    It does what its supposed to but it feels like its cheaply made and there are some design issues. Removing the tank is difficult because it sticks and needs to be forced out. Once removed it doesnt stand up strait and will spill if not held. Putting the tank back in is also an issue and it has to be forced as well.

    That being said, it does do what it is supposed to do. So if you’re looking for a cheaper option, this is for you

    I was very skeptical about this, but decided to buy it anyway. It works surprisingly well. I had a pipe break behind the wall and the wall was soaked. The house smelled moldy and there were mushrooms growing on the wall. After a few days of using this dehumidifier the mushrooms are gone. The moldy smell is gone. And I can see on the wall where the water is drying. This is one of the best investments I have made, and I would definitely buy it again.

    This thing is a Tank and quiet. This has the option to fill in a bucket or hook-up a hose for output of moisture. It works and it works well!

    This is a good humidifier. It is pretty quiet and works well. I like being able to control it with an app.

    I needed a dehumidifier for my basement. This works well with little input from me. It has a comfort zone setting available so that I don’t have to fiddle with the individual controls, but for those who like that, you have those options. The bucket is easy to empty, with a nice handle that’s exposed then you pull out the bucket, but it can be heavy when it’s full. I haven’t tried attaching a hose to the drain yet, but plan to do so, and it’s great that I have that option.

    So far, so good. My luck with Dehumidifiers hasn’t been good. Seems they last only about 3 years.

    Overall very happy with this dehumidifier. It pulls the moisture out of the air… does its job well. The one thing that keeps it from 5 stars is the amount of heat it sends out. My friend has one that displaces cool air. This one displaces warm air.

    Works well for my 2000 sf basement. Controls are easy to use and hose connection allows draining to the sump pump. Basically, so far, it’s been set and forget.

    This dehumidifier was a warranty replacement for the one I bought last year and failed in less than a year. Hopefully this one is a redesign and so far has worked well during Spring, Summer and Fall.

    Purchased this unit in October of 2022, unit is now going full ice up and not removing moisture, Contacted support, they requested the requested our receipt just to confirm it’s 2 months past the 1 year warranty. As stated nothing else they can because it’s out of warranty. Guess no more insignia products in my house, only function until warranty expires.

    Bought this unit to dehumidify an unfinished basement. I have a hose hooked to it so that it constantly drains into a sump. Been running for a couple of weeks now with no issues, and it’s doing its job well.

    We needed a dehumidifier to control the humidity in our living room and kitchen. Both were sitting at 70-80% with outside being 90% and raining. Using a smaller unit from other retailers, they helped with smaller rooms but did nothing for the larger rooms. The biggest issue we had was the humidity causing mildew buildup on the walls and condensation on the windows. Using this unit, it managed to get out house, the entire 1300sq ft, down to 55%, at which point it beging to struggle a bit. No more window condensation unless we’re cooking and no more fresh mildew. I gave this about a month before reviewing just to see of we would have any issues snd so far we’ve had none. The first few days we had to empty the container 2 or 3 times. Now we’re down to once every 2 days and loving thst we don’t need to wipe down the walls and windows every 2 days. Absolutely a great value for the money.

    I purchased this humidifier because my basement began to create mildew buildup in the ceiling. I purchased this Insignia since it looked very similar to my father in-law’s. It works great! You can connect a hose in the back so it can drain directly into a sump pump or any other drain.
    Quiet too!

    This Dehumidifier works wonderfully! We absolutely love it! It lets you know when its full, and you can see through the clear part in the front when it’s almost full so if you’re going away for the weekend, you’ll know if you need to dump it before it even beeps at you! It also comes with a hose for auto drain but we haven’t hooked that up yet!
