Just installed 4 days ago but so far all is well. We replaced our 30 year old JennAire down-draft cooktop. The downdraft venting has been a challenge for the installers, but after being without a cooktop for over two months we can finally start cooking again.

Easy to install and use. Looks great and pretty decent suction for a downdraft. It’s pretty straightforward to use and has a great build quality but not all that different from the KitchenAid version. This cooktop is on the pricier side—I’m pretty sure the premium price is really paying for the styling and brand name and small size. I bought this for my mother’s kitchen to replace her 30 year old Jenn-air.
I would buy this again for a small kitchen but you get more value out of the 36” size.

After a month using it, the cooktop works well, just like the one we replaced. We like it better because the knobs on the right side instead of in the front. The only concern we have is that the finish is shinier than the one we replace and difficult to keep clean. The finish on the one we replaced was less shiny and easy to keep clean.

JennAir JX3 cooktop is awesome and highly recommend.
However, BestBuy’s 3 party installer left multiple scratches on my granite counter top during installation 08/18/22 after waiting 2 months to install. As of 9/15/22 no resolution. Bestbuy you need to do better by your customers.

pure Junk. The glass top cracked across the top. nothing was dropped on it and after only 1.6 years of use. Customer Service told me this was discontinued and a glass replacement will not be available. I even tried to find a used part. no luck. So I purchased a 2500.00 piece of JUNK. Do not waste your money. The funny thing is I had a jennair cooktop for 25 years and loved it. Thats why I bought another but NEVER again. Look at the ad. Backordered. Good luck they stopped building it.

I ll give 0 if can, less than 3 months and have issues with burners elements turning black, now trying to have manufacturers warranty cover because Best Buy total tech won’t cover. Don’t buy and save yourself money, time and unnecessary headache.

The knobs are very loose and wiggly. The painted cooking rings are hard to see and make it difficult to see when a pan is centered. Meanwhile, it took over a month for Best Buy to send someone out to look at it. So now we are told it needs to be replaced. Unbelievable lack of quality control by JennAir, and poor service from Best Buy.

Very nice cooktop and fits nice and flush on the countertop. Only have a few options for downdraft models and Kitchen Aid was having manufacturing issues.

This is a very good looking electric cooktop and one of the few downdraft models available. Unfortunately, it has some significant issues. First off, the control knobs are not installed very well and are skewed to one side or the other. This seems to be a recurring build/design issue, since Jennair/Best Buy replaced our originally installed cooktop due to this issue, but the new one is just as bad. For a modern electric cooktop, it heats up surprising slowly. Also, it is very difficult to clean, even using the recommended cleaner, especial around the knobs.

This cooktop is beautiful. I have never had a glass cooktop. The installer gave me tips on cleaning so that it continues to look good. It does require more cleaning than my old cooktop.
I love the Jenn Air fan that sucks out the smell of food.
