    Great picture quality. Yes the connection to any android or iPhone (I have done both) can be frustrating at first, BUT once you forget the device one time from your Bluetooth settings on both iOS and Android I have not had any issues connecting and downloading any videos. I attached the power cable that’s “always on” and the parking mode rocks!!

    The camera itself works fine when it’s working, BUT it randomly loses all the settings and it forces you to go through the entire setup about every 2-3 weeks. It also will ask you to format the memory card about every other day. Losing the settling really sucks because your camera will not work at all until it’s set up again. It’s such a hassle. The app is also not the greatest. I definitely would not recommend.

    Got it for my mom for Christmas. We were excited; the video quality was very good. However, two recordings later, the camera froze, and the screen went white and never recovered. We had to return it. It’s definitely disappointing that a brand new product crashed like that, AND it was a gift. I had high hopes for this product as the brand has been around for years.

    The dashcam s not smart enough to turn off when the car is parked! It has drained my battery twice in a couple of weeks when I forgot to unplug it from the cigarette lighter. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

    Garbage. Dont buy it. I have had constant issues with this camera not turning on when the car is on. Having to re set up the camera multiple times a day. Every day. Problem after problem with this camera.

    Like others, screen went black. For a $200+ dollar dashcam, it should last more than a year and a half.

    Only lasts 23 months. The functionality is ok but the darn thing quits working just under 2 years.

    My first unit worked for about 3 months, then it started booting up to the setup menu every morning I started the car. Then it got to a point where it wouldn’t show anything on the screen. I sent it to Kenwood for repair, a replacement unit was sent back. That unit worked for about 1 month, then the same thing, boots up to the setup screen every morning. It has not gotten to the non-responsive point yet, but I’ve tracked I removed and replaced it with a Garmin. This unit is junk, do not buy one! For the price, many better features are available on many other units. Spend your money wisely.

    Does the job it claims to. Not perfect by any means. Inconvenient that you can’t access the videos unless you disconnect your phone from anything except the camera. Makes me disconnect my apple car play to access all files. Dont bother locking any clips either cause now it wont unlock other clips that were locked by nistake. Id return it if it wasnt too far passed and not interested in in store credit.

    The clarity and rear camera functionality is a plus. The wireless app doesn’t help and needs a lot of catching up to support the camera.

    camera is excellent! just bought my 2nd one because nothing lasts forever in the Sonoran Desert sun. the image is super clear. this camera has helped my attorney with two accident cases. “simple and clear cut” definitely a must have for anyone who travels a lot of miles.

    Good video but the camera overheats by itself and gets so hot it triggers the touch screen display on and off when in use without touching the display, happens even in the shade.

    Love the large screen display which is better than it competitor Garmin. Was able to setup in less than 30 minutes. Have plugged into my Toyota’s USB port which switches off and on life cigarette light plugin. Both connections provided. Wondering why it reboots itself sometimes during travel or while idle parked while car is on, but it may just be a setting. Will double check users guide. Supports rear camera connection not included purchase separately.

    I like the Kenwood DRV-A601W 4K Dash Cam . The installed it a bit up under the rear view mirror because I have a Subaru Outback 2008 & the windshield is a bit smaller than my Mercury Grand Marquis. But that doesn’t matter because it does the job & is not distracting my driving or vision. I’m glad the installer installed it the way he did. Because it is newer than what I have in my Grand Marquis It also has newer & better features, still exploring.

    Recently upgraded to this from the A301W. Excellent video and functions pretty much the same. My only complaints is the lack of actual buttons and the g sensor is still to sensitive.

    Easy to set up and use! I would recommend purchasing a hardwire install kit. The wiring kit that comes with this camera is more of a temporary set, with the 3M wire clips not really sticking well to all surfaces in my car.

    You can easily disconnect the camera from the windshield mount to download and view videos.

    For the money I’d say this is on par with the major competitors out there. Have yet to try out any video feed but as of now extremely satisfied. Certainly wish I knew it wasn’t wireless as I had to pull out my trim in my Mercedes to hide the cables, but that high class problems there…

    Used for 2 years and stopped working. Black screen, unable to upload firmware, reset button does not work. I called Kenwood customer support to get additional support to resolve the issue because the features on this camera are great but they told me to buy a new one since there were no parts to fix it. Now I am afraid that the other Kenwood/JVC products that I have probably will fail soon.
