Buttons are small and hard to read, but at least it works, unlike the previous Insignia radio we had that became very temperamental as it aged.
Review –
Sound quality only average. Stations often go off the air.
reddog –
Very nice and compact-sleek design with very good sound!!

It was a gift for my grandma , she like it so much !
Theo –
It’s a radio – memba those? It’s decent but not 50 characters decent
Patjar –

Love this radio, easy to program and very easy listening..would recommend
Bccu –
The sound and quality is good. Which is had a clock on it.
SallyB –
Compact and easy to find channels. I like the size

I was looking for a reasonably priced HD radio to listen to a few HD stations in my area. The sound is great! The radio is very selective, not so much with sensitivity. The radio locks onto HD stations, and standard RDS channels quickly. The sound is crisp, realistic. It is worth it!

Poor service. Ordered due to claim of HD Radio. Have not been able to get an HD channel.
Airwolf –
This is a great gift for your parents and he has a HD radio and I had a great sound compact lightweight
RichardK –
I use this radio in my shop to pick up a a particular HD station it has flawlessly.
I do recommend this radio.

This radio is the third of this design I have purchased, and I have been pleased with all three. It has an provision for an external antenna, and this makes it more reliable for use in my car. The AC adapter provides 5V DC, and I hope to experiment with using a usb power supply to avoid using batteries.

I wanted a small radio for my bathroom and found this one. It is a great size for what I was looking for. The sound is very clear and suits my need.

I thought I’d be returning this. How good could the quality of this small a radio be? Well, besides the decent sound, there was no staion drift. So, its a keeper!

It has a good tone. Tuning is easy enough. It might have been better for some of the buttons to be slightly different to be able to differentiate between the different functions (tuning, preset, volume, etc.), all of which are on top of the radio. My only real complaint is that when I use it with rechargeable batteries, they only last for maybe 10 hours before needing to be recharged, so I have to change batteries at least once a week. That contrasts with other smaller, cheaper handheld radios that would last for weeks or months between battery changes. The display has a flashing battery icon to let you know the battery is low, and that icon flashes soon after I put new ones in. it works great with the AC adapter. I bought it to be able to carry around the house especially to listen to one of the HD stations in our area.
Note that this radio only receives FM and FM-HD stations and not AM. I haven’t listened to any AM stations in our area recently anyway, but that might be important for some people to know.

This HD radio is the best product I ever purchased. It came with all the accessories as advertised, and it works as intended.

Don’t need a lot of space, has good speakers and eaxy to operate!
Dishwasher –
Good resonance and clarity. The controls on top are hard to see and at times you can accidentally hit the wrong button.

Channel reception will depend on location, and distance from broadcasters, so for some folks in suburbs the number of HD channels available will seem quite low. But regular FM still works well, the speaker is nice and loud, and HD channels, when available, are a great additional feature. Moving the radio to an outside corner of my home and next to a window helped a bit with the reception.
Minbraz –
Excellent choice for me due to it being small and light.
RonnieO –
Prefect size , nice volume, easy carry around in purse
SoniaB –
This little radio is a perfect size, fits almost anywhere and the sound is amazing for it’s size.

I bought this radio to use in the garage while working and/or washing my vehicles. It easily picks up my local FM/HD stations and it has good sound quality for a small tabletop radio. The radio is small and portable and can be used virtually anywhere. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality FM/HD radio.
Insignia –
Great radio in a compact design. Very portable and easy to move around. Nice features too.
pbm210 –
It’s not fair for me to review the radio because I bought the wrong one . I wanted one with AM reception. I’ll be returning it next week.

WORKS WELL IN A VERY GOOD TOWN / VALLEY IF YOU HAVE A GOOD ENOUGH TOWER NEAR WHERE YOU LIVE….SAY LIKE, IN A BLOCK OR IF YOU LIVE NEAR A RADIO TOWER, YOU CAN PICK UP HD STATIONS,
BUT IF YOU’RE WAY OUT IN THE BOONIES/ STICKS…. GOOD LUCK TRYING TO PICK UP ANYTHING!!! HAHAAHAHAHAH
OTHERWISE….
NOT A VERY GOOD SIGNAL!!!

This radio works much better than the previous model. I especially like the wire antenna and the antenna Jack feature.
FMHDradioListenup –
Compact, elegant design; excellent clarity of reception when strong enough to receive; however, for me, the main reason purchased this item was to enable reception of certain station &, at present, strength of reception still inadequate. Therefore, am now looking into purchase of additional antenna to enhance receptive capacity. Still, this is a fine product.
Sims –
I have this a 5 star because I honestly don’t know how well it works. I ended up not needing it
HollyJ –
Nice unit it tunes in WTMD my favorite station well
Shugga –
A fantastic buy for me it provides music long after my device runs out.
Sheila –
Exceptionally poor reception and minimal stations received despite numerous in the region/area
LarryP –
The radio would not pull in WSVH HD stations even though it was being used in the local area, with antenna fully extended, and with no hills (flat terrain) to interfere with the signal. The radio was returned.
Nicholas –
It’s not a bad product and sounf quality was good. My issue is the speakers were to quiet for my local drive in theater. I’ll be returning it tomorrow and ordering something more powerful.
Chathambonnie1 –
Outstanding sound. Simple, handy way to enjoy the live music I enjoy on the radio.
StaciK –
Great digital radio. Works well and am enjoying the music.
GeorgeB –
I added a thick tape to the buttons must lightly to be used at night. It is a braille radio!
Nosferatu –
battery compartment with deficiency. I threw the radio away.
PhilaMike81 –
Quality of the sound is decent, no matter what you’re listening to. Portable for any table top, it has plenty of presets, and it comes with an external antenna which definitely helps pull in more distance stations. I like the read out on the display. It’s bright enough and simple to see. Definitely a great price for the radio and especially with it having battery operability. So if we lose power, I can still listen to the news.
ForcedNickname –
Purchased to use at the drive-in movies since they broadcast the movies over FM frequency and I don’t want to sit inside the car to watch (or drain my car’s battery)
The sound is impressive for its size, more than adequate for my use case, I can clearly hear all dialog
Fembot –
Needed something battery powered for the drive in movies. It doesn’t get too loud, we had to be quiet when used outside, it worked well the first time, and now I don’t know why but sometimes it turns on, sometimes it doesn’t. Maybe we need to change the batteries, or maybe its just touchy now. But it was very hard to find a battery powered one same-day.
f5yci –
Lousy Volume, must double click on most buttons for a response.. Unit very slow to Respond.. Wish I did not buy.. At least I did not spend a Hundred..
jdcboston –
I returned the radio as I couldn’t get reception my bathroom which is why I bought it.
Best –
Good signal reception, but it could have been better with am tuning as well.
JanieE –
For those of you who love Ham Radios, you’ll love this one. Small but powerful. It works great.
