    I bought this turntable on an open box sale after being dissatisfied with a crosley voyager around the same price point. Its exactly what I needed to get into vinyl collecting without breaking the bank. The sound quality is great and the instructions were easy to understand. Also, being an open box sale, everything was there, wrapped in its original plastic. I’m very happy with this turntable.

    Clear instructions with easy setup. I haven’t used the Bluetooth, but the sound through the line out has been good. I have a slight crackle noticeable during quiet moments that I can’t seem to get rid of through weight adjustments, enabling anti skate, or cleaning. Still would recommend as I feel this is something I can figure out with time.

    Online recommendations pointed me to this turntable and I don’t regret it. I wanted something basic that wouldn’t “speed run wearing out your vinyl” but not to expensive. This turntable hits the key points I found:
    Replaceable cartridge
    Full platter
    Counter weight
    For any other novice’s out there this my not be true but I read playing your vinyl no more then twice per day is great for their longevity. It allows time for the viny to “bounce back to shape”.

    I HATE to give this only 2 stars, but almost immediately one of the hinges on the dust cover snapped in half. Two weeks later I can’t find a replacement hinge, Best Buy wants to replace the entire turntable (which is a total WASTE), and this is why selling disposable garbage drives up prices and fills up trash cans. It’s a really, REALLY, good mid-range turntable, especially for the price, but if I have to cover it up with a bath towel because they can’t send me a 20-cent HINGE for the dust cover………. that’s why it loses 3 stars. It’s a BEST BUY (INSIGNIA)-branded item. I’d expect to easily get a part for it (from BEST BUY). Silly me.

    I did serious research on record players and this one was by far one of the highly rated ones. Not only does it have Bluetooth capabilities, it connects to any a wide range of Bluetooth speakers. I would recommend as a really good starter record player.

    Love the idea of this bluetooth turntable to play vinyl records. Bought it for my wife so she can play the records from her childhood. The Insignia bluetooth turntable looks great and is very straight forward to “assemble” and use. I bought it from Best Buy and it was nicely priced. Unfortunately i rated it a 2 because the bluetooth connectivity that should also be straightforward….is not straightforward! It connected to our various speakers 1 time and hasnt connected since. We played music the first couple of weeks and for the last 10 months nothing. I need to switch it out just to see if its this unit or if its a universal issue

    I have had several turntables over the years and bought these for my daughters so they can start out with some.

    Pros :
    Inexpensive
    Bluetooth
    Decent Stylus
    Good Sound
    Counterweight / Anti-skate features (literally a necessity on any turnatable)

    Cons:
    Can’t remove the cartridge (so can’t install a higher end one) BUT the stylus is replaceable with better Audio Technica ones

    Has a cheap feel – frame and everything is plastic basically hence the price (not a deterrent to its performance though)

    Only used bluetooth connection so far but do notice a hum thru the speakers – its present when there is no music playing. It’s not overpowering like if you forget to connect a ground wire on a turntable that has one but it is there. Might be less thru the RCA jacks.

    When lowering the tonearm on a record, stylus shoots forward a lot but only at the beginning of an album. I know how to balance the tonearm and adjust antiskate but no adjustments seemed to fix it. If you lower the tone arm anywhere but the beginning, it does not skip. So if you start from the beginning, I suggest using your hand to put the needle on the record

    Not a fan of the platter not spinning until the tonearm is over the record. I like the platter spinning all the time but since it’s a belt turntable, probably best to cut down on belt wear

    All in all and great inexpensive turntable when on sale for $60

    No signal coming from phono or line out. Returned it. Man at the counter argued I hooked it up wrong. One red, one white, one switch, one power cord. Not rocket science!

    Never would I think there should be a buyer beware risk at Best Buy. This review is more about the low level of service I received from Best Buy rather than the product. The turntable arrived with a broken stylus so it doesn’t operate properly. (This was an open-box – excellent condition purchase, which is advertised as works as new) Everything else works perfectly fine from what I can tell. Since Best Buy sells an identical replacement part for $24, I thought it would be an easy issue to rectify, but I was clearly mistaken. Best Buy refuses to take care of the problem which would cost less than $24 and wants to replace the entire product which is currently unavailable and no firm date of a restock. From a Customer service standpoint the problem is an easy $24 fix which I would think is a smaller loss than returning the entire product which they would have to fix anyway with the same part plus the labor of the employees to process everything. I guess we all lose in this situation but you would think you wouldn’t want to lose another customer to Amazon over a matter of $24.

    Lack of automatic play feature makes it a little bit more difficult to use. But otherwise this record player represents good value for price. Components also feel very sturdy and well-made

    I purchased this as a gift. As a vintage audio equipment nerd, I have to admit I was skeptical, but it was Christmas and everything else around this price point had already sold out. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! It’s very manual and WILL require setup before use (unlike popular offerings from brands like Audio Technica in the price range), but the tradeoff is a turntable that is much more flexible and adjustable should you ever decide to upgrade components.

    This is my first record player and it is flawless. Thank you Best Buy! Ive played 100 records on it and it’s perfect. Wow. What a treat. Thank you INSIGNIA! I would recommend this turntable to anyone. One more thing. I also bought the Sony XP500 bluetooth speaker at Best Buy and it does connect via bluetooth and it’s great listening through it. Both good and wow.
