TechBuyer –
iOttie has definitely stepped up their game with the Velox MagSafe Duo Charger. It has the super premium look and feel of a high-end Apple accessory and the packaging and everything else look and feel great.
Most importantly, the product works great as well. One of my favorite upgrades in the last few years with iPhones has been the introduction of MagSafe. Induction charging used to be kind of slow and with car mounts, the magnet to hold the phone blocked the inductive charging capabilities. Then accessory mfgs like iOttie introduced clip/spring style inductive chargers which worked ok, but it could be a pain to remove phones especially if you had a case.
With MagSafe the magnet is integrated and the phone hangs and charges, brilliant!!! It looks great and it’s extremely functional too. My wife also had airpod Pros so she can charge them too on this charger and they fit right into the groove. Only thing it is missing is the Apple Watch charger but 2/3 isn’t bad.
One thing to note is that there is no usb-c wall plug included, so you will need to purchase a wall plug or buy an outlet that has usb-c. I didn’t take a star off for this because most Apple devices have gone in this direction.
Love this charger from iOttie!!!

This is the second iOttie brand product I own. Both are well-made, and perform just as good as they look. This Velox MagSafe Duo Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand has the stylish appearance of a high-end electronic accessory, without the “high-end” cost.
The surface of the round magnetic mounting disk on the metal stand, as well as, the AirPod charging pad, is made of a smooth silicone material. The metal stand itself is a delicate ‘golden’ color and gives this practical everyday accessory a much more “fancy” look.
The only ‘downside’ I can see is that the power cord, which attaches to the base, isn’t detachable, so you are unable to remove it and replace it in case the cord gets damaged in some way. It’s nice to have that option as “life happens,” but alas, this accessory does not have this option.
Overall, I’m liking this iOttie Velox Duo Magnetic Charging Stand. It’s really convenient to be able to charge both devices (iPhone and AirPods) at the same time; to just put them together in one place for charging, and then to grab them when you’re ready to go.

This is very solid construction and attractive design. The base is sufficiently heavy that it’s not going to move around when you take your phone off the stand or let the magnets clip it on. However, rather than just pulling the phone directly off, you need to angle it a bit first to break the connection. Otherwise, you are going to need a second hand to hold the base steady while pulling your phone off. The base has a slightly scalloped area to charge your earbuds which helps to align the charging coils. However, it is a bit finicky about being lined up exactly. I used it to charge a pair of Samsung buds and the charging light kept cycling on and off until I got them positioned just right. The post that supports the phone charger is very sturdy, and there’s no wobble where it meets the base. The phone is positioned at a good angle, but I would like the ability to tweak the angle up or down. This one is not moving; it’s fixed firmly in place. The only other drawback is that the cord is permanently attached to the charger, it’s not a separate USB C cord that you could swap out if it starts to wear, or if you wanted a shorter or longer cord. It does appear to work fine with a lower-powered charger, able to supply both the phone and buds with power at the same time.

The iOttie Velox charger is a well made MagSafe charger option for iPhone users. The Velox charger gives you the ability to charge your iPhone and AirPods or other Qi enabled earbuds together. As much as like the ability to charge earbuds, having the ability to charge an Apple Watch would have been a nice addition instead. The charger feels very sturdy and the aluminum and plastic construction has a quality feel. The charging cable is built in to the stand and cannot be detached. This to me is a negative because if the cable gets damaged the stand is useless, a removable cable would have been a lot better. The charging end of the cable is a USB-C which is nice, but it doesn’t come with a power brick. This is becoming more and more the norm for devices as companies push more environmentally friendly designs.
The Velox doesn’t take advantage of the iPhones fast charging capabilities even with a power brick that can. iOttie says it will charge the iPhone @ 7.5w and AirPods @ 5w and recommends a 20w power brick. If this is your bedside charger (like it’s is for me) and you’re charging overnight that wouldn’t be a concern, but if you need fast charging this doesn’t have it. As an initial test, I was able to charge my 14 pro max from 53% to 80% in about an hour and fifteen minutes. The Velox by iOttie is a nice 2 in 1 charging stand in the ever expanding field of MagSafe chargers.
D1maddog1 –
The product is packaged very well. It looks great, with a deep blue base & MagSafe pad, with a light golden stand. It is constructed very solid, and feels very good to hold. The charging pad in the base, is lined with a velvety silicone or other soft material, and charges ear buds with no problem. Unfortunately, it is not that useful in charging my iPhone or keeping it in place.
The lenses on the iPhone 14 PRO are much more prominant than that of the 12 or 13. It will charge the iPhone, but due to the bezel on the MagSafe charging pad, in conjunction with the raised camera lenses, the iPhone will not sit flush on the iOttie Velox MagSafe Duo’s MagSafe charging pad. It will charge the iPhone if you slightly angle the camera lenses against the MagSafe charging pad, but because it is not making full contact with the MagSafe pad, the iPhone falls off the iOttie’s MagSafe pad if there is excessive vibration or if the iPhone vibrates when it rings.
IF you purchase an extra metal MagSafe ring and place it on the iOttie Velox MagSafe Duo’s charging pad, it will make full contact with your iPhone 14 PRO and hold it in place. But you should not have to but the ring.
Idoc –
The iOttie-Velox MagSafe Duo is a contemporary styled Wireless charger for your iPhone and qi enabled earbuds. The base and charging pad are black and the metal parts are chrome. As long as your iPhone case is MagSafe compatible.
The stand will hold it is the optimal position for viewing while it is charging, perfect for a work desk, nightstand or anyplace you would like to see the phone while it charges. A charging pad for your Qi enabled earbuds on the base has a slight curved depression to keep them in place.
The stand supplies 7.5W to the phone and 5W to the earbuds for wireless QI charging. A black USB C charging cable that is long enough to reach your charger for most situations connects to a charger (not supplied) to supply power. . There is a led light on the charging pad to indicate charging is active. The stand has a nonslip silicone on the base.
This charging stand is well made, good looking and functional a great charging alternative to those ugly pads and charging pucks.
TECHBEENGOOD –
The iOttie charging stand is well designed if you need a combination of charging, regular display of your phone screen, and a convenient place to keep your MagSafe-enabled earbud case charged and ready to go. The aesthetics aren’t luxury, but still nice looking on a desk-top or bedside table. It is not “fast-charge” enabled.
This iteration of iOttie’s Velox MagSafe Duo Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand does NOT include the AC adapter (power brick). For me, the missing AC adapter is not a problem in my home where I have numerous USB plug-in charging stations. However, it is inconvenient for my traveling activities. It sends me on a hunt for my USB-C charging brick if I’m going to be on the road.
The magnetic pull of the charging disk is OK and effective on my naked iPhone 13. It will not hold on to my iPhone if it remains in my inexpensive, clear plastic, protective case. There are other cases that solve this problem by embedding magnets in the case, itself. I have to decide whether to acquire a new case for my aging phone or forgo a case entirely. I didn’t want another decision to make.
I can make this phone/earbud case, charging solution work for me. But, it’s only fair to note that it will come up short for others. The iOttie Velox requires compromises if your needs don’t match what it offers.
Farns –
Having read some of the reviews prior to posting I felt it right to correct some of the misinformation that seems to be out there regarding this “MagSafe Compatible” Charger.
Power Brick not included: Confirmed. Is this a mistake? Probably. Is this common? Absolutely. I will note, that I find this USB-C connector preferable to a dedicated power-brick pin solution that other prominent makers of these types of stands have. At least I have the flexibility to use with whatever USB-C charge I want.
Charging capability: 7.5W to the phone / 5W to the base. This is not going to fast charge your iPhone no matter what power-brick you pair with it. This is great to use on your night stand to charge overnight.
iPhone 14 Pro Compatibility: I have no idea what the 1-star reviewer is talking about, but there is no issue with iPhone 14 Pro and anything to do with larger camera bezels. I’m guessing he copied a review of a similarly named Apple product, but please rest assured that this charging stand works perfectly well with iPhone 14 Pro.
Magnet Strength: A few reviewers noted that magnet strength was a little weak and that they wouldn’t work with cases that weren’t MagSafe compatible. This is to be expected. Also to be expected – the heavier the phone the more strain on the magnetic connection. An iPhone Mini 13 will have a stronger connection than an iPhone 14 Pro Max. That’s just basic engineering. All naked iPhones will still mount securely without issue and if you have a case just make sure it’s got the embedded MagSafe ring. Easy peasy.
Ultimately, this is an attractive stand that’s well built and charges your iPhone and airpods (or other Qi compatible devices) and that’s all it does. Buy it for looks and aesthetics and enjoy it!

Excellent choice for quality and value!
First impressions, this is a quality item. Packaging was solid and simple. Opening box you’ll find the charger and the ubiquitous simple info sheet. Not too much to it, but what is there certainly feels high quality. It’s made of metal and solid plastics. Other similar products I’ve tested had a cheap feel. They certainly worked, but did not have the heft and attractive lines that this has.
We tested with my wife’s iPhone 13 Pro and AirPods Pro. The Velox handled both like a champ. The phone was held in place with a confident feel and the AirPods sat comfortably on the indented pad.
A couple of items to note: First {as advertised} it does not come with a plug in block for wall charging. No big deal, most of us have a couple extra laying around. Second, the case we tested for her phone was a Spec case and it did NOT hold magnetically nor did it charge. That said, her AirPods DID charge while in their case. Just know, this is case specific and your individual case may or may not work.
End of the day, this a welcome addition to most any décor, desk or counter. A great value in an attractive device.
I would recommend to a friend.

Well when it comes to design, it’s form factor is simply beautiful. It’s sleek, attractive, and modern. It fits into any room. The brass or brushed gold accent is lovely and it’s not bulky or intrusive.
The weighted base keeps it firmly on the tabletop, even with my leather case that’s also a wallet that swings open. It holds the phone steady and has a strong enough magnet to hold up the phone with the extended wallet which tends to make my phone heavy to one side when charging.
The bonus to being able to charge the phone is having the ability to charge another device, like my AirPods or Apple Watch, stylishly haha. No bulky flat ugly charging pads or watches levitating in the air to charge.
The cord is long which is great. But It’s attached to the base and cannot be removed or replaced. It is not fast at all when it comes to charging. In fact, it’s so slow in my opinion that I’ve found myself removing my phone and just plugging it up on my regular charging cord when I need my phone to be charged rapidly.
For me this is only useful for night time when you are sleeping, evenings when you’ve given yourself a break from your phone or downtimes like a lazy Sunday afternoon. But if you have places to be or things to do and you need your phone to gain some juice before leaving home, don’t bother. It’ll take some time.
5 stars for looks, minus 2 stars for its lack of speed during charging.

The iOttie Velox MagSafe duo charger is a nice-looking premium charger with an affordable price point. It’s a premium-looking charger that blends in well with most environments. Not only does it charge your iPhone but it can also charge your Air Pods at the same time including any Qi-enabled earbuds.
The magnets do an excellent job of holding on to your iPhone when charging. Charging speeds were decent coming in under 2 hrs to fully charge my iPhone 13 Pro Max from 11% battery life. For the charging brick, I used a 25 watt charger that came with my Samsung Phone. Your mileage might vary depending on the charging brick you use. I recommend at minimum a 20 watt charger which most USB Type C chargers should be.
There are some small quirks I should mention. The first one is the built-in cable. Now the built-in cable has a generous amount of cable length, but for longevity, it means once the cable goes out you will pretty much end up with a dead paperweight. The built-in cable was barely long enough to reach my nightstand from the outlet. I would prefer the ability to use my own USB-C cable instead. I don’t expect this to be an issue since the charger is meant to be stationary, but the risk is there either way. The last one is the LED light that only seems to light up when charging your earbuds but not when the iPhone is charging. Not even when your iPhone is the only thing charging.
Overall the iOttie Velox Magsafe Duo Charger is well worth the asking price. It’s well-built that looks and feels premium. The only thing missing is the ability to charge your Apple Watch. It doesn’t come with a charging adapter but the price well makes up for it. It’s an excellent accessory to compliment your iPhone and Air Pods.

The iOttie – Velox MagSafe magnetic charging station is sleek, elegant, and looks great on your desktop, nightstand or actually anywhere you charge devices. The brushed aluminum and dark blue color provide a nice contrast and it has a weighted base with non-slip feet.
I use it on my desk to charge my phone throughout the day and the strong magnet keeps the phone firmly in place. It’s at the perfect angle for viewing and I can see messages and phone calls without having to pick up my phone. The USB-C charging cord is long enough to use this just about anywhere.
Offers dual wireless charging for your IPhone and Airpods (or other Qi enabled device).
Both the magnetic face and base charge pad have a soft felt-like material on them to prevent scratching. The phone charge boasts 7.5 watts, the base is 5 watts, and you can charge both at the same time without any noticeable decrease in speed.
It charges and holds your phone if it doesn’t have a case, but the greatest feature – other than the cool design – is that it charges equally as well if your phone is in a MagSafe compatible case. No longer do you have to remove the case to charge your phone!
Such a cool look and practical as well.

I like this charging stand because of the design and color, I have an iPhone 13 pro max gold. It looks great whether it is charging or not. The base has a pad to charge the airpods with wireless charging case too.
Regarding the device itself I can say that for the price I expected to have the wall charger included but it is not, however I’m not using the charger for my iphone, so I use it to connect the base and it works properly. The magnet holds the phone very well but if used with case, this must be compatible with magsafe because if not the phone does not hold in the base. The only charging indicator light is on the bottom and is activated only when the airpods are placed to charge.
Despite not having fast charging, it doesn’t take long to charge my iPhone, I’d say it’s like using a regular wall charger. The Airpods also take the regular time to charge to 100%, I don’t really notice any difference.
In summary, this wireless charging stand is visually aesthetic and looks elegant, it weighs just enough to hold my phone and to remove the phone from the stand without a problem. Charging the phone is ok since it takes a little longer than fast charging, Airpods no problem. It is a solid product that fulfills its purpose.

Upgraded my phone to the iPhone 14 Max Pro and decided to upgrade my charger as well. My old phone was a iPhone X that did have wireless charging but didn’t seem to charge very fast and it was very picky about where it was located on the charging pad. I was being cautions on plunging into another wireless charge especially one that looks like it just holds the phone there. Well I’m happy to say that this works like a charm! Note that you will need to get a USB-C adapter to plug it into if you want to plug it into the wall. Once everything was connected I placed the phone on it and it grab it and held it in place with ease. You can also rotate it just by spinning it. It charges just as well as my corded charger or at least it seems that way. The base will also charge your air pods just by placing them on the base. So the bottom line is this is a great charger that would look good on any desk or nightstand. I’m glad I took the plunge on the new charger. They have come a long way from my previous one.

Pro:
-Strong magnet
-Dual charging
Con:
-No adapter included
-Charging bay is 5W
-Non detachable cable
The charging stand works well and is a good space saver with dual charging. It looks nice and clean with an aluminum build. The Magsafe has a strong magnet and works well with a compatible Magsafe phone case. If you have a very thin case, the magnet may be strong enough to hold it in place. One annoyance is that the stand is light so whenever I try to remove my phone, it picks up the stand with it.
The charging bay is not a fast charger, at only 5W. It’s just big enough to place a phone on and has a bit of a curve but can still charge my older phone through its case. The LED will blink red, I think when the device is fully charged.
The stand has a non detachable USB-C cable and doesn’t include a power adapter. I don’t mind not having an adapter, but I would rather it have a removable cable so I could replace it if needed. I have mine plugged into a multiport charger and it’s been working fine.

iottie Magnetic Wireless Charging Duo Stand
Summary:
Purposeful and sleek dual charging stand.
Pros:
* Firm grip. The magnetic charging stand has a matte coating and magnet that ensures a great grip on your devices.
* Stylish contrasting materials and colors add a touch of sophistication not seen in other colors (white on white, silver on white, black, etc.).
* Form factor is just right. It takes up only as much space as it needs on your desk and not one square inch more.
* Works great when paired with an adequately sized power supply (not included).
Cons:
* Perhaps not an issue, but it could use some adjustability.
* WISH LIST – Would love an option that included Apple Watch charging, too.
Use:
I am redoing my office space and really needed a charger/holder that I could put at my desk while working. This unit matches the new aesthetic just fine. Matte golds and rubberized blacks give it a svelte and modern look. Paired with a nice power supply and this unit charges phones and air pods in a snap. Plus, it holds devices securely while using the phones for FaceTime or other video calls.

I recently made the move back to iPhone from Android, and one of the most pleasant additions coming back to this world is MagSafe. I was very excited to pick up this magnetic charging stand, and I’ve been very pleased.
The navy/gold color scheme is sleek, yet understated – a nice break from the monotonous black/grey/white we’re usually stuck with in tech accessories.
The magnet for the phone to attach to is strong. Very strong. I’m a big fan of that, as this charger lives on my night stand and as someone who tosses and turns frequently, the peace of mind of knowing that if I bump my phone in the middle of the night, it won’t drop to the floor and stop charging (and make turning off my alarm a nightmare) is pretty great.
I’m also quite pleased with the charging time as well. Though to be fair, I’m not sure if that’s the stand or the charging brick I’ve plugged it into as, unfortunately, this stand does not come with an AC adapter in the box.
A bonus to the stand is the addition of the AirPods charger. I always charge them wirelessly and it’s nice to be able to charge both my headphones and my phone at the same time.
All in all, this is a nice little stand with the only minor downside that it doesn’t come with the charger. As long as you know that going in, you’ll be pleased.

The iOttie Velox Magsafe magnetic wireless charger is the perfect nightstand companion for anyone who wants to declutter their space. You can ditch your iPhone and AirPods cables for one that is far more elegant and charges both simultaneously. The 7.5W magnetic stand and 5W charging pad are plenty to charge your devices overnight or give them a quick boost if you’re on the go. The charging pad is soft, so it won’t scratch your AirPods case or that of any other Qi enabled device you might have on there. The raised edges of the charging pad are nice for AirPods users specifically as they’re the perfect fit for an AirPods Pro case. Of course the magnetic charging stand is great too. As with any Magsafe charger, your phone will stick in the perfect spot for optimal charging (assuming you’re also using a Magsafe case).
The only gripe I have with this charging stand is that it does not come with a USB-C power brick. At this price point, it is competitive with others out there, but I would be willing to pay a little more to have a 20W brick included. You may already have one, in which case this point is mute. Otherwise, you can easily find 20W bricks at BestBuy or just about any other retailer. I would recommend this charging stand and plan to get another for my husband soon.

While I’ve had a phone capable of using this for a while now, this is the first time I have gotten one. I have read so many reviews of products that do not hold the phone up that I was hesitant to put any money down on one until seeing this.
The design of this one with the perfectly sized spot for my headphones just looks good to me.
Taking this out of the box was very simple, and it was well-packaged. There is no assembly and it is just a matter of finding the proper place to keep it, as it is not designed to be frequently moved. I placed it on my desk at work right in between my monitors. The height could be tricky if you keep your monitors low to the desk.
I used a desk charging station that has two USB-C ports on it and it seemed to work quite nicely. I have noticed that using a wireless charger will not charge nearly as quickly as a wired fast-charger, but it does charge.
I like the fact that it is positioned just right for viewing at my desk, whether in portrait or landscape mode. I also love the fact that I can be watching my phone, while it is charging, and it looks like it is floating.
ammcb –
Sleek and Multi Purpose Wireless Charger allows you to charge your phone and other wireless devices at one time. The stand allows your phone to remain in view which is nice if you use your phone as an alarm clock. You don’t have to get up to see your phone which typically would face the ceiling. Now your phone would face you and you can see it with ease while in bed. Also, it allows you use your phone while charging. So why only four stars? While this device is great, it’s not perfect. The cord coming from the charger has a USB C end. It does not come with a plug so you have to have a charging plug with a USB C outlet. I do not so I had to connect it to my computer to get it to work. The other thing I didn’t like is the magnet is weak. If your phone is in a case, the magnet may not be strong enough to secure the phone. You have to remove it from the case or use the bottom wireless charger defeating the purpose of the charger positioning the phone upright. Outside of these minor things, the charger works perfectly well.
BigA –
Overall the this is a very nice however there are a few improvements that could be made to make it a 5 star product.
First the things I like –
1. The design, the minimalist approach matched well in any environment
2. Fast charge – very fast charge for a magsafe
3. Charge area for airpods in the base
4. Weighted base – makes the overall feel very solid and does move every time you touch your phone.
5. Phone tilt with attached is great for facetime hands free call
Now for the things I don’t like
1. The Magnet strength – doesn’t seem to be as strong as other devices I have, I had no issues with just the phone however I have a very thin (albeit non magsafe case that’s worked with ever other magsafe device that I have) and it would not hold.
2. The base on formed to hold airpods, but nothing else. Bottom-line is if you have airpods it’s great if you have anything else it may of may not work
3. In following the apple philosophy it doesn’t come with a power brick – not a major problem just a bit of an inconvenience as it’s a USB C type connector. I have about a million USB A thanks to everything else but only a few USB Cs
All in all it’s a good charger – if you have a phone and airpods you’ll think it’s 5 stars if not, I might look for something else

So As apple and other providers, continue the shift away from wire based charging… getting the right wireless charger is going to be important for everyone. This iOttie, is good… but a few additional things and it will be really good.
So this is a Magnetic “mag-safe” charger. So for Apple products you would need one of the later generation phones to work with it. (iPhone 13/14). If you have a case, better check that case as well. My original case, would allow wireless charging, and would allow mag-ring as well… just was too thick to use this style of vertical. So I upgraded my case, to one with a dedicated mag ring and all is good.
Phone stops on to the base, and starts charging immediately. You can feel the vibration, and see the indicator. I haven’t really timed the charge, but it is pretty quick. I have this right on my work desk, in a short while I am back to 100% (provided the phone isn’t throttling the charge).
One thing I would have liked to see, is an option to adjust the tilt of the device. just a little bit, like between 5-10% degrees would have been grate.
The base charges your AirPods… very simple, drop them into the recessed area, and they charge. works out fine.
So where I would have liked to see improvements.
– This does NOT come with an adapter, you need to provide one that has enough wattage to charge your devices. This was seriously disappointing, as this IS A CHARGING base. it should have come with the wall adapter.
– This does not support your Apple Watch. Yes, I knew that when getting that, but adding that support to a future model, as so many other similar devices have.. would make this a more complete charging base.

I was excited to try this cordless charger for my phone at my desk. I work remotely and spend tons of time in front of the two monitors on my desk and having my phone visible without picking it up, while also charging it!, sounded like a good plan.
At first, I thought the brand name case I had on my phone was appropriate, but unfortunately, it did not work! Phone would not attach to the elevated charger. I had bought the case with the MagSafe in mind a year ago, but must have ended up buying one that was not MagSafe. so, off to BestBuy for a different case! After obtaining another case, I was able to ‘stick’ my phone on the magnet which put it in view (should it make noises or vibrate) without my having to pick it up. Best of all, it was effortlessly charging the phone without my having to 1.Search for the phone under piles of files and 2. find a charging cord, and 3. insert said cord into the base of the phone. Added bonus is a flat charging surface on the iOttie which can charge your earphones or another phone!
So, make sure your case is approved MagSafe!

If you have an I phone and air pods it will bring you down to one cord which is nice. Hanging the phone in the air works well if you do not have a case in or have a magnetic compatible case. In a pinch if you get it in the perfect spot you can charge a phone on the bottom. It is functional, just not very exciting. Magnetic charging is pretty main stream these days. It is more compact then many other dual function chargers that I have seen. You can not charge the watch in the air pod spot. For me personally I don’t charge the air pods often enough for me to find this terribly useful. Dangling the phone in the air seems unnecessary specially when I use the secondary feature so rarely. It does not shrink down at all so packing it is not convenient and I would be afraid to break it. It isn’t flimsy, but let us face that our bags are not handled carefully sometimes even by us trying to squish everything into the car. Not bad if it is just going to sit there and you use both products often enough to charge regularly.
Marine778 –
The iottie Velox magsafe dual charger is one of many like it on the market. those things on the market. There are many brands making a similar product and at variety of price points. You might even see some options at the check stand at your local retailer. But not all chargers are created equal. Often times you get what you pay for and you can feel the difference in quality.
So in saying all that, I’ll start by saying I already have a product like this from a well known brand. The dual charger I have charges both your phone and an Apple Watch. The iottie charges your iPhone and your AirPods.
Both are great. But what I like about the iOttie is the MagSafe function coupled with the way it looks and its reliability. If you don’t know what MagSafe is by now, it’s basically the ability to magnetically connect things to the back of select iPhones if you utilize the right case on your phone. This allows for you to literally connect your phone to the top circular charger on the Ottie. Similarly, if you have a MagSafe capable set of AirPods, you can place them in the lower charger (one that looks like a small tray).
Why do I say reliable? Because you feel the phone and AirPods snap into place when you put them on the charger. In comparison to the other one I have, the iPhone rests against the charging plate and if it’s off center it won’t charge. So if you don’t notice it, you may have placed it wrong and your phone is not charging. Which is obviously frustrating. No issue with this charger.
Finally the look. The heavy base if for form and function. But does well both ways. And I really like the look of the metal arm holding the iPhone charger portion. They could have easily went cheaper and made it plastic, and it would probably be almost as nice. But the chromed metal just looks and feels more substantial.
As far as charging? Well that is something that really matters here. To be honest it no different than any other magnetic charger I’ve used. Takes the same amount of time to charge. So this aspect of it is sort of a wash. The top plate is 7.5W and the AirPods plate is 5W. I can’t tell a difference compared to other charging plates, but I know it works well and is reliable.
All in all, I’d definitely recommend it to anyone that needs a dual charger for iPhone and AirPods. It won’t charge an Apple Watch, I’ve tried it. But if you use both those devices constantly and want a single station to charge them on, this is a great option for you and I’d recommend it.
