    Great purchase, this allowed me to use medium sized tvs with hdmi only for my monitors in my work from home setup for better convenience and lower cost than monitors.

    For those that dont know, display port cannot take hdmi even with an adaptor. The adaptor is if you want to send something from display port to hdmi but not the other way around. My monitor only had display port and it cannot take hdmi from my nintendo switch, ps4 and pc and tablet even with an adaptor. This surprsied me since everything usually worls woth adaptor but displayport can not take hdmi signals.

    I may be the only one who didn’t know this but it will NOT convert HDMI signal to DisplayPort. It actually said it on the box and i missed it. This is to plug in to your computer to use an HDMI if you only have a DisplayPort on the computer. Nothing wrong with the product but i figured I would write a review in case someone else was trying to do the same thing I was.

    Insignia Display Port to HDMI short adapters are a necessary
    cable for home users to make use of older video cards and monitors. I don’t like to throw earlier equipment purchased away if not necessary.

    Didn’t work for what I needed. It’s only one way. It can only take DisplayPort and convert it to HDMI, not the other way around. Make sure you know which way you need to go before buying.
