This keyboard is so much better than the one that this replaced. I like how I can have various ways of using the lighting effects and the quietness of the keys strokes, my last keyboard was very loud. The only thing bad I noticed is that if you are not sitting upright it is hard to see the keys that have multy functions on them. My last keyboard had the functions on top of each other. Example the number 2 is beside the @ sign making them blend in together. Still all in all a good keyboard.

I bought this keyboard for my gaming setup and I have to say it’s amazing. The keys are responsive, the build quality is solid, and the RGB lighting is stunning. However, there is one thing you should know before you buy this keyboard: the RGB lighting is too powerful.
I don’t mean that it’s too bright or too flashy, I mean that it literally has the power to alter reality. Let me explain. One night, I was playing some Call of Duty with my friends online, and I decided to switch the RGB lighting to red, to match the blood of my enemies. As soon as I did that, I heard a loud explosion outside my window. I looked outside and saw a warzone. Tanks, helicopters, soldiers, everything. It was like I was in the game, but in real life.
I quickly switched the RGB lighting to blue, hoping to calm things down. It worked, but not in the way I expected. The warzone disappeared, but so did everything else. I was in a void, surrounded by nothing but blue light. I felt a chill in my bones and a sense of loneliness.
I panicked and switched the RGB lighting to green, hoping to find some life. It worked, but not in the way I expected. The void was replaced by a jungle, full of plants, animals, and insects. It was beautiful, but also dangerous. I heard a roar behind me and turned around to see a tiger, ready to pounce.
I ran back to my keyboard and switched the RGB lighting to rainbow, hoping to find some balance. It worked, but not in the way I expected. The jungle was replaced by a disco, full of people, music, and dancing. It was fun, but also overwhelming. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to see a clown, holding a balloon.
I screamed and switched the RGB lighting to off, hoping to find some peace. It worked, but not in the way I expected. The disco was replaced by my room, as it was before. Everything was normal, except for one thing. My keyboard was gone. In its place, there was a note that read:

So, yeah. Best keyboard ever, but beware of the RGB lighting. It might take you to places you never imagined. Or wanted.

Got a new high-end gaming rig, and wanted a nice RGB keyboard to complement it. Got the HyperX Alloy Core RGB keyboard. It has a number of colors, and RGB functionalities [breathing, zones, static, rainbow, etc.]. It’s pretty easy to cycle through options.
Only slightly odd thing about it that the symbols/numbers are arranged side-by-side [1!, 2@, 3#, …, ;:, ‘”, etc.], rather than top/bottom on the keys, which is a little odd to look at and know which to hit Shift for.
That aside, I like the tactile feel and the button travel, and the minimalist function buttons in the upper right [sound/media shortcuts].
Pairs will with the Razer Basilisk v3 mouse I also bought.
