    This helps me back up my files into anothed m.2 ssd.

    I also use this as cloning device. You just need to use a software that can clone and it will easily detect this device with your m.2 inside it.

    The plastic part to hold the ssd down was awful it wouldnt fit any ssd but didnt matter much because it broke after 3 uses. It got really warm whenever in use but other than that it worked just fine for a few months. After that it failed and refused to be recognized by any device. I would absolutely not reccomend

    As fast as advertised. Makes upgrading SSD very easy. I used this reader and Macrium Reflect to image copy my old SSD to the new one.

    First of all I had my doubts. We were having an issue with a different encloser that wasn’t allowing us to get to drive via WD Dashboard software to update the firmware on the drive. Also, it was causing the pc to crash sometimes when searching the drive. Anyway. Got this encloser and we were able to access the drive via the software and did the firmware update. Pure Plug-N-Play. No, more crashing. 31.78°C (89.2°F) on the read and 32.17°C (89.9°F) on the write of a 3GB file. It’s idle around 31.11°C (88°F). At 70°F ambient.

    I bought the NS-PCNVMEHDE-C around black friday. Though the box says that is is USB 3.2 Gen 2 compatible, the only thing USB 3 is the connector. On Windows and Linux it connects as USB 2.1. I tried multiple USBC-USB3A adapters on my windows PC, and direct USBC connection on my linux PC. The only good thing about this is because the access speed is slow, you do not have to worry about overheating your nvme drive, otherwise steer clear of this product if you expect 3.0+ speeds

    I purchased this for my 980 pro. It’s very finicky and not well built. I didn’t use this, ended up going to micro center and getting one of theirs and it was way better than this.

    I used this to retrieve the data from ONE of my M.2 drives (M Key) but not my other B&M key.

    It wasn’t a big deal for me, because the data on that drive was much older and redundant but it would have been nice to be able to turn that other drive into a 128 GB thumbdrive with this.

    Bought an NVMe for my new laptop since website stated it could use one. Wanted to upgrade from 64G. But the socket for this is not mounted in only the model I got. I bought this enclosure to use the NVMe with the laptop, and it works very good.

    Simple toolless enclosure for m.2 SSDs. It worked flawlessly cloning a Dell Latitude 7340. Samsung Data Migration program recognized the new drive connected through a USB C port.

    There is no screw for the m2 ssd, but instead some kind of weird plastic twist knob that broke after 3 attempts. It still does the job however, so I don’t really mind the broken plastic “screw”.

    Got this to hot swap some old/extra NVMe SSDs I have from old PC’s to be able to reformat them easily and reuse as transportable and/or backup device. Easy to install, use, seems good quality. Very handy.

    It is a ssd enclosure and it works but the problem with it is there is no software that comes with it so you have to buy something and the other issues are when I enter a wd 850x into the enclosure to clone it I can’t use the wd software that’s free with the wd ssd because the enclosure tells the cpu that the wd ssd is a Best Buy device instead of a wd ssd don’t waste your money get your a external ssd with free software included I spent 6 hours trying to clone using the enclosure and it failed so I bought a scandisk external ssd and it has free software and it cloned my system in 15min

    Put my old SSD in it and it works perfectly; it acts as a external SSD which is what it’s intended to be used for and acts as if it was internall installed. I use it for all my side games so yeah definitely a good purchase if you don’t have any space inside your computer and if you have a extra SSD.

    My computer recognized it so I could theoretically St use it for something. However I have no way to secure the drive in the enclosure itself without using additional hardware or adhesive. Hopefully i didn’t damage the drive when I attempted to gently go without… that will be on me if I did. I’m giving it the single star because the primary reason I purchased it to begin with mase it irrelevant. Being a tooless enclosure.

    The furst tilme thlat i used thr enclosure, the plastic piece that holds the hard drive down and prevents it from being flopping and all over the place broke off. Now, if i want to use it, drive isnott secured and actually has to rest against the top of he enclosure. That willl damage the drive or the encloure or both. Not worth it pay 0a few bucks more and get a quality part.

    I really like how they include some thermal tape in the box so it doesn’t overheat. Works well and provides good speeds.

    Great NVME storage option to see what is on past drives without having to have a computer to tear down just to rip the drive open. Also great to make your own hot swappable drive.

    A 2280 SSD – for which this is designed – can’t be fastened at the end because the hole for the fastener overlaps the notch in the SSD. As a result, the SSD sticks up at an unsafe angle and will flop around inside the enclosure and potentially disconnect while in use.

    It works as advertised but please note that if your m.2 has a heat sync, it’s not going to fit in the case. You can still plug it into the usb end and use it, but you won’t be able to slide the case around it.

    Works with my old Windows 10, laptop but not at all with my new HP ENVY X360, Windows 11 laptop. Worthless to me. I have ordered a replacement elsewhere.
