    This docking station is completely unusable with my windows 11 hp envy 360 convertable laptop, either due to what could only be EITHER a copatibility issue with Windows OS OR with HP make/model. Using process of elimination, I determined the problem was NOT my Seagate 22 TB HDD, because I purchased a WD 4tb which displayed the same problem: both HDDs were not showing up in Windows Explorer as an openable drive, even though plates were rotating in both drives, disk indicater LEDs were on on docking station, both drives were displaying as connected in Settings app (with serial number of docking station) and in control pannel under the list of devices (with serial number of WD and Seagate respectively). Multiple calls to all 3 tiers of Geek Squad support were not able to resolve (or even gramatically comprrehend) the issue. That last remark is both a reflection on the uselessness of this drive and the lack of capabilities of Geek Squad. If Insignia Support could please identify and resolve the problem, I will be willing to repurchase this product. Thank you so much.

    I bought mine back in 2021 it was fine then and did what it was suppose to. I did not have third party software just M.S. disk management. I had 2 spindle total 1 and 3/4 TB’S that occupied the storage unit they were loud sitting next to you while working. I always thought that the power connector was a bit flimsy and sure enough it failed recently the connector is no longer working. When I replace it I will look for either a quieter unit or go with a solid state drive for quietness. Well off I go to check the warranty.

    This thing saved my butt! Had some very important files on a “refurbished” laptop that maybe wasn’t so refurbished after all. When the laptop wouldn’t boot, I removed the drive and popped it into this thing. Worked like a charm.

    I had a desktop computer where the graphics card died, and needed to recover the information to transfer to the new computer. This worked perfectly!! Just plug in and use as a regaular external drive. This was a life saver!

    After one of my desktops died I rushed out looking for sata readers in order to gather the data from hard drives. I used a 2.5ssd and a 3.5 hdd and both just plug and play without any issues. Was aboe to transfer a couole of 100 Gb without any setbacks. Really nice compact solution.

    This pr;duct does exactly what it was designed to do, I used it to save 2 hard drives that had stopped working and didn’t show up on my computer. I can now use them in this dock to save games and files and I also put one I had fixed in a computer and it is working fine

    It is very easy to use. Simply plug in the electric cord, plug it into your USB connection and insert the hard drive.

    Great products are used for saving and transferring data in your computer. if you worry about opening up your PC this is a product you may consider having. You also need another USB-to-USB cable. You can use both SSD and HDD on it.
