I was disappointed that this device was unable to deliver the quality of the display that the iMac screen was displaying. It is my understanding that this is more the fault of the iMac and not this device. The display I attached this to is an Insignia monitor. You may have better results. Do not misunderstand, the picture was good just not as good as the iMac display.

Works great on my Mac Pro 2013. The HDMI slot on the Mac Pro isn’t that good so using this in a thunderbolt 2 slot is a lifesaver!

Got a HP m27f monitor and wanted to connect it with my Macbook Air 2017. The usb 3.0 to hdmi adapter didnt work on it but this thunderbolt one worked. I think if you have older generation macbook air (literally any macbook air that dont use usb-c) and want to connect it with a monitor. Get this one. It works great.

great product at a great price. The Apple Store sells this for $40+/-. I purchased belkin & J5 docks that didn’t work with my macbook pro 10.15.7. All I needed was to run 2 extra monitors . I spent hundreds of $s, and was able to return them all for this $30 total.
