After a lot of research I decided on this JVC 10.1 Inch Model. I’m very pleased with my final choice and the great installation and 4 year warranty program offered by Best Buy. The Geek Squad Installers and the Sales people and were very helpful, knowledgeable and efficient!
I’m really loving this upgrade. My original Bose Speakers sound amazing. Front & Rear Camera are great! My I Phone 11 Pro Max works great and I love the HDMI input. Two Thumbs up! 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD Z 71 106,000 Miles

Never own any JVC car stereo ever, always with SONY, ALPINE and KENWOOD, this is my 1st JVC, so far happy with built quality and sound quality out of this unit! The main reason for buying this unit is the big 10.1 screen, parametric EQ and be able to adjust mostly anything you want as far as sound wise. The graphical display in the play screen (USB Play back home screen) is another PLUS…many display styles to choose from…The text scroll of song artist and Album is the Plus for me compared to the Kenwood DMX7705S…Wish there were an option to customize text scroll of Album, Artist and Song!!! The low side is cost, too expensive! I still the owner of the SONY CDX C90 along with Sony XDP-4000X from Sony in the late 90’s, this setup still the king of all!! Too bad SONY does not make any high ends car Stereo anymore! The last reason…..I chose this model over the KENWOOD is the knobless volume control! Kenwood has the same unit exact or even better but that volume knob just threw me off! Come on we are in 2021 and knob still around??? What are they thinking…

Love it! Unit works great! Wish there was an added feature of dimming the backlight when it’s night time. But crossing the fingers that there’s an update soon:)

I like the product but the installer did not install the microphone correctly or didn’t plug it in and decided to use my old one from my old radio. Now it doesn’t work he tore my trunk liner apart and it no longer has the clips I’m not sure what he did with them. Do not go to Saratoga springs for an install definitely not worth your car getting trashed and the expensive radio you paid for not working correctly insane. For the price I paid you think I would have got perfect installment. Nope not the case!
BigScreen –
Big enough to see what to touch without missing. Can tilt floating screen to avoid glare, but the resolution is so good I could probably see it anyway. Controls are better than the ones on the 5-year-old JVC it replaced. Very pricey, but way cheaper than a new Frontier.

This infotainment center does it all! I love it. It will make a factory set of speakers sound like customs. You can install 4 cameras including backup. Android Auto, usb or wireless. Iphone same thing. Hdmi input.Etc. All you need is a standard 2 din opening to install it. The 10.1 in screen IS HD! Newer android phones will project wirelessly just like chromecast. It has up to 50 watts PER SPEAKER. I could go on and on, but just pick up an advertisement
and be amazed for yourself!

It is one of the best radios I’ve had.
Ive been thru 5 in the last 6 months.
Trying to find one that had Bluetooth, wifi, equalizer , touch screen, clear picture, wireless Android auto. Big plus
Negatives its really expensive .
To have access to all the features it cost an additional
200. Dollars. For Maestro module.
35. For a Maestro T harnes.
On top of the 1,200 dollars. You already paid for the radio
Best buy will install it for you
At no extra charge.
But it usually takes 2 or 3 weeks before they have any openings.

This JVC Radio is amazing! Many features. Such a clear touch screen. No Glare at all. I had it installed through Best Buy in Oakdale, MN. The customer service was great! They installed the radio and it looked amazing. I did have to go back, but they went above and beyond to tryin help find a solution. I had this unit installed in my 2019 Jeep Renegade. The issue was, none of my climate controls or settings worked on the radio even with Maestro iDatalink connected. This was NOT the fault of Best Buys installers. This was an FCA issue. So please note: If you drive a Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler or Fiat, you will need to take an extra step to make any touch screen with iDatalink compatible radio fully functional. I took my Jeep to the dealership, and they have to do what’s called a Proxy Alignment to configure your aftermarket radio. The alignment doesn’t always work on the first try, make sure they try at least a couple times, it should work. Im sure prices vary from dealership to dealership, but I paid $199, thats with tax, to have this done. You can buy an OBD MX+ and do the Proxy Alignment yourself if you feel comfortable and knowledgable enough to do so. Hope this helps someone out.

Great product! Huge screen with vibrant colors. Great features for customization of sound, wallpaper etc. and wireless Android auto and apple car play. Responsive touch screen, and can be angled nicely to reduce/avoid glare. Only con for this is the resolution of the screen quality. Don’t get me wrong, it looks fantastic, but when watching videos or your cams, you’ll see that this isn’t the same screen quality as your phone, tv or even nintendo switch.

Screen display is top notch. Love that it syncs with my phone and displays photos too!

Incredible unit. I first installed the Jensen Car1000 and started having issues with it freezing up and crashing constantly, so I returned it and decided to splurge on this JVC instead. There were features missing on the Jensen that I had in my old vehicle that I missed. Top among them were wireless android auto (vs wired), hd radio, satellite radio, and an hdmi input. This JVC also has a much higher resolution screen. I love the fact that the screen has some tilt adjustment available after installation. Android auto wireless works great, though setting it up on the unit wasn’t as intuitive as other units i’ve tried. Just mess with it a bit and you’ll figure it out. While I prefer a volume knob, (like this unit’s sister unit under the Kenwood brand) I do appreciate the large volume up and down buttons. My previous pioneer had tiny volume buttons. Also, I was able to retain my steering wheel controls using only a PAC adapter. That was a much cheaper optoin to retain steering wheel controls vs the idatalink maestro setup that would have cost an extra 250 dollars. I don’t get all the fancy vehicle info, but all I wanted to was steering wheel controls. So look in to that cheaper option if you’re curious. May not work on newer vehicles though (I drive a 2010 F250 Lariat). I did have an issue with the hdmi input not working at first, while trying to use a 4k hdmi cable. I swapped out that cable for an older hdmi cable, not 4k, and now it works. So if you’re having that issue, try and older hdmi cable. They’re supposed to be completely backwards compatible, but obviously not with this unit. Also, don’t forget to add the little black trim piece or the screen won’t turn on! All in all, this thing is responsive, has the best screen available right now in car stereos, and has all the features you could ever want. I absolutely love it despite the pretty ridiculous cost.

Great size, clear and bright picture. Love it. It even made our speakers sound better. Wow.
UnhappywithBestBuy –
I don’t know much about the radio but I ordered via Bestbuy.com and they sent me a use one at full BNIB price.. half the items missing.. finger prints and old tape on ripped plastic.. the screen didn’t even have protection on it!!!

This radio has a lot of features and is really good I love the style of it and the look of it changes with the sound of the music clarity 100% good radio all in all very happy with it

The crossover and parametric eq remove all distortion from your listening experience. As well as playing spotify or using waze. I have an android s20 and there are significant issues on samsungs side. Dropping connection often is the issue ive experienced.
The big screen is great but does not dim automatically.
Maeatro is a great feature as well and highly recommended by all including me.
Nino –
Great
Awesome features
Well worth the price like they say you get what you pay for but the price increase I can see why it’s hard to purchase it
RobInBurk –
Cannot say enough about the awesome screen. Of course it’s big, but the clarity is great too.
I installed this unit in a 2015 Toyota Camry. The Best Buy fit guide said it wasn’t compatible, but another site said it was, so I took a chance. With it adjusted so that the emergency flasher button is not covered, the top of the screen is slightly higher than the vents. Air flow still reaches the driver and passenger with no problem.
Installation is as easy or difficult as any after market head unit. If you install with the iDatalink Maestro, which I did, you have some soldering to do, but you retain steering wheel controls, and gain system information screens.
We connect Android Auto with a Google Pixel 3xl, and a Samsung Galaxy S21 5G. Both work seamlessly wired and wirelessly.

Amazing product, killer screen and top notch sound

I bought this unit to replace the one that died in my RV. Works great! I’m able to see the rearview and side cameras. I live all the features. Nice unit.

I say this is terrible so far, because I can’t even use the thing yet. I bought this thing last week and was told it would ship on time. I had to reschedule my installation appointment twice because Best Buy took almost a week to ship it. I just left from my installation appointment and it won’t turn on. This is not the installer’s fault. Apparently, there is a plastic bracket that goes behind the screen and the unit will not turn on without it. This happens to be the one piece that was not in the box. Best Buy customer service has been completely useless trying to talk to them and explain that I have a $1,500 unit that won’t work because of a missing $3 piece of plastic. JVC customer service has been just as useless. I was able to find the missing part online. They’re hard to find and it’s going to cost me another $60 to ship a piece of plastic that costs $3 from overseas. And wait for it to arrive while driving a car with a nonfunctional unit. I’m sure the unit will be amaizing once it’s actually working but this is ridiculous

I was really looking forward to having this head unit installed in my 4Runner. I ordered it online and it took awhile to ship but no biggie. I received it, purchased the antenna adapter, dash kit, and Maestro RR/vehicle-specific harness and was ready for the install.
I get a call from the technician about 20 minutes into the install saying that there was a bad smell he noticed as soon as he took the unit out of the box. It was a very bad burning smell. He said he usually just goes right into installing the head units but something told him to bench test it prior and the unit would not even power on. It had all the tape/seals intact but perhaps it was sent to me used but for $1500 I expect better quality control. Thankfully, the technician recommended the Kenwood DMX9707S to me and had one left on hand to install instead. I can say I am much happier with it as it looks OEM in my 4Runner and I don’t have to worry about a huge screen sticking out of my dash just waiting to be stolen. I saved $600 and I am super happy with the Kenwood instead. I felt the need to write this review since I saw other reviews similar about this head unit. I cannot recommend it since I didn’t get to see it in action. Perhaps it was just a faulty one I received but I can’t imagine why it’d emit a burning smell and makes me question the longevity of such an expensive product.

Great purchase havent yet been able to dive into all the features yet but options are there to add on .

Did not work with my 2010 Honda Element LX, would constantly be getting a “speed sensor” warning.
rspeir –
BBIG screen and very easy to use. SUper simple to connect it with my Samsung Note. Love it!
Houche –
Great radio and extremely clear monitor for the cameras. Pricey but having larger camera display of the rear camera and the side cameras for our rv greatly enhance how well we can see in the rv.
Fuzzy –
Exceeded my expectations. A large clear screen with Apple Play. Just what these old eyes needed to replace my old small screen audio, which was hard to see in some sunlit situations.
Although it came with free installation, the first available appointment was two months out. So I installed it myself, using the instruction manual and YouTube it was not that difficult.
NickNoah –
Love this stereo! However you can’t screen share or mirror with an iPhone, just android.
redram38 –
Very nice system and the size is great for streaming (while being parked). I have my firestick hooked up to the HDMI and it works perfect. Installation was perfect. I love the 4 camera view. I lost my 360 overhead on my 2019 Rogue but I like the ability to see the views this provides better. It can also be viewed while driving. There are lots of settings for your music preferences so if you are into this you could be setting things up for hours. I have no complaints. Being able to stream your phone is awesome and it works great. Wireless Android auto is another great feature.

I purchased this unit to help modernize my 2008 FJ Cruiser, and it has not disappointed. The sound customization is simply without equal, the screen is bright and responsive, and the Apple CarPlay functionality is superb.
The unit also has tons of hookups for HDMI, USB, Cameras, Maestro units, Viper systems, and Sirius XM.
It’s definitely on the pricier side of things, but it’s well worth it. If you want a volume, I’d recommend going with the Kenwood model, which is nearly identical to this one.
Thom –
Installed this in my FJ Cruiser and it has completely modernized the vehicle. The fit and finish of the unit is amazing. Sound quality is great and the EQ has blown me away with the level of customization available.
Wireless Apple CarPlay works wonderful and fully integrates with my vehicle using an iDatalink Maestro box.
For those comparing this against JVC’s sister brand Kenwood – this essentially is exactly the same as the Kenwood Excelon but with much more fun and colorful background and display features. I particularly love the VU meters and the light bar under the bottom that lights up my center console.
100% recommend, it’s a stunning piece of equipment!
RonaldH –
This thing is huge and expensive, but it is excellent. The screen is big but it does exactly what I wanted, which was to have a large legible screen to identify songs and artists. Glare does not seem to be a problem like it was with my old radio. With the inclued Apple Carplay, I don’t have to bring an outside GPS into my old Sequoia and I have all of the Carplay features, The backup camera feature shows a huge screen, The equalizer and set-up allow you to customize the sound inside your vehicle. Although I don’t use them, it also allows for other camera views through the system. Very happy with the decision to upgrade to this. Cheers

This radio looks amazing! There is minimal lag on the touchscreen buttons. The display and system has numerous customizable options. I highly recommend!! I have a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, extended cab 2500hd for reference.
Kathryn –
We returned this radio. The screen was HUGE and covered our heating/a/c controls, but more importantly, it does not have the built-in GPS. We ended up buying an Alpine with smaller screen and you have to keep phone directly plugged into car for CarPlay to work, but at least we don’t lose signal.
AngelG –
Very nice, I liked it a lot.
I recommend it

I originally had purchased a Boss 10.1 radio and had to return it. I purchased this item to replace it and I am so happy I got this one instead! It is extremely clear and the features are extremely useful! The touchscreen is extremely responsive. In comparison to everything else on the market there is none like this one.
Memories –
Great quality. Thought the price was a little higher but the picture quality is out of the world.
JeanB –
Great display size, I’ve yet to figure out all the integrations. If this unit had a built-in GPS. Think it would be perfect. Installed with Maestro it does just about everything I want.
Backup camera display is a bit glitchy but I can live with it. Installed in a 2020 Winnebago Travato van. MUCH better than OEM
EverettB –
Absolutely Love it. If I had to buy it again I would.
JessieH –
Love this head unit. The best part for me was the three cameras setup on my Ford F250.
Billcamp –
Just love it! Worked excellent with our iPhones on cross country trip. The GPS and Pandora interfaced seamlessly, providing sound directions while enjoying our favorite tunes.
LuisC –
This head unit is absolutely incredible. First, the screen is as clear as the latest Iphone and glare of the sun doesn’t effect it. It has Android auto and car play and the best thing about it is that is all wireless. It shows you if you have a check engine light, tire pressure and tire temperature. You can wireless mirror screen! It has an hdmi port which I have connected a firestick. This is by far way more than I expected. I recommend this head unit and it is definitely worth the price. I had it for over a year and had no problems with it. Treat yourself for Christmas you will not be disappointed.
GeekSquad –
Best head unit on the market right now. Wireless Apple car playing Android Auto, automatically connects when you get in the car. Has full size HDMI you could hook up a laptop or a PlayStation or Xbox if you wanted to. Big screen easy to see in the daytime and dimmable at night time. This had unit will make any car feel like a 2025 vehicle
Garth –
Nice item when installed properly. Very big screen. You need a big vehicle for this item.

Awesome system! Planning on buying another for my other vehicle. Highly recommended!
