I have two PC’s (one for work, one person) but only one monitor. For the longest time I used two keyboards and two mice. I decided enough of that and looked for a small USB hub that can switch between two sources.
So far this Hub has been wonderful with no issues whatsoever. The switch time is pretty quick and supports up to 4 shared devices. I have a keyboard, mouse and camera attached. It’s pretty small and is easily hidden.
There is one word of caution though. This does NOT come with a power cable. It DOES require power. And the power input is a USB-C connection! So you’ll need to connect a USB-C cable to some sort of external power source.
Other than that, this things great!

There is a USB C input on the host side, for powering the hub, but I haven’t seen the need to use it. I’ve been using this to power three QMK keyboards, and a mouse. There is a slight delay when switching between hosts, roughly 5 to 10 seconds between, but it is not a dealbreaker. No issues with this so far with my one month of usage.

Sometime has a power issue. I plugged in a keyboard, mouse, a webcam and a logitech soft glow light. Sometimes the light goes off or the camera shuts off, tried pugging in an additional power supply to the usb c, but didn’t help, so finally removed the light to my laptop usb port.

This switch is exactly what I needed! It allows me to plug in all my usb peripherals and switch effortlessly from my work macbook to my gaming PC. The switch button does stick or need to be pressed twice from time to time, but it’s so wonderful to be able to just press a button and switch from work to play without all the hassle of moving plugs around.

Very handy device, does exactly what it says it does. Very fast switch between two connected computers, and it’s simple to set up and get going. Only issue is that it has an (optional) power supply in and doesn’t come with a cable for that power. Not necessary if both computers it’s plugged into will always be on, or on at the same time. But if you want to only use one of the two computers occasionally, you’ll have to buy a power cable, which can be pretty expensive depending on how long you need it to be.

I have problems using this for audio or webcams though, I don’t think it passes enough data quick enough I was hoping it being USB 3 was going to keep up. Otherwise it functions as expected and is well built. Perfect for keyboard and mouse, amd even the occasional flash drive.
