    Connected the coaxial output of a LED TV to a Bose 901 equalizer. Audio is extremely clear and there’s no static or any sort of humming noise.

    wont last long just purchased the 4th one in less than 15 months Company will not reply to my request for warranty and BB says not their problem even through I’ve bought them all from them and paid Geek guys twice to trouble shoot and both times it was this.

    This converter is perfect for connecting old audio systems to newer devices. My old Bose entertainment system has an optical input, but would not connect to my TV. I had to use analog cables to use the system. This device was perfect and easy to setup and connect to my TV!

    If you have older equipment and you’re trying to convert coaxial analog input into newer optical audio, then this will do the job. There is a loss of quality but that’s expected.

    I thought I needed this inverter to work with a headset, I had purchased a insignia tv(Insignia™ – 32″ Class F20 Series LED HD Smart Fire TV) an the new headset didn’t work in the peg holes on the back. So brought tv an new headset in an they worked with that converter but when I brought everything home it didn’t work so I saw the dish box for the TV an I plugged the headset into that an everything works. It was a headset Sennheiser – RS 2000 Digital Wireless Headphone for TV Listening

    My review of this item, is that it is a small giant in the Digital Converter domain ,Because, it is a good value for those that are not knowable about stremeing & Digital Converters.

    This item we purchased did not come with a optical digital audio cable. After looking online for this same type to Coverter box, all other companies included the optical digital audio cable as part of the package. That cable costs as much as the converter package through BestBuy. The BestBuy customer service person we orignally talked with did not tell us that the cable was not included or probably didn’t know that to begin with. The converter works fine once we got everything necessary to get it hooked to our Bose unit and TV.

    Product does exactly what it says it will do. I would give it 5 stars except you have to make a settings change for it to work but that’s not too difficult.

    I bought this item in preparation for karaoke on Christmas Eve. The sound from the TV never came through using this device. I purchased an open box item but it looked to be in perfect working condition. I’m not sure if I had a defective item or not but it did not work.

    Very quick, very easy. Set up of my old system, disconnected the digital equipment and turned it on in 20 minutes. I used the optic cable running from my TV to the surround sound receiver (that’s going out. That’s why I decided to resurrect my old system). Unplugged at the SS and plugged it into the converter box optical input. Plugged the converter into my old amp with the supplied cable and BOOM! I have full, rich old school sound! MUCH cheaper than replacing the SS receiver and with better sound and control to boot. Audio is sync’d to the video perfectly without any delays. One day down, hoping it lasts a long time.

    This unit is exactly what I was looking for! I have an older Yamaha receiver, and a new Sony smart tv, so I needed to convert from optical to analog in order to enjoy hearing streaming music and music videos. When you plug this unit in, it stays on all the time, so I used my switched outlet on my Yamaha so it turns off with the power.
