    Great for the price, it has a built-in graphics card so it uses less GPU resources. Great to run Discord and other non graphic heavy content on a 2nd monitor.

    The J5 display adaptor is probably the easiest way to add an extra monitor to a computer. It’s literally plug and play, no software required.

    Had a little trouble getting it setup but Tech Support walked me through, and it has been a good choice for an older computer!

    I should have been suspicious from the horribly convoluted directions that make you jump through a half dozen hoops “please read this!! you really need to pay attention to this.”

    The drivers ask you to accept their software even though it’s flagged as potential malware, then the product asks you to accept ACCESS TO YOUR SCREEN AT ALL TIMES EVEN WHEN OTHER APPS ARE RUNNING. I get all kinds of error messages I can’t get rid of like “we have claimed your USB port and are now driving it”…

    AND THEIR UNINSTALL PROGRAM DOESN’T WORK. They wanted me to grant them access to my screen and reverse privacy settings, which I can’t put back to blocking them.

    Also, the driver doesn’t work, so who knows if the hardware even works.

    I had to search for a wire that could connect my second monitor to my Mac mini. I’ve tried other connectors, but they would give way. I’ve had this one for 2 years now with not a single issue to this day.

    Easy to install. Ran the driver through a malware checker just to make sure and it came out clean. So far so good. Would recommend if you need such an Item. Using windows 11 home edition.

    This device has not work well for me. After having used this device for a couple months now on a Windows 11 machine, I find that the monitor that is hooked up through it freezes/locks up multiple times per day. To get it working again I have found I have to unplug the adapter and then plug it back in each time. I have contacted J5 customer service multiple times on the matter. Each time they have recommended reloading the driver which I have done. But that has not helped. I wish I could return the device for a refund, but unfortunately too much time has passed now for me to do so.

    I only had one HDMI port on my laptop but I needed a dual monitor set up for work. This work prefectly with just a usb port.
