner off. It is hard to avoid based on the location of the keypad. Also, if I remove a pot or pan for even a second, it will start to beep at me. The beeping is annoying, but maybe it is just my usage habits. Overall the cooktop looks great when you can get all the smudges off. I love how it is solid black, it really compliments my expresso cabinets.

  8. Enif

Nice kitchen and safety but you need special pots.

  9. Tony

This a great looking cook top with no knobs completely flat and sleek.
The only issue I had was not being informed of wiring requirements when switching out from old appliances to newer.

  10. AlexStorm

I love my new cooktop. Easy to clean and heats up very quickly. It takes seconds to boil water.

  11. MJreview

Love it and it’s even better than the first one, also a KitchenAid, we purchased in 2008 for our previous home.

  12. agarc

I’m really enjoying my cooktop. Great features and very safe

  13. Connie

I wish I hadn’t waited so long before buying this! Love it

  14. Arlene

We had it not even a month and had it serviced, 2 of the elements were giving an error code EF12. We had to pay for the parts which cost us about close to $300. We had it over 2 years now and had to service it again as there is this burnt smell.
We decided on Kitchen Aid expecting it to be a trusted brand but we are very disappointed.

  15. Jeff

Installation was easy. So far so good. Works great and easy to clean.

  16. Chloe

Sleek looking and easy to use. Easy to clean but smudges easily. Heats fine. Nothing special but good performance overall. The control paneling takes up a little too much space on this small 30” top. Other layouts seem more efficient when you need multiple “burners” cooking spots.

  17. Bebe1

At this point the cook top has not been installed. We are waiting for the quartz counter to be installed.

  18. KJNaples

We always love gas, but unavailable in condo. First time with Induction Cooktop and very Impressed. Water boils in a few seconds and cooks more consistently like gas.

  19. Freebird

i was sold on the induction stove top with small children in the house i needed safety and i got it with this top, quick too heat up or boil water and very fast too cool down so no little hands get burnt its a must buy..

  20. Carl

I purchased this product in 2016, it was installed in April of 2016 and this one in 2020 is a replacement because the 2016 cooktop died. Even while it worked it was always flaky. Here are examples

    – Where you set the temperature was not consistent. Sometimes when you select all the way to the left it would go to 1 indicating the lowest temperature. Other times when you would select all the way to the left it would go to 3. This would change mysteriously and sometimes last for months.
    – At few times a year it would beep non-stop. As I understand it the beeping usually means something is on the control panel. I would dry the entire cooktop and clear it and the beeping would continue. The only way I could get it to stop was by cutting the power at the circuit breaker
    – There were several times in the 4 years I owned it that the unit would just turn off for no reason while we were using it.

Then after 4 years of flaky behavior the cooktop died, it stopped while I was using it and never came back on. Unfortunately cooktops are not standard size I am forced to purchase this same cooktop again since the hole is already cut into the countertop. I looked at a few other models but none of them will fit.

This unit dying comes after I spent close to $10,000 in a 2016 home remodel with all kitchenaid appliances and whirlpool washed and dryer. Within 4 years I have had to spend another $2500+ to replace 2 of the kitchenaid appliances that died. First the dishwasher which lasted less than 4 years and now the cooktop.

Purchased model KICU509XSS 30″ induction cooktop 12 Mar 2019. Failed 13 Sep 19 error code F47. L&R power control boards & user interface replaced. Failed 29 Oct 2019. Same items replaced plus all 4 burners. Unit failed 17 Dec 2019 (F47 code). KitchenAid replaced entire cooktop with new. Failed 06 Jul 2020 (F47). DEFECTIVE DESIGN!!! Will not repair again. Purchasing Bosch 30″ induction cooktop.

  22. joemmomm

The cooktop is intrusive; you can’t leave anything on it because it will start beeping at you, for no reason other than, I suppose, the KitchenAId engineers are concerned that you might put something on the cooktop. There is no way to disable this. Like if you take a pan out of the oven and put it on the cooktop, it will beep at you until you take it off. There is no reason for this, it’s just intrusive and annoying.

  23. John

Very efficient clean looking cook top.
Chosen in part for low profile , less than 4 inches of space needed
    For installation of cooktop.
Cooktop turns itself off when pan or pot is removed from the surface.

  24. darvin

Used it for a month so far with no problems so here we go ready to cook our Thanksgiving dinner and lone behold only 2 burners worked then we lost all power! Checked circuit breaker, good, checked for 22) power, good. All connections were good. Never could get power back. Had to microwave potatoes, gravy, corn, and sauces. Will call Kitchen Aide tomorrow hoping for the best!

  25. LordOddimag

Induction is great. This unit hasn’t broken so far and we are currently happy.

  26. Ricky

It’s beautiful. Looks like a piece of black glass and the touch pad works exactly as expected

  27. RobLaw0304

It worked great for 364 days. On thanksgiving it decided to die mid-potato. It is now nearly May and still hasn’t been fixed by the manufacturer despite multiple escalations. I can understand a delay but going on 6 months of broken stove is unacceptable.

  28. Yoca1000

First 3 yrs were great, BUT cook top now stops working, shuts off, gives errors, and sometimes does not let you go all the way to the hight temp or lowest setting.

Beeping sound is also very annoying. Need help finding out what I can do since I am now not able to cook!

  29. JasonF

1 ro 2 weeks after i bought this stove top i got an error 47 flashing on stove and those burners dont work.

  30. Rockdees

We purchased this cooktop unit on July 19, 2020, and two burners have blown. This isn’t very reassuring, considering the cost.
