    I bought this convertible freezer to replace my fridge in my kitchen. It was seriously the best purchase, it’s a full fridge without the wasted space on the freezer, since I already have a full size freezer in my garage! Plus you can’t get a better price point!

    It’s convertible fridge to freezer vise versa. Worked out fine for spacious food storage for my family. I am very pleased that it’s also easy to move around.

    I have had two of these units for 5 months now. One of the units that i received when I first ordered them made a funny noise like a quieter version of our old compressor that went bad so I called Best Buy and even though it was a few days past the replacement warranty they still replaced it. I was very impressed with their service. All is well now and I love these units. And what a great price. I did extensive (hours and hours) research trying to find units that were less deep than the regular refrigerator depth and these had the best reviews. The other frigidaire and whirlpool models had terrible reviews for 5 times the cost! I only wish the door opening could be switched to the right side and I wish it had the option to add an ice maker. I would be willing to pay more for those options. That would make them perfect!

    I liked the first unit so well that I bought a second unit two weeks later. The value of the unit’s value vs. cost is unmatched ( I researched for nearly a year) with its convertibility and other tools found in the temperature and settings window on the door.

    Well-made, with excellent storage layout. We use as a freezer, and are very happy with the unit. The fact that it can be used as either a freezer or refrigerator is an added benefit.

    This fridge freezer combo has been a life saver for my family of five! We ordered two to use as freezers and decided we were going to order one more as a secondary fridge. There is more than enough room in these, the ability to switch the temps and control how they are used is an amazing feature. I have one freezer for all my meat and one for all my premade dinners and breakfasts. I am a home baker and refuse to buy anything from a grocery store premade and full of chemicals. These have made my life so much easier and allowed me to create the pantry of my dreams! I wouldn’t be shocked if we end up getting a 4th eventually down the line.

    This is a very nice freezer. It is only one of a very few that I have found in stainless. The freezer is located in the kitchen and matches well with the rest of the appliances. It keeps everything frozen and freezes water bottles very quickly.

    I’m of course very happy with my purchase this was my time buying a used appliance and when it got delivered there were a couple of dents that was not there upon purchase which made a person wonder if that was the one I bought so that’s where I’m at. But I’m still satisfied

    I love this unit. I use it as a fridge since I already have a chest freezer. It looks nice, feels nice and has F/C modes which my EU wife appreciates.
    With that said it does have its quarks, the handle will get loose every one in a while (had to break out the allen set twice in two years), the suction on the door is massive, which you’d think is a good thing but this unit is on wheels so if you don’t push against it while pulling on the door you’ll end up pulling it around your kitchen. This is something I’ve gotten use to and can manage without thinking about it, but it still trips up guests. And lastly the shelves appear to be not level, I haven’t taken out a level to verify but juice bottles will fit under the bottom shelf on the right side but not the left; solid 1/4″ difference in height.

    We were sick of searching through the abyss that was our chest freezer and the bottom drawer of our refrigerator. Do we have chicken breasts? Maybe. Will we recognize them as such? Maybe. Are they old enough to require carbon dating? Maybe.

    This thing is exactly what we hoped it would be. Bought some wire baskets to further organize, but we have plenty of space for everything that might possibly need to be frozen. We may buy another for refrigeration.

    Bought 2 for our garage. They have been great. One we use as an extra fridge and one as a freezer. Love that they can be set to whatever temp you need so they can function as a fridge or freezer.

    It was on the scratch and dent sale. A ding in the corner that doesn’t affect its function ( although not pointed out at the time. It had another blemish that was the issue). It works fine and freezes our food.

    Bought as a freezer. It NEVER cooled. Once the freezer was installed I loaded all the food from my chest freezer. I then went to the place we are moving from to finish getting it ready for market. I was gone 3 days. When I returned, ALL the food had thawed. I had to throw away a lot of meat, and vegetables.
    On top of that my new place has brand new carpeting. The freezer put a nasty spot on the carpet that I cannot get out. See photo.
    I returned the freezer, and did receive a credit for the freezer, nothing was done about the lost food!
    On top of all this, the gentleman picking up the freezer said, that a lot of these Insignia freezers have issues and are returned.

    Would have been 5 stars but the first refrigerator they delivered had non negotiable cosmetics damage and when i called to get it replaced (because it was dropped off as is) i had to go through a streneous automation call peocess before you can talk to a person. Also they wanted detailed information (model and serial number off fridge) which made it harder to get a replacement scheduled while travelling away on business. Didnt understand why they didnt have that information from my order? Anyway after working through all that they replaced the damaged refrigerator a couple days later and took the bad one away. It works great for my needs im happy with it
