    I bought this to maintain the charge in my tablet when I’m using it for GPS. It’s supposed to provide power to a phone or tablet (not a laptop, according to the manufacturer) from the power outlet in your car, and it does. I don’t need to stretch out the cable, so I don’t know whether tension in the coiled cable would cause problems to someone who needed more length.

    I mean…what can be said? It seems solid and well-made, and appears to charge quicker than my actual Samsung wall charger. Almost like whoever designed it was aware that people don’t necessarily live in cars. The only downside is the coiled cable, which adds a lot of weight without adding much length.

    The Insignia vehicle charger with coiled cable is handy to have, works well in cigarette charging spot of car. Cable does not detach so cannot be used as a cord by itself.
