We have only had this installed for less than a month. It was very easy to install, and seems to be working perfectly. I like the dual doors which works for our location. I read some reviews that talked about problems getting it set up, etc. and we have had zero issues with it. Very pleased with this purchase at this time.
LPav –
Stopped working within 2 years of purchasing. took it to Best Buy for repair, as recommended by manufacturer, and after a couple weeks they said parts not available come and take it back.
DamonB –
Junk. Bought in June 22 for a new kitchen. Installed Feb 23 and died in Oct after the warranty was up. No one will work on it and Best Buy won’t even repair it so don’t waste your time or money.
ChocolateChipJones –
It looks classy with the double doors and functions as intended. No issues at all with this product so far. I love it.
BrandonS –
Fit perfectly. Runs quiet keeps beer at 34° and wine chilled to perfection.
KayH –
Great addition to our kitchen space. Holds plenty of beverages. And it looks great!
JohnJ –
Great fridge, I had a different make and it only lasted lest than 5yr. Also was not very cold.
This new fridge is very cold and does not come on and off very often
GOKO –
Fifteen months after buying this, it stopped cooling. We hired an appliance repair man to work on it. He determined that the PC board is the problem. Unfortunately, he cannot find a replacement board, so now we get to pay $35 to leave the fridge at the dump, in addition to wasting the initial $700. Ultra poor quality. If you feel you need to buy this, you better get an extended warranty.
ChrisO –
Loved this fridge. Capacity was great. Fit well in the space. But 372 days after it was purchased (mind it was a gift so we’ve only used it for about 11.5 months) it no longer works. It powers on. The fan runs. But it doesn’t cook at all. And can’t do anything about it because we are 7 days over warranty. I would think twice before spending $700+ to have something break not even a year using it.
AnthonyF –
Looks great, but it only lasted a year before it stopped cooling. If you get one, buy the extended warranty to mitigate against a possible headache.
Blitzman –
everything is as advertised, love the flexible shelving and the dual zones

Our original Insignia 165 can beverage cooler didn’t make it past one year and Best Buy didn’t have any in stock anywhere so we went with the next closest thing, the Dual Zone Wine and Beverage Cooler. The magnetic doors work much better on this product than the 165-can beverage cooler so that when the kids close the doors they actually stay shut. I wish that I could get additional metal shelves for beverages as we don’t drink wine, but those have been impossible to order by themselves. The unit is quiet (that was the big issue of the first one is that i was loud at times…sounded like we were being pulled up a rollercoaster). It looks good as well.

It worked great foe the first few months then suddenly stopped cooling. Sent it in and it is not repairable, fortunately it went out right before the year warranty and rhey have given us our moneh back. Although, I loved how it looks I would not purchase the same one..now looking to see what are my better options in a wine fridge.
JimS –
Cooling failed after 18 months and compressor isn’t serviceable, so another piece of junk heading to the landfill.
PhilipB –
Packaged very well and only assembly was to attach the door handles which took minutes. No noticeable fan noise and it appears to keep the temperature zones constant. Door locks will not prevent any serious attempt to breach them.
Only serious complaint, and this is pretty serious, is how the shelves are laid out. If you have any slightly oversized wine bottles they will not fit unless you start removing shelves or cram them in there. Wire shelves will not hold beer bottles standing up unless you only use 1 wire shelf. Essentially this is good for cans only. Wine does not display nicely because of how you need to stack it so LED lighting, though nice, only highlights the bottoms of your wine bottles through the glass. Pulling shelves out is difficult and due to the narrow gaps between shelves, you can’t read your bottle labels. You have to pull shelves out individually, but you can’t pull them out enough to easily see the labels. So you have to (struggle) to get the bottles out. In most cases, you have to pull out the shelf, then slide the bottle in so it completely clears the shelf edge, then slide the shelf back in. Basically, they designed this to cram as many bottles in there as possible. So if your goal is to maximize space, this is a great choice. If your goal is accessibility, viewing, and identification, this is a bad choice.
The design is nice, but having to look at the bottoms of wine bottles through the glass seriously detracts from the glamor.

This wine cooler is not only elegant, but also has an excellent quality finish. The size is just big enough to hold your wine and any other beverages and small enough to be set up anywhere you need it to be!
Very happy with it.
AndrewC –
really great looking works well easy to put together
BrianF –
Perfect addition to a wet bar and having the ability to hold beer and wine with dual temperatures and adjustable racks.
DanielleD –
I wanted a beverage cooler that I could actually pick up in-person and Best Buy had them in stock. The customer service rep was helpful &informed me about future savings on the product. Then they helped us unpack it from the box to get it to fit in my car.
As for the product, it fit perfectly in my space and has given me zero issues. I’m extremely pleased at how quiet it is. So far, great purchase all around.
JohnC –
Complete junk! The first one quit after 9 months. It was replaced and like many of the other reviews, this one quit cooling just over one year after delivery and I was basically told to pound sand. Infuriating! It never occurred to me to buy an extended warranty. I have a crummy little fridge I bought for my kid in college 18 years ago that works fine. Buyer beware AND buy an extended warranty.
Tyler –
Holds plenty of drinks, keeps them nice and cold! Can adjust both sides!
Christie –
This is a great addition that isnt only stylish but also functional with a great amount of storage. The removable shelfs are great! Highly recommend.
LisaT –
This has been an awesome update to our bar. Love the two sides. Wine on one and other beverages and mixers on the other. Lots of flexibility in use.
JohnJ –
Looks great. Fit our space perfectly. Looks great and chills nicely on both separate zones respectfully
David –
We’ve had it for 15 months to the day and it’s working just fine. Seems to hold the temperature settings we have to each side. Give us more room in our fridge.
It came damaged with doors and handles offset due to manufacturing defect but Best Buy gave a small refund to make up for it.
ScottS –
Sleek design, great for red and white wine. Looks expensive.
StephanieB –
I’ve only had my dual wine and drink cooler for a couple of months, and very satisfied. Its quite and cool everything properly. I would definitely recommend this item.
BrianW –
Quit working in 14 months. Does not cool any longer and only comes with a 1 year warranty.
GilM –
Cooler adds a great look to my new kitchen, the light option is great, and looks and cools excellently.
JaredTheGeek –
Has this for a while now. It keeps drinks nice and cold. The difference in temperature on each side is nice. You can have beer and soda on one side and wine on the other. The doors seal very well.
aznbadger –
Died after 14 months like many other buyers and reviewers here. Thought it was a good deal. Too bad the quality is too poor. Clearly their product is flawed. Avoid!
HappyCustomer –
Best beverage and wine cooler with dual zone climate control. Good quality. Sturdy Stainless steel material. Easy to set up. Prompt and professional delivery.
SusanD –
excellent product, although it was slightly damaged. We were able to fix the bent pieces, though this should not occur.
LeoAg –
I founded What I was looking for.. has separate tempeture for sodas and wine
Perfect
Blizzard –
The beverages doesn’t get ice cold. The doors did not close correctly. I had to find a washer that wasn’t included so that the doors would close properly.
DavidV –
I love this mini fridge. It fits perfectly with my space. I wish I had more of the metal shelves though.
Kevin –
This cooler is excellent. This is meant to be installed with cabinetry and a countertop above it. I’m not having any issues with noise. I could see why some people would complain about the noise only if they are using this “uninstalled” because the back is open.
Gene –
Works well as advertised. Having the two sides, at different temps is awesome. Large capacity as well.
CofC03 –
The people who say this wine fridge is quiet must have their hearing aids turned off. Also the shelves are a very tight fit for many bottles of wine. But its privably worth the price given how much cheaper it is than the competition.
Hmoon –
Very nice cooler. Looks is good capacity is good. Quality wise so far so good
RGMI –
it looks great, dual zone is awesome, and it’s quiet. But at 12 months and 3 weeks it stopped cooling. It powered on but did not cool.
If I hadn’t paid $120 for the GEEK SQUAD service plan, I would’ve had to pay for the repair out of pocket. But the GS service terms are very disappointing. I hauled the unit back to Best Buy , they sent it out for repairs and 3 weeks later the answer came back that the repair company didn’t have the parts to fix it. So I don’t know if it was a minor or major repair (such as a compressor) or the repair company that BB uses simply didn’t want to deal with it. No details were given to BB. According to the GS terms, my options were: 1.) receive a BB Store Credit for the original purchase price; or 2.) use that BB store credit to purchase a new unit at the current price. After discussing my irritation with the GS manager that I paid with a VISA and didn’t want a store credit since I rarely shop at BB, I opted to pay the difference in price and get a new unit. The Geek Squad terms state that a repair or replacement can be used only once during the 4 year term of the agreement. I now have a new unit and no extended warranty. I don’t know which is worse: the Insignia cooler that lasted only 13 months or the Geek Squad extended warranty terms.
ScottS –
I purchased this unit and it broke 6 months after I had it. Best Buy gave me a new unit and then it breaks again 15 months later! 3 months past the warranty. Same problem each time, it just stopped getting cool. Horrible quality product.
MeganS –
This wine cooler is great, I did have to stager the shelves to fit larger French bottles but the dual temps is great to have. Would recommend for anyone who wants to start collecting. I haven’t has any issues with the temp or noise so far but it has been 6 months only
SteveN –
Looked great and worked for a little over a year and then stopped cooling effectively. Best Buy informed us the warranty was only for one year. Tried to get it repaired but several companies said they could not fix or if they could it probably wouldn’t be cost effective. Will not buy our next fridge from Best Buy if they cannot stand by their product.
DanielG –
Lots of room for wine bottles and cans . Perfect size
Rnan –
We don’t have the product to provide the review!! Would give 0 rating if allowed. Sad that Best Buy has the worst delivery service… they canceled delivery first time without any notice. Waited all day and then found out on the app that delivery was cancelled. We rescheduled for a week later, the delivery person shows up at the door, asks us for a trolley that we don’t have and refuses to deliver – is that a delivery service responsibility or customer’s? After this it was rescheduled by a person that we contacted on phone for another date – 5 days later. Then same evening that delivery date is also cancelled!!! The 3rd time and now they can’t schedule for 2 more weeks.. why? Because the item is out of stock. What a ridiculous excuse.. it was on a truck until morning and now out of stock?? I had much higher expectations from Best Buy but looks like I need to start shopping from other stores!! Customer service is no longer a Best Buy priority!! Very very disappointed and frustrated.
ScottB –
So far working well. Was a little concerned based on various comments. Nice design and quiet. Allows for one side wine the other beers and soft drinks
user535968 –
We Love It! It would be perfect if about 1 inch wider in the interior so 3 bottles would fit easier and 1/4 inch more space between shelves as some wine bottles are thicker than others.
Buyer –
I purchased the Model NS-BC2ZSS8 model in 2018 and the unit is irreparable in 2024. A third party repair organization advised me that parts are not available, so the unit is a total loss after 5 years. My sister-in-law purchased the same model and it stopped working after 3 years with no ability to repair the unit. When I contacted Insignia, I was told that they do not provide in home service. If you wish for service, you will need to make an appointment with the Geek Squad and bring the unit to Best Buy. Even if you take it in for repairs, parts may be obsoleted. For the time the unit was working, it was a beautiful addition to my kitchen, however the reliability is very poor for about a $500 investment.

Dont have any complaints. I like that it locks so my toddler cant open it
