    It’s already for what you need it for and it serves it’s purpose. But, the extra power source is just another plug to use. However, it does help with the speed.

    I purchased this to replace a USB hub that was failing working through my Docking Station on a Mac. It worked 100% without any problems other than an occasional complaint about power. I’d recommend.

    We’ve been using this hub for more than a year now without a single problem. Knock on wood. It’s performing well and we’re able to plug in everything it can take. Less clutter makes my wife happier.

    We bought this to expand the connection options on our Mac Mini, and it has worked great so far.

    The only downside is that it requires an external power adapter (included) which adds to the mess of wires on our desk and takes up another outlet on our power strip, but the upside of that is we generally don’t have to worry about the power requirements of the devices connected to the hub (within reason).

    Overall, the build quality is great and it functions perfectly, so I’d recommend it.

    Use it for everything. My laptop doesn’t have an enough usb jacks so this is a must. The nicest part is that it’s powered by ac so charging is faster than standard usb.

    Needed this due to my laptop being limited in usb ports. I use this for my go pro and external hard drives and it makes it so much easier to manage my work station.

    It looks nice for a hub, and it works perfectly. No matter what I add, I don’t feel like I’m overloading the hub. And with 7 Ports, it should be sufficient for business or casual personal use. I would assume this is a good option for gaming as well because it has 3.0 ports but It would depend on if 7 ports is enough for you.

    I bought a laptop which only has two USB 3.0 ports. I have 4 or 5 devices which connect using USB 3.0. This hub allows me to connect all of them at once, should I care to. It handles the USB high speed devices as well. I’m happy with it.

    Love the extra connection on the end, but hubs should have more space between each connection so a wider range of adapters can be used without crowding. Top quality.

    I was looking for something to expand the ports on a new docking station, and this fits the bill. Being a powered hub, it’s not taking from the docking station and can even charge a phone. This is exactly what I was looking for.

    This hub is exactly what i wanted. I use it for my 3 external hard drives, and they’re still just as fast as when they were connected to my pc directly. Makes it much easier to add drives as needed, and leaves a high speed port when its needed.
