This is a handy little product to store and charge your phone while driving.
Picked this up at Best Buy and too a chance on the brand. Never heard of them, but the price was pretty good
Packaging was sufficient and fairly east to open without destroying the box
The product looked appealing and there was even a Quick Start Guide, in case you have never seen or used on of these
Size wise, I would put this on the smaller side. Most that I have used in the past are oval, while this one appears to be a perfect circle, The entire unit is a matte black, with the exception of a decorative gold ring between the charging pad and vent attachment
Installing was simple, but I was surprised to not see a lock rick to tighten it down. It worked fine, just not what I expected
Also missing was cord guides that you can stick to your dash. The cord is not exceptionally long, so it did not make a huge difference
My car has a USB charger, so I did not have to use the supplied lighter attachment
The MagSafe magnet was strong, and I do not ever expect the phone to even move on a rough road of speed bump
As stated on the box, the 7.5 watt power is plenty to charge an iPhone 14Pro Max. I did not try it with navigation and bluetooth audio streaming, but I assume it would still provide enough juice to give a steady charge
Overall a good product with reasonable value

Since the introduction of MagSafe charging, it’s been my preferred method to charge my iPhone. Until the iOttie Velox all my MagSafe chargers have been home ones or portable ones, this is the first car charger that I’ve used. I’ve tried some MagSafe mounts but didn’t like them as they weren’t that strong. The iOttie Velox thankfully has a nice strong magnet that has no problem holding my iPhone 14 Pro Max securely in place. The articulating mount makes it easy to point the phone where I want it. The prongs that attach to the air vent are nice and beefy and don’t pull off when pulling the phone off the charger.
The charger only charges @ 7.5 watts so it’s not a fast charger if that’s something you need. It comes with a USB-C car charger adapter or if your vehicle has USB-C plug you can just use the cord. The cord is built into the device itself and can’t be unplugged to use a shorter or longer cord and this would be my one knock. If the cord gets damaged the device becomes useless. For the price, it’s a great charger if you don’t need fast charging or if you don’t mind the non detectable cord.

I replaced my old phone mount in my car with this iottie Velox magnetic wireless charger and it works very well with my iPhone 13 Pro Max. The compact design of this charger mount looks neat, unlike those other bulky car mount. The magnetic is strong enough to hold my heavy iPhone 13 Pro Max without falling while driving and it charges my iPhone for up to 7.5W wireless fast charging also works well with my MagSafe iPhone case. Easy to install, just slide the prongs of the Velox onto your vehicle air vent and plug the built in USB-C cable to your vehicle port or use the car charger adapter, included with this magnetic charger. The adjustable ball joint on the back, help you adjust the cradle to any safe view position while driving, you can also put your iPhone vertical or horizontal position.
Pros : compact- strong magnetic hold- works well with MagSafe iPhone cases- includes car charger adapter for those cars that doesn’t have USB-C ports.
Cons – built in USB-C not detachable- does not charge as fast as you need on an iPhone 13 Pro Max (7.5W).

The case I had on my phone was listed as: “Support Wireless Charging & MagSafe”. I removed my old charger and mounted the iOttie Wireless mini. My old garger came off very easily, the iOttie immediately has tighter grip, and feels much more stable. As soon as I put my phone with the case on it on the charger, I discovered that a horizontal line appears on the screen that indicates where to center the phone on the charger (I guess this is a MagSafe feature as I’ve not seen this on Qi charger). And like that my phone was magnetically attracted to the charger and stayed in place…. I backed out of my garage and got to the curb in the street, and the phone fell off the charger. I popped the lightweight off the rubbery TPU case. And I put the “naked” phone back on the charger, it held much more firmly. I drove about, up and down hills and turns, the phone stayed attached. So I’m not sure who to blame for the case that the mfg that claimed it was magsafe compatible, yet magsafe didn’t exist when the phone was released. Or iOttie for not having strong enough magnets to hold my phone throught the thin TPU case. Either way, with my case, it’s easy on/off. The charger works very well with my phone, it has a 7.5w, which is kind of mediocre. I have wireless chargers with more than 10w (but not for the car).
So now there exists a reasonably priced magsafe charger for your car, with a magnetic support. From my simple testing it charges faster than the phone uses power, which makes this most reasonable for your car. And the vent clip works very well, and is easy to attach. Not bad at all, I can’t guarantee you can use it with your existing case. And I suspect newer “magsafe” cases really do work better.

I have an iPhone 15 pro. This works perfectly with my MagSafe case. Holds it firm and charges it. Blends in with the front of the car. No needless LEDs or other unnecessary garishness. Easy to set up. Just press it against the air vents and it clips on. Holds firmly. Rubbery coating prevents scratches. It’s very simple but it works. That’s really all one can ask of a charger.
They want 1000 minimum letters in this review, but I’ve already covered the main points. It works, looks fine, and achieved what I needed it to do. I need to get a 2nd one for my wife’s car. It’s nice to not have to fiddle with a usb cable that gets tangled or lost. This is just simple “plug and play” and you are ready to go.
Really my only “issue” is I wish this had a spare usb port on it. Would just make it a tad more versatile. As it, though, it hits my immediate charging needs so I’m not going to complain. Charging speed isn’t spectacular, but in a 1/2hr of charging from 1% I was up around 20% so not atrocious.

The iOttie – Velox Wireless Mini – MagSafe Compatible Air Vent Charger is a great improvement in the MagSafe technology as it steps up the hold security by leaps and bounds compared to previous iterations. Strong hold, fast charging, offers security and phone readiness when you need it most. For use in any car that has fin-based air vents, the iOttie holds tight and secure while ensuring you can see your maps or play your favorite songs with just a touch.
I found this new model to be a nice improvement related to the MagSafe. My previous iOttie holder would allow the phone to drop and made driving unsafe fumbling around for the phone under my feet. This model holds strong and I have not had it fall yet!! I am a bit disappointed with the clip in the back as it does not have a way to lock it into a position so the phone seems to sag downward overtime. Also, since my car allows for Apple Play, this unit requires having a second cord plugged in to access these features. This is not a flaw as much as it is a bit cumbersome.
PROS
– iOttie brand, quality, and design
– Strong MagSafe hold
– Fast charging via built-in USB-C
CONS
– Back clip sags a bit over time
– Not directly compatible with Apple Play

The charger works very well with any iPhone that has MagSafe charging. The charge cable is plenty long enough the cigarette charger is well made. The vent clip holds the charger firmly in place. Unlike most chargers that must clip to the phone, this charger uses the phones built in magnet to firmly hold the phone in place. It can be used with or without a phone case. If a phone case is used, it must be MagSafe compatible in order for the charger to work properly. The charging surface is large enough to provide a firm surface to connect. Charging time seems right on par with what you get with the standard MagSafe chargers. The color is a matte black that will go well with most car interiors. I have been using in a Jeep and have taking it with me over some very rough terrain. The charger has remained clipped to the vent well and the phone connection is very secure. I have noticed some connection lose with one of my thick phone cases, but it has worked fine with my thin one used most often.

Not to tattle on myself but for years I’ve been driving around with my phone in my pocket, lap, or hand, as I’ve been to lazy of exploring a mount until now.
Out of the box, there’s not tons going on naturally and that’s not a bad thing. The device, cord, and power are all connected, thus making setup a breeze. You simply wiggle/jam the prongs through your air vent to hold the magnet up, plug the adaptor into your cigarette lighter on the other end, and you’re good to go. Very freaking simple.
The look is modern and sleek as you’d imagine. Nothing sticks out as overly creative or high end, nor should it really so I won’t dock them points for that.
The charging works great, I’ve yet to go near an empty to full charge, but I will say that I took a six hour road trip this weekend while my buddy watched three movies on full brightness and sound the entire time as it was plugged in and being held up by the magnet. Not only was I pleasantly surprised that the charge held and never went down, but also that when I took my phone off it wasn’t overheating.
Most importantly, to my delight, the magnet held onto the phone totally fine through sharp turns, bumpy roads, brake checks, etc. Never once was I ever concerned that it’d come off the magnet which is arguably the most important feature.
The only reason I’m docking a point here is that while easy, I don’t love that the cord is permanently attached on both sides. I’d love to be able to detach the cord at the magnet to be able to only rely on the magnet majority of the time, yet charge my phone when needed. Seeing as I’m normally not seeking a charge, not only do I have an extra cord running through my car display, but now it’s preventing me from using my cigarette lighter for any other device (such as my security cam).
All said, that’s a relatively minor issue and I’d still recommend this charger for anyone else with an iPhone 12 or higher and MagSafe capabilities.

The iOttie Velox Wireless Mini is a good MagSafe charger for the car, however, it is very dependent on your specific car layout. The iOttie Velox Mini is a MagSafe compatible charger that features a vent clip for mounting in the car, a built-in usb-c cable, and a power outlet adapter that can provide up to 7.5W of charging power. This charger is for MagSafe equipped iPhones only, so nothing before iPhone 12, and no Android here. I tested it with my aging iPhone 12 Pro Max. I don’t have a USB-C port in my car, so I opted to use the included 12V power adapter, which was a bit of a bummer, because I had to unplug my dashcam to test this, as I only have one 12V port. I would have preferred if the iOttie didn’t have the charging cable built-in, and I could opt to use a regular USB-A cable instead, as my vehicle has plenty of those ports free. This issue aside, actually performance was very nice. The strength of the magnet in the charger is perfect, enough to hold the phone in place while not seeming overwhelmingly strong that you can’t easily get your phone off. It also provides a seemingly quick charge. When I first tested it, I noticed I was at about 40% charge, and within a short 15 minute drive, I was already over 80%. My only other issue with this charger is something I mentioned earlier, and that is that it will be very specific to the layout of your vehicle. In my vehicle, my vents are a little to close to the driver that I don’t really like where it leaves the phone. And the vents are not huge, so my 12 Pro Max pretty much completely covers the vent, to the point it was noticeably warmer when I was using it. However, this will be a personal preference to each person. Just be sure to take note of where your vents are, how big they are, and how big your phone is. Overall, if you take all this in to consideration, this actual performance of this charger is great. I just wish they gave you the option to use a different cable. That is the only thing holding me back from giving it a full 5 stars.

The iOttie Velox Wireless Mini car phone holder is a paragon of robust design and functional aesthetics, ensuring a secure and efficient charging experience for MagSafe compatible phones, including the iPhone 12, 13, 14, and 15 series. Its dense construction and sturdy grip are indicative of a high-quality build, designed to withstand the test of time. The 12V charger, equipped with a USB-C female port, offers versatile connection options, allowing for direct plug-in to a vehicle’s USB-C port or utilizing the charger. The slim cable design ensures neat placement within the vehicle’s interior, maintaining a clean and organized look. Additionally, its adjustable position feature and stylish midnight blue color not only add a touch of elegance but also ensure optimal usability. Noteworthy is the ease of installation, which is straightforward and user-friendly, and the stability of the holder, even on rough, uneven roads, ensuring your phone stays securely in place during turbulent drives.

I love products from iOttie. I like their stuff a lot. This MagSafe compatible charger is perhaps my favorite thing from them.
One issue I’ve had in the past with any kind of air vent phone holder is that they all too frequently fall off the vent at some point. My last one, also from iOttie, fell as well. Not as often as ones from other manufacturers thanks to a tightening mechanism built in to it. Maybe once every third month.
I can already tell after using this for the better part of a week that will not be a problem with this one. When I first took it out of the box I was worried as it didn’t have that tightening thing on it. Then I tried to mount it to my air vent. I say try only because the holder thing is already so tight I was halfway afraid I’d break my vent mounting it. I drive for Lyft fairly regularly and this thing has not moved or shifted at all. Impressive.
As for the MagSafe part I can report that this holder securely holds my iPhone 12 Pro Max. When I first opened the box I attached my phone to the charger, holding it over my bed, and shook it vigorously and it kept it in place. I do have the Apple Clear Case on the phone and it’s designed to be MagSafe compaitible.
It keeps my phone charged and does not interfere with the Wireless Apple CarPlay in my SUV which was another thing I was concerned with.
The freedom to just hop in my car and wirelessly mount my phone is awesome. The freedom to just grab the phone and go is equally, if not more, awesome.
As I’ve found typical of iOttie products this is an absolute home run.

Used other iOttie products before and have consistently been good quality products.
The phone dock is the size of the MagSafe ring on the back of the iPhone. Because it’s round, I can put the phone in either horizontal or vertical positions.
The prongs that slide into the vent are hard so it won’t move and coated in a rubberized material that doesn’t scratch the vehicle.
It has a long, non-removable cable that is thin and flexible. The connection is USB-C and it comes with a lighter to USB-C connector as well.
It also works if the vehicle has an USB connector. I’m using an USB to USB-C adapter and connecting it to the vehicle because I don’t have an extra lighter plug, which will charge more slowly but works fine.
Although it’s round and doesn’t have the extra magnet on the bottom, it holds the phone securely.
There is a small vent behind the charger that helps dissipate heat from the wireless charger.
I’m using it on iPhone Pro Max 13 with a MagSafe case.
The max charge capacity when using the provided lighter adapter is 7.5W, which is not as fast as Apple’s desktop MagSafe charger, but it does work with any USB-C plug even if it doesn’t provide as much power.

I have been wanting an air vent holder for my iPhone for a long time now. I was excited to give this a try. It comes with the holder, and USB C Charging cable and plug adapter for your car. The cable is nice and long so you should be able to position this in the middle or even the side air vents of just about any vehicle.
Out of the box my first impression was the holder has a nice weight to it and the clamp that holds it to the air vent is solid and sturdy. First I tried using it in a Toyota HIghlander XLE. I attached it to the center air vent on the driver side. It connects easily to the vent and is very solid. Next I placed my iPhone 13 Pro Max (with MagSafe case) to the unit. The magnetic connections was instant and easy to find. However as soon as I let go of the phone, the entire unit tilted downward, This causes the air flow DOWN out of the vent. There could be a few different reasons why this happened, but I suspect it has to do with the weight of my phone in combination with an air vent that is easily moved. This is really my only complaint of the unit. There needs to be a way to keep the vent from falling when the phone is attached.
My phone charges and connects with ease, it is easy to see my phone while driving now (for maps) or if I am using it for carplay. IN the highlander the holder and iPhone do not seem to block much of the vent, since these vents are quite wide. However I did notice that the air blowing on it makes the phone quite cool. Not sure if this is an issue for the phone over time or not (think about long road trips). But an observation I had.
Next I tried it in a Hyundai Elantra. Again I used the center air vent on the passenger side of the console. This time when I attached the phone to the unit the air vent remained in its place. So perhaps the design of the vents is different enough between the Elantra and the Highlander to allow the vent to not move when the phone and holder are added. However it does seem to block much of the air vent itself, which means I am COOLING my phone a lot (Summer heat in Florida so the AC is always on) and the air from that vent is not really being sent out into the car or reaching the driver or passenger like it used to.
So to recap, my main issue is that the weight of the unit plus the weight of the iPhone caused the air vent to be redirected down and there is no way with the current until to keep it upright so air flows throughout the vehicle or towards the front passenger or driver. Overall I am enjoying this product but do wish there was a better way to NOT block the vent and to keep the vent positioned where you want it without the weight of the unit and phone redirecting the air flow.

This is great if you have vents to place it on. I just wished MagSafe had a pop socket part that was magnetic and able to do the wireless charging. This is my only thing is that I have to take off my MagSafe pop socket piece to use this.
With this though, my only gripe is that the wire is hard wired into the piece. I would have like to see it plug in for those times I don’t need my phone to charge, and I can just place the wire into my glove box or something out of the way. Unfortunately, this is not the case. So, the wire just hangs there when not needed. That said, the cord is pretty long.
It has vent holes built in to help with heat.
The Magnet is pretty strong and holds phone easily without issues, as well as the part that attaches to the vents.
I also like the design and looks. Easy to use.
Overall, pretty good accessory to have if you have a MagSafe phone case. The only thing I would have changed was having the cord able to detach. And hopefully MagSafe can come up with a compatible Pop Socket magnet part as I love using phone with the Pop Socket.

With MagSafe compatibility and 7.5W wireless fast charging, the Velox Magnetic Wireless Charger will fill up your iPhone battery fast and securely while on the go. A compact design with a simple, reliable vent mount connection, this is a charger you can trust to handle even the bumpiest of rides.
I love the minimal dashboard real estate which the Velox charger uses. The magnetic surface is small, and perfectly aligned with a MagSafe ring or the back of an iPhone. This design allows for both portrait and landscape connection. And unlike some other vent mounts that stick far out, the Velox charger sits almost flush with your car’s vent. The rubber grips are tight and can conform to almost any shape of static or movable air vent. Also a plus is the ease with which you can mount the charger – no tricky twisting and vent-catching, no two-handed contorting to get it to stabilize, etc. Just push in and you’re done, plain and simple.
The charge speed is acceptable. I get a decent amount of juice event while using maps applications or fiddling with a music or podcast app. The constant tap-tap-tapping doesn’t jostle the phone from its holder either, as it has a very good stick to it.
The wire to the car socket is very long; it can definitely reach an armrest power port, with plenty of wire to tuck away, but I use it with the port directly below the dashboard and have to roll up a lot of excess wire. It’s not a big deal to me but opinions may vary on that. The wire is affixed to the magnetic mount, but the other side can be removed from the supplied auxiliary power outlet and connected directly to a USB-C port if one is available.
Overall, the mount is a great accessory for your on-the-go iPhone. The Velox charger is a compact, fast mount that is easy to install and can handle almost any vent with ease. It stays out of the way but is within reach at the same time, exactly what you want from a phone mount.

Before getting the Velox Magnetic Wireless Charger by iottie, I used a vent-anchored magnetic mount and a USB charging cable. I’m sure it was a lot of wear on my charging cable and charging port. However, now, I don’t have to worry about using a charging cable with the Velox. The vent grip prongs effectively secure a tight mount, and the rotating ball joint gives me the facing flexibility I need for my phone. I do recommend using small cable mounts to prevent entangling the USB cable.
I have a MagSafe compatible case for my phone, and while it does work with the Velox Charger, I have to make sure the placement of the phone is in the exact correct spot. If the phone is not in the same right place, it tends to fall off when I hit a bump in the road. Without the phone case, I can be off-center.
Overall, I’m happy with the Velox Magnetic Wireless Charger.
Features
• MagSafe Compatible
• Vice-like prongs grip the vent securely
• Soft silicone face
• Rotating ball joint for easy adjustment
• Two years warranty
• Compact design

I really like this MagSafe compatible air vent charger. I have tried other models that fit in a CD player or suction onto the car but this is the first one that stays in place without shaking or moving around a lot. And although it is a charger, I think what I like best about it is that it holds my phone in a comfortable and convenient position to be able to use the navigation without having to look down at my cup holder.
The charger is very easy to install. Just push it into the vent and it stays put, even when you pull your phone off of it. You can then plug in the USB-C cable directly or use the DC adapter that it comes with. Since my car is older I needed to use the DC adapter. The cord does look a little messy so I pushed mine off to the side so it didn’t interfere with my touchscreen.
The charging capabilities seem to work well, but for some my phone won’t go into standby mode when rotating it sideways. At first I thought it was because the DC adapter in my car didn’t have enough power, but for some reason both my kids’ phones worked on standby. Oh well, it’s clearly a pretty good product if the only negative I have to say is that.
It’s been nice to have this addition to my car and I would recommend this product to others looking for this functionality.

Barring the drawbacks associated with vent-mounted chargers, the MagSafe option makes this Velox Wireless Mini MagSafe Compatible Air Vent Car Charger stand above the rest of the run-of-the-mill chargers. The MagSafe portion is ventilated, and has a clip/wedge that is on a ball joint to allow different angles to hold the phone.
Of the three vehicles we have, the Audi is the one this worked in best because there is a vent that is away from screens, buttons, or other controls. There didn’t seem to be anywhere to put the mount in the Tesla Model 3. The vent clip/wedge doesn’t want to stay in the ventilation strip, and I couldn’t figure out anywhere else to even try to mount the rubber vent clip/wedge. The BMW has traditional vents, but the driver’s side vent is small enough that the phone covered the vent almost entirely, and when the phone is placed on the mount if in the middle vents above the climate control it blocks controls as well as the vent. It’s usable in the BMW, but I didn’t care for what it blocks when the phone is on it.
I attempted to use the clip/wedge in a cigarette plug. It seemed to work. The position of the plug wasn’t convenient, but I know that other vehicles have a socket in a convenient place. Given the type of mounting clip/plug that’s mounted on the charger, I’m thinking of alternate mounting and uses for the mount. I’ve already found a couple places where the clip/wedge fits secure enough to hold my phone.

I have my phone up on the dashboard as I use it when I’m driving for navigation. Usually I have to spend the extra time to plug a wire in to charge it when using it, so my hope with this charger and holder could do it all.
I like the overall product, and the fact that you get the cigarette litter and also a USB-C as most cars now have a USB C built in. Its also pretty small and easy to get in a vent of the car. It also feels sturdy and not some cheap plastic like my other holder, so overall it seems great. When the phone stays on the older with the magnet, it works great. It charges my phone and lets me see it and its easy to get on.
Unfortunately, the magnet is not very strong so my phone falls off. I had a small iPhone 12 mini with a light case, so it says on sometimes but when you hit a bump the phone falls off. I also tried an iPhone 13 Pro Max with a case, and it didn’t even stay on. So if you don’t use a case and have a small phone it might work for you, but anything heavy or a thick case and it won’t stay. So this has made the product unusable to me. I could use it as a wireless charger in the house, but the problem is the holder cannot come off so it doesn’t make sense.
If there is an updated version with a stronger magnet, I would recommend it. But right now it doesn’t really work unless you want to constantly be picking your phone off the floor.

I’ve observed some case manufacturers that seem to be okay with obstructing the MagSafe charger area with products that protect the camera lenses. This is more of a bad design choice on apple’s part, but I recently had to replace my first on the go MagSafe charger due to its large bulk not allowing the phone to lay flat and charge. The iOttie does not have that issue! I liked the mounting options, and after it’s fitted, it feels solid. The magnet is just okay, which I’m guessing means it matches the strength of the Apple factory magnet. I prefer chargers that hav stronger magnets, as the Apple factory one seems to be able to let loose on bumpy roads or bad potholes, which feels like a liability. The ball
Joint t allows you to adjust the position of the phone, but I also feel like it contributes to the unsteady feeling over time. Lastly, 7.5w charging bums me out. If you are taking a phone call and using Apple car play to navigate, 7.5w is not enough to keep my phone turned on, and I would prefer 15w. Overall this product is made decently, it just doesn’t have the right feature set for me.

iOttie: Velox Wireless Mini Magsafe Air Vent Car Phone Air Vent Phone Holder is where it charges and hands-free travels. The charger is mag-safe and compatible, so it works with iPhones that use this tech. It also works very well with Magsafe-compatible cases. I’ve had previous models, but this one, the magnetic hold, is perfect. It does not fall off. I’ve had others that did. But this one holds tough. It also includes a power plug for lighter ports.
It has a built-in USB cable, now the new standard for iPhones. The wireless charging is 7.5, which is good but not fast. My only drawback is that in newer cars, the vents are less sturdy than in the past, making them slump down when using the holder.
I wish they included a suction cup or something to connect to the dashboard of the window. But all in all, this is the one that holds the phone. It won’t fall, and you’re charging a plus for any iPhone owner of a 12 or better on the go. This one is a definite win check it out.

iOttie Velox Wireless Mini Air Vent Mount for iphone
included- wireless mount, USB-c cable, 10w adapter
The iOttie Velox wireless mini air vent mount is so easy to use. Just slide the prongs into your car’s air vents. It stays secure with the silicone grips. Connect the USB-C cable to either your car’s USB-C port or use the included 10W adapter to plug it into the auxiliary power outlet. Then tap the Magsafe iphone against the front of the mount. There is an adjustable ball and joint that connects the mount to the prongs, that allows you to adjust the phone so you can adjust your view.
I like this little iOttie Velox wireless air vent because the surface area is large enough to have a strong hold but not too big that it blocks too much air flow. It also has tiny air vents built in so that the air can blow out of the vent keeping the air vent useable. The only drawback for me personally is that I wish the cord would disconnect if you do not need to charge it but would still want to use the mount. I don’t constantly charge my phone but it would be useful to mount my phone there if I’m using the maps function and since the cord is permanently attached, it just hangs there and I want to be able to put the cord away when not in use.
Pros-
Super easy to position/install
Use with just a tap
Strong magnet
Delivers up to 7.5W of power
Cons-
Somewhat spendy
Power cord is permanently attached
MacUser –
Installation is very easy. You just plug the included 12V USB-C adapter into your vehicle’s socket and then attach the MagSafe holder to the power source. You then push the holder onto an available air vent. The grip on the vent is pretty stable and the magnet holds onto the phone securely. Once you have attached the phone a few times, it gets pretty easy to put it into the right spot and the magnet pulls it out of your hand. The cord is a good length and the profile is low so looks good on the dash.
After a few days (and a couple hundred miles due to some longer trips recently), I can share my experience using this mount/charger for hours at a time and minutes at a time. The material for this mount is like a soft plastic/silicone feel. It feels solid and durable. I mean, what do you plan on doing with this thing? It should just be staying inside your car…doesn’t really need to be built like a tank if you ask me. In terms of comparability, it works great with my iPhone 13 Pro Max (even with a MagSafe case on the phone). The phone snaps on and off with ease and feels like it is attached well to the mount. This is confirmed by my hundreds of miles of driving with my phone on this mount. The phone stayed on and didn’t rotate or do anything crazy all throughout my journey. Adjustment is very convenient if you want to tilt/angle your phone a certain way.
Now, for the charging aspect of this device. I love the idea of wireless charging implemented into a car mount. I think it just makes sense (coming from someone who has had their phone charge by wire in the car for years). With this device, I find that charging works very well. At the max Qi output of 7.5W, charging speeds were adequate. I am guessing that the phone receiving cool air directly from the air vent behind the mount helps keep components cool and increase charging efficiency (if you’ve ever used a wireless charger you know a byproduct of the process is a decent amount of heat). To give you an idea of charging speed, my iPhone 13 Pro Max went from ~20%-80% in 1.5hrs with maps running the entire time, music playing in the background, and brightness ~70%.
I’m a satisfied customer and already recommend to several my friends.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max stays put – it is not too heavy – some vent mount chargers will fall down, great value

I personally normally don’t like phone stands that hook to car air-vents, but this one is set up so it wedges into the vent and prevents it from pointing down all the time. It still wouldn’t be my first choice because of that, but it works well for what it was designed to do. I just couldn’t find another option that worked for me

Cord was a little to long
Otherwise great!
Would recommend

Holds the phone very strongly, on the flipside its hard to remove the phone from the magnet making the clip slide out of the vent constantly.
LuisC –
Holds the phone great but the charge takes a long time.

It blocks a whole vent but its ok. My wife’s iphone 15 pro max might be too big for it

Works exactly how expected. Highly recommend to a friend.

It’s ok… was hoping for better. Phone falls off every time you make a turn in the car.

Love this charger, no more phone falling on the floor of my vehicle.

I purchased this for my vehicle to enjoy the convenience of wireless apple car play as well as wireless charging in a vent mount form as the wireless charger built into my vehicle is located low and is inconvenient to access. Before even leaving the Best Buy parking lot I took this out of the packaging and set up. My iPhone would show as charging for about 5 seconds and then just stop. This was repeatable each time I took my phone off of the charger and immediately put back on. I ran right back into the store to swap for a replacement and the second example performed the same way. I ordered a similar product made by Belkin from the Apple store down the street (Best Buy doesn’t carry the model) and the Belkin product works as intended. This could be just a bad batch of the product, but I wasn’t willing to try a third one.

Works great. Have had this item for about a month now. Really works good especially having an older car.

Small but strong hold in the vents. Charging feature is great with less cords to deal with.

Holds a 15 Pro Max with a silicone case. Rock solid. Wish it had longer grips, but that’s unique to my setup.

I like how easy this was to set up. Not having to deal with charging cables is so nice! Only two (small) downsides are that it doesn’t charge super fast (went up just 6% during a 20 minute drive), and if I try to remove my phone too quickly, the mount will sometimes pop off the vent.

small and fast charging magsafe vent mount charger. the magent holds well; just might have to adjust the vent too improve positioning. 5/5
