I love this trash can. This is my second time purchasing one. I bought one about 4 years ago. After great wear and tear from my teenage sons, the top part gave out. It did it’s job for those 4 years and I’m sure I will get more longevity out of this as my children are out of the house!!

I LOVE this trash can! For years, I tried to find the perfect trash can for my family. We’ve had swing tops, push tops, and step top trash cans that have not worked for us. At some point, we always had to manually open the trash can. This touch less trash can is wonderful and battery operated. You wave your hand or object over the sensor and voila, the tops opens and gives you about 10 seconds to dump your mess. This trash can is pricier than others, but it definitely makes a difference.

I like the way it opens immediately because there is no spillage while putting your trash inside. other trash cans that have a top that swings open cannot be opened this way and you wind up dropping some of the trash on the floor if you are holding a lot. with this trash can it opens and waits until you have put everything in and then closes.

I am in a wheelchair and was hoping that this trash can would make it easier to throw trash away, without touching the lid. It did function as it was suppose to, but the opening is SO small, that when you try to dump a paper plate with leftover BBQ ribs, it spills half in the can and half down the outside of the can. It also only allows you to fill 1/2-3/4 of the trash bag and is very wasteful. I returned the can within a week of using it. I would NOT recommend this trash can to anyone.

This trashcan is really seamless to use because of the motion sensor and helps in convenient disposal without gettting your hands dirty.

Received this trash can and had it for 24 hours and it began smoking where the batteries are & wouldn’t close. I get all things like have a potential to have issues like this, but I wouldn’t purchase this again.

Works for the most part. Writing this after owned for 6 months. Lids works until about a month ago, took two weeks for customer service to respond. Phone call went fine and didn’t give protest when asked for replacement parts.

I bought this to replace another auto opening lid that I had. It’s neat to have these trash cans.

Once I figured out how to install regular, tall garbage bags, it’s been perfect. There are no instructions on how to install the bag. Do this:
1. Make sure that the motorized cover is off of the can and the retaining ring is on top of the can.
2. Open the bag and place it all the way in the can..
3. Pull up enough of the open bag to place over the retaining ring, slightly lift the ring, and tuck top of the bag under the ring and inside the can all the way around the ring.
4. With the ring re-seated on the top of the of the can, place the motorized cover back on the top.
The cover holds the bag in place and the weight of the garbage/trash “locks” the bag onto the ring. And you cannot see the bag.
Also, you don’t have to worry about regular tall kitchen bags not reaching the bottom of the can because, if you are putting so much in that it’s stretching the bag, you’re putting in too much. Or, if you’re pushing down hard on the contents for compaction to put more in, you’re putting in too much.
