    The cord works and easy to install.

    I’m not sure why this is not attached to the system and require separate purchase. It’s such a hassle. But unfortunately its a required hassle.

    It came as a separate item with our purchase but it didn’t take long (about 2 weeks or so). We just had to wait for it in order to install the garbage disposal but it was really not a big deal. Definitely worth the wait because we are really happy with this specific InSinkerator.

    Easy install. Sturdy feel. Hooked it up myself in seconds, minutes. I was going to pirate old cord off old Disposal to attach to new Disposal– but… figured old one was eight, maybe 10 years old. So for the LOW PRICE, why not install a new cord and be able to sleep at night.

    My Insinkerator Evolution 1hp Garbage Disposal needed this cord to be attached to the bottom of the disposal before installation. I also bought an Insinkerator deck mounted air switch, which is easier for me to use rather than reaching across the counter to flip a switch on the wall. The power cord plugs into the box for the air switch, and the air switch plugs into the 110v outlet under the sink. It is necessary to power the disposal and works as intended. You don’t need to install an air switch, but you do need to be connected to a power source.

    This cord is essential for the Badger and seems to be good quality. It probably should come with the product. Luckily the package from BestBuy does come with it!
