  1. TechBuyer

The HyperVolt Heated Head is so simple, yet brilliant. It turns your HyperVolt into a heated massage by just replacing the head. You get all the percussion and capabilities of the HyperVolt with the soothing heat of heat.

Charging the Heated Head is simple with the included USB-A to USB-C cord. Mine came mostly charged already so it was ready to go in 15 mins or so. It seems like the battery has a good amount of charge to it, I used my HyperVolt (which also has excellent battery life) for about 5 minutes and did not see any indication of the battery running out.

I’m not sure if the power button on the Heated Head changes colors with battery level indicator like the HyperVolt Go’s ring does, but I kept the power on for an additional 15 minutes and it was still hot.

The heated head is simple to use, you hold the power button for 3-5s and it powers on with a green LED light. Then you quickly click the power button again to choose 1 of 3 heat settings, designated by the white LEDs. Very intuitive, quick and easy to use and cycle through.

In terms of temperatures, you can definitely feel the difference in temperatures cycling through and the highest setting, while hot, shouldn’t burn you even when holding it on your skin, although I don’t recommend that. Also, whether you are wearing clothing or not will impact how much heat is transferred to your skin.

Cleaning up the head is simple, just take a clean towel and wipe off the glossy head. Not sure why they went glossy this time maybe for better heat transfer?

My only minor complaint is that I preferred the fine tip point for hitting my trigger points and deep tissue massage and understandably, the heated head is the larger flat heat to get better heat transfer and also to house the heating unit and battery safely. Small nuance but worth noting.

Overall this is well priced and essential upgrade if you own a HyperVolt, I’m surprised they didn’t think of it sooner!

The Hypervolt has been a wonderful tool to work out tension, muscle knots and general aches and pains. This heated head takes it to another level.

The head comes with a USB-C charging cord and takes about 3.5 hours to fully charge. It will run about 90 minutes on a full charge, depending upon the heat level selected.

There are 3 heat levels to select from. After the head is charged, all you have to do is connect it to the Hypervolt as a normal attachment. Select the heat level by pushing the power/heat button until the desired level is selected.

With this head you cannot push too hard or it bounces around like a jack hammer. At first that disappointed me as I like a deep massage. With the heat you don’t need that kind of pressure to receive an intense massage. It also worked well on the back of my neck, specifically because it doesn’t go too deep.

The head will shut off after about 15 minutes of use. It works well on all areas. Less pressure over the bonier regions works best to minimize bouncing. My preference is to let it sit on an area for about 30 seconds to a minute and then move on to the next spot.

    Excellent massage head. Highly recommended.

Having owned a Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro for a couple of years now, I am a fan, it comes with lots of features and lots of attachments, so when I got to try out the new Hylerice Heated Head, I was excited, but skeptical at the same time.

I mean how good can an attachment that heats up be? Well im here to tell you that if you are thinking of buying this attachment and a reading my review, just buy it, It works really well. It adds a whole new dimension to the massages you get from your Hyperice products.

Operating it is really simple, just pop it in like you would with any other attachment, press the power button for half a second to turn it on, then press the same button to get three different levels of heat, that attachment fully heats up from cold to hottest setting in about 30 seconds, you will feel the warmth, and you never know you might even like it.

When the attachments battery starts getting low, all you have to do is charge it like you would any other product as it comes with anninternal battery, a USB-C cable comes included.

Massage guns have really been a great tech addition to keeping your body feeling loose and recovering after physical activity. The Hypervolt has been something I use on a daily basis so I was pretty interested in their new heated head attachment, and so far it does not disappoint!

    PROS:
    – The design and look is great! It has a flat, slightly curved head, with a power button and a charger input. There is literally no setup required besides maybe giving it a charge but mine was ready to go!
    – Use is simple; you hold the power button to turn on the heated head, and then you tap it to change the heat intensity from levels 1-3. I was really impressed with how quickly it heated up and level 3 definitely gets plenty hot! But I personally thought level 3 was the way to go.
    – I really see the benefit of using this heated head! It provides a wide surface area to really heat more of your body and it provides the same massage functionality you are used to with a nice heat that really helps loosen up those muscles and tight spots even more so than before!
    – It charges via USB-C which is fantastic since more and more products use USB-C for everything.
    – Hyperice says the battery lasts about 90 mins on level 3 and takes about 3.5 hours to charge from no battery to full battery but so far no battery concerns and the power levels are great!

    CONS:
    – Not necessarily a con but just a somewhat obvious note to make: I found the heated head works best when it’s directly on your skin as opposed to having a your shirt on. You can still feel the heat with your shirt on but its just not as noticeable.

    BOTTOM LINE:
    – If you are a frequent user of a Hypervolt massage gun, the heated head addition is a no brainer purchase. It’s easy to use, provides excellent heat, and just makes the massage more effective! It will be my go to Hypervolt head going forward!

I have used a hyperice device for several years. As a runner over 50 there a few more aches and pains that come from this. The hyperice device is amazing for loosening up the muscles in the legs and back.

I was interested in using the heated version of the hyperice attachment to see what kind of difference it makes in the message process. After using it, I think it is a great addition to the device.

It is pretty straight forward. You charge the device via the included cable. There is a light to let you know when it is charged. Once it is charged you press the power button and you can set the heat to one of three heat settings. The device warms up quickly and does get pretty warm on the highest setting.

The heat does make a difference. You will probably want to set the unit on a slower message setting to get the most from the heat. You will also probably spend a little more time messaging each area but the warmth does come through. The battery life is solid and will last quite a while between charges.

This is definitely a useful product if you have this percussion device. I would recommend it.

The Hyperice Hypervolt Heated Head is a game-changer for anyone seeking relief from tension, stress, or soreness in their head, neck, and facial muscles. As a long-time user of massage devices, I was intrigued by the promise of heated therapy, and this product exceeded my expectations.

The Hypervolt Heated Head boasts a sleek and ergonomic design that’s incredibly easy to handle and maneuver. It features a soft, silicone head attachment that’s gentle on the skin, making it suitable for various applications. The device is also impressively lightweight, making it comfortable to hold and operate even for extended periods.

The standout feature of this massage attachment is, of course, the heat therapy. With adjustable temperature settings ranging from 104°F to 107°F (40°C to 42°C), it provides a soothing and relaxing experience. The gentle warmth helps to relax tense muscles and enhance blood circulation, contributing to a sense of overall relaxation and well-being. The temperature can be customized to suit your preferences, ensuring that you get the ideal level of warmth for your needs.

The Hypervolt Heated Head is compatible with the Hyperice Hypervolt and Hypervolt Plus massage devices, which are known for their powerful and quiet operation. When combined with these devices, the heated attachment offers a comprehensive massage experience that targets not only the head and neck but also other areas of the body.

The performance of the Hypervolt Heated Head is impressive. The heated massage effectively eases tension and discomfort in the head and neck region, which is particularly beneficial for individuals who suffer from headaches, neck pain, or jaw tension. I found it to be a fantastic tool for relieving stress after a long day at work or for winding down before bedtime.

The battery life of the Hypervolt Heated Head is also noteworthy. It can deliver hours of use on a single charge, ensuring that it can be relied upon for extended massage sessions without the need for frequent recharging.

  7. Rick

The Hyperice Hypervolt Heated Head is a good add on to the already great Hypervolt line up. The heated head is not overpowering, you definitely feel it but no to the extent that it becomes uncomfortable. The three separate heat settings are a great added function and helps with the battery.

Charging time: At zero battery it took about 3 hours to fully charge via the USB cable (Included). But after thirty minutes you have enough charge to get some use.

Charge longevity: This will depend upon your use/ heat level setting. On full heat I was able to achieve 5 ten to twelve minute massages. I feel this is quite acceptable and adequate for the size. Choosing lower heating settings will add to the longevity between needed charges.

Compared to using the normal percussion massage heads, you definitely get a more relaxing approach and experience with the heated head attachment. If you find yourself with tight muscles and in need of an added boost or benefit to your hypervolt, the heated head attachment is worth your attention.

I already love my Hyperice Hypervolt 2 massage gun and thought that it could not get any better. So far I have purchased the official carrying case, as I love to accessorize. When I saw a heated attachment to my massage gun, I had to have it.
Upon removing it out of the package, I noticed that it had an extremely well built feel to it. It just feels like a nice quality product. I used the included USB type C charging cable and let it charge completely. Once it was done, I went ahead and inserted it into my Hypervolt 2 and held the on button. It is very easy to figure out, but a quick start guide is also included. You hold the power button for like 2 seconds, then press it again to adjust the heat levels. There are three total heat levels. I started it out with level one. It gets very warm at level one. I then selected level two and it got nice and hot. I then selected level three and it got very hot. I could not believe how hot this little attachment got. I was very impressed.
I then selected level two and used the first level of my percussion massager. I loved the way it felt on my back. I just ran it up and down my back and it felt amazing. I used it by my neck as well and it made me feel much relief of my tension. The massage attachment feels so nice, I want to remove it and just use it by itself!
Overall, I feel that if you own a Hyperice massager, this attachment is a must have. I have used this several times already and will continue to use it as much as I can. You will not regret it!

  9. WyldeBlue

This unique little heated head unit came out of nowhere to up the ante on an already high-quality percussion therapy gun. We’ve been using Hyperice’s Hypervolt 2 Pro Premium massager for about 2 years now…sure, there are cheaper alternatives out there, but the quality, power, speed, and stroke of the Hypervolt 2 Pro percussion gun simply outshine all the other budget offerings we took for a test drive. But if you have *any* of Hyperice’s percussion therapy guns already, you know that the included therapy heads are somewhat…limited…at least in terms of the number of heads you get in the box. This little accessory brings the total number of attachments for our Hypervolt 2 Pro up to six…but what an addition it is!

I was skeptical at first that this little device would make much of a difference, but just a few seconds even on the lowest heat setting was enough to elicit smiles and “oohs” and “ahhs” as I passed it over the surface of my aching shoulders and calves. Later, I ran it along my sister in-law’s back and neck and she immediately demanded to know the make and model of the massage gun and heated head because she wanted to get a set for her husband for his own PT and relaxation regimens…that’s a pretty resounding endorsement if you ask me!

Operation is dead simple. Charge the unit up with the included USB-A to USB-C cable and any errant 1A or higher USB charger you happen to have lying around. A full charge takes about 3 hours or so; when it’s done, just press the power button for more than 1/2 second and the LED battery level indicator lights up to let you know you’re in business. Slip the head into the percussion gun’s attachment collar like any of the other Hyperice attachments and then press the power button again quickly to cycle through one of three heat levels. The head heats up FAST, like within a few seconds…then start your percussion therapy and let the heat soak deep into the muscles and tissues that need the relief.

Note that you should exercise some restraint and common sense when using this device; it does have a heating element after all. Level 1 is rated at 114 degrees F, level 2 is 118 degrees, and Level 3 is 122 degrees. The highest heat setting does get more than a bit warm so it could potentially scald you if held flat against the skin for extended periods of time. However, once you fire up the massaging action of the percussion gun, the intensity of the heat tends to wane a bit and what you’re left with is just nice, soothing, deep-penetrating heat therapy to accompany all that tension-releasing and relaxation-inducing massage action–it’s definitely an indulgence worth paying for!

The ultra-fine print in the multi-lingual info booklet says that the battery should last for about 90 minutes of continuous use on a full charge; however, the head will shut itself off after about 15 minutes (so you need to remember to turn it back on if you have a marathon therapy session planned). The battery level LED will change its color from green to orange to red depending on the charge level, though I could not find where in the manual it was mentioned what those colors equated to in terms of actual percentage of charge remaining.

The manual also specifies that the battery isn’t supposed to be left charging overnight. Frustratingly, this flies in the face of most of the electronics charging habits we’ve developed over the years, so we’ll have to remember not to leave the battery on a charger unattended for very long. Finally, it seems odd that a battery-powered attachment made specifically for the Hypervolt line of massagers would use a different charging port/cable than the one you already have to haul out to charge the Hypervolt’s own battery. This means if you want to keep using the heated head attachment, you not only have to keep track of the main unit’s wall charger, but also a USB-C cable and another compatible charger or battery pack. It’s a small issue to be sure, especially as USB-C connectors and charging ports are becoming more commonplace, but only having to worry about one charger with a captive cable would have been a nice option.

In terms of design, the heated head’s surface area is sizeable relative to the coverage provided by the Hypervolt’s other attachments, but the surface is also incredibly rigid…this makes it borderline painful when you happen to glance over a bone or joint. Obviously, you’d quickly learn where to be extra cautious while the head was in use, but it would be amazing in the future to see a heat therapy head that could translate some of that soothing warmth through a softer membrane covering that was just a little gentler on the body. Also note that the heated head is, unsurprisingly, a bit heavier than the regular Hypervolt massage heads…you need to make sure that it is seated SOLIDLY in the massage gun’s attachment collar, or it will fall out during use with a potential for impact on the floor (or your foot) that isn’t quite as gentle as that from the rubberized balls or flat paddle heads (ask me how I know).

Finally, as of this writing, the only other real frustration I have is that the companion Hyperice app does not mention the heated attachment head in the slightest. For the moment, I have to make my best guess as to how to use it, where, and for how long. Given that one of the selling points of the fancier Hypervolt 2 and Hypervolt 2 Pro is the Bluetooth connectivity that allows you to run the percussion therapy gun through Hyperice’s MANY preset therapy sessions via the app, I hope Hyperice quickly updates their suggested/tested therapy routines to include the heated head attachment to maximize results.

These minor concerns and issues aside, the primary benefit here is obviously the quick-acting variable heat therapy that this attachment provides to enhance an otherwise standard percussive therapy/massage session. And on that front, the Hyperice Hypervolt heated attachment head definitely delivers—RECOMMENDED!

I’ve loved my Hypervolt massage gun, and have used it after many workouts and runs. So the option to pick up a tip that also had a heating element was something I just had to try out. The head itself is a pretty solid, self-contained add-on for my Hypervolt.

The head itself is essentially a larger flat massage gun head. The device itself has a single USB port for charging and a 3-tier heating system. I was surprised how much heat even the base level gave off. Using this on my legs after a run felt wonderful. I also liked using it on my lower back after some weight lifts.

I’ve never managed to reach the point where the battery runs out, so I believe the battery life is more than enough for my needs. The only real downside to adding the unit to my Hypervolt set up is that it’s much larger than any other heads, so it doesn’t fit in the travel bag that the Hypervolt came with for additional heads.

I’m honestly looking forward to the coming winter with cooler weather to try out the heated head when it’ll be a much more noticeable, and relaxing, experience. If you have a Hypervolt massage gun, then I heartily recommend you picking this up and add to your set up.

A couple of years ago my family was rear ended by a young driver who had fallen asleep while heading home from his early morning shift at a golf course. After the accident, my wife began feeling shoulder and neck pain which led me to purchase a Hyperice Percussion Messager. Unfortunately she did not enjoy the massager and the device sat around for over a year. But, I took a leap of faith and purchased the new heated massager head hoping that she would enjoy the warming effect on her muscles. Besides, she’s always cold – at the very least she’ll appreciate a new way to warm herself up.

Even before I could attach the device to the message gun, she was pressing it against the muscles in her shoulder, neck, and chest marveling at how good the heat feels. In our household, it is unanimous – the heated attachment absolutely takes the Hyperice to the next level. Everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, agrees that heat makes the massages better.

The device warms up incredibly quickly and gets hot enough to feel through clothing, but not so hot that it would burn when pressed directly against skin. The battery outlasts the battery in the massager, so it’s a perfect accessory.

If I were looking for ways to complain I would express frustration that it doesn’t charge using the same cable as the Percussion Messager – But, I am actually more annoyed that the massager doesn’t use a USB-C cable to charge (like the heating accessory and every other laptop, headset, and phone in my house).
It is also a shame that it is only one shape. The flat rigid circle works well, but each user has their own favorite attachment shape which they use for various muscle groups. My family now wants every attachment to heat up.

Overall, everyone in my family now agrees that percussion massagers are better with heat.

  12. Shae

I’m loving this heated attachment head. It is surprisingly instantaneous when heating up. It instantly feels good and gives immediate relief on sore, achy spots.

It’s compact, not at all bulky or heavy in weight. The attachment fits both the newer models of devices (gen II) and its predecessors (gen I). I use the Hypervolt Go and it fits and works with the attachment beautifully.
Once fully charged, there are 3 levels of heat to control and an on and off button. Simply attach the head, wait approximately 45 secs for the heat (on highest level) and begin your heated therapy season.
I just had surgery and haven’t been cleared for physical activity, so I’m unable to workout and use it during a cool down period. However, not to become sedentary, I’ve enjoyed using it twice a day to keep my thigh and calf muscles moving. The heat has been very relaxing and beneficial during those times for me. It has also alleviated some of the tension in my back muscles, since I’m unable to sleep in a normal manner. My husband however, won’t use any other attachment since having this one. It’s his fave now.
I highly recommend and think this is one you should have in rotation. And if you’re unsure because you have the first generation of Hypervolt devices, it fits and works flawlessly.

    Hyperice Hypervolt Heated Head

This is a great addition to the attachments I already have for my Hypervolt! This heated attachment comes with a USB-C charger and the charge lasts for about an hour and a half. The suction part area to insert this attachment slides right into the massage gun with easy, and is easy to pull out when removing it – it doesn’t take too much effort to do this. After selecting a heating temp, the heating element heats up within seconds which is really convenient. It also cools down quickly once turned off. There are 3 setting that are great options to have when selecting the aching area on where to use the Heated Head, low, medium and high. Depending on which muscle area you need to apply heat to, these are great choices because the temps vary enough to notice from the low to high setting. If using on more delicate areas the low setting is great and when using on my back area I find the high setting works best. I very much enjoy having choices for heat. The attachment piece itself is made very well and firm enough to intensely massage any muscle area without worry.

Great heated massager head and a nice addition to the Hypervolt attachments.

It was easy to install. You add/remove it just like the regular Hypervolt attachments. It is USB C charging and comes with a cable (no charger, just cable FYI which is pretty common these days).

It heats up pretty fast. On the highest setting it got up to over 100 degrees in under a minute and got to about 115 degrees in about 90 seconds.

When using the heated attachment on bare skin I preferred the low heat (1) setting. The top heat setting (3) was good for me using the Hypervolt on a muscle over a layer of clothing.

It gets hot (122 degrees at level 3 according to the manual), so recommend always turning it off when done using. If you leave it on it probably won’t damage anything surface wise unless you left it with the heated head down (that would be an odd way to put it away). If you forget to shut it off though it does turn itself off as well after 15 mins.

Manual says it lasts for about 90 mins of heat before needing recharging. There’s a battery indicator that lights up when you turn it on, so it’s obvious when you need to recharge.

  15. Hannah

I rely on my hyperice hypervolt 2 to keep my chornic muscle tension at bay when i’m in-between massage and chiropractor appointments. My husband also relies on it to help relieve tension after playing sports. When we saw there was a new attachment that heats up, we were SO excited to try it!

Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I love this attachment! It looks so sleek and heats up so fast and you can actually feel it while using the device. I could feel my shoulder and upper back tension dissolving almost immediately. My husband said it helped with his shoulder blade and lower back pain.

You turn it on and off by a button on the side of the head. That same button is also how you toggle through the 3 different heat settings that are available. They range from warm to hot but not “burn your skin” hot.

I haven’t needed to recharge the attachment yet, but it looks easy by using a usb style cord that can plug into an adapter. I’ve used this 5 times now for about 10 minutes each time and it hasn’t needed recharged yet.

The Hyperice Hypervolt Heated Head is a miust have if you have a compatible Hyperice massger. I have the Hypervolt 2 Pro and as a standalone, it comes with a nice selection of “stock” heads. That said, untill I hd the opportunity to try this, I had NO IDEA what I was missing.

First off, it’s a simple device to prepare and use… In the box is the head, a USB C cable nd the ubiquitous simple manual. I plugged it in, the LED indicator lit up. Within an hour, it was fully charged. According to the manufacturer, a fully charged battery will last 90 minutes. At first glance, that doesn’t sound like much but it really is. A few minutes getting your muscles worked by this and the Hypervolt 2 Pro, and you are good to go. I don’t see charging it more than once every 4 to 6 weeks.

On the side of the unit, you have one power/heat level button and 4 total LED’s. Press the power/level button for a couple seconds and the head powers on. The “power on” LED lights up. Press the same button once, heat level one LED lights, press again and the second heat level LED lights up, and a third press goes to level three. Once at level 3, another press goes back to level one… Lather, rinse repeat. To turn it off, press the same button for a couple seconds and it powers down. Hard to get much more simple.

OK, pop the head on and go to town on your muscles. The heat makes an immediate difference in loosening up the muscles.

End of the day, if you have a compatible massager, I HIGHLY reccomend this device. It’s a bargain for what you get!

  17. Mary

A novel idea and it is soothing. It heats up quickly and gets hotter than I thought it would. You can feel the heat through light material. It helps to minimize the itchiness that I sometimes notice when a vibration type massager is used in an area for an extended time. It is one more thing to have to remember to charge it is a shame it doesn’t have a way to charge along with the device, but I can see how that would be complicated and likely break more easily. It is a nice size and the smoothness allows it to slide over clothes easily. It does turn out without being in the device and gets pretty hot so I would not leave it somewhere that a small child could get ahold of it. I don’t see that it is as effective as using a heat pack and a massage gun separately but for travel it is way more convenient to be able to get two therapies in one device. A nice soothing addition to the already well liked massage gun line. The ability to have home therapies to help us feel confident to go out and push through our exercise is appreciated.

  18. Rick

Would like for it to last longer feel like charge does not last long good heat source

  19. Gs68

My athletes love this product, they are asking for more of them.

  20. Keech

I didn’t know I needed this until I purchased it. This is a must have for any Hyperice percussive user. It’s so soothing to have the warmth of the head on the skin. I like the level 3 setting going through clothing. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one for my son.

  21. ArielM

Love it!!! Best addition to an already amazing product. I use my hypervolt 2 pro a ton especially before and after runs. Adding the heating element now has made warming up muscles and recover that much better.
    Great job

  22. Rego

Simple to use. 3 levels of heat that you feel almost instantly. Use it with my hypervolt daily

  23. George

Surprised at how hot this lil guy gets! Great upgrade and must have I would normally heat an area before massaging what and this takes care of both

  24. Angel

It worked so well it heats up super quickly and the heat is amazing

  25. FG21

This is 100% worth it! It heats up really well and it doubles as a hand warmer during the colder months

  26. user935531

Absolutely great investment wish I would have bought this sooner.

  27. Shann

Works just like advertised, easy to use and reliable, I love it!

  28. KimarioM

This attachment is so sleek and subtle. I love this heated feature. It took my recovery to the next level!

  29. Jes156

I wanted to like this thing so much and it does the job but could be hotter so I took a star off for that. I took another star off because when you don’t put it against your skin it flies off the gun, it will not stay in place causing me anxiety that it will break every time it flies off so I have to turn it on and turn it off when I want to switch it to another area of my body – this is a design flaw.

  30. RonniC

I love the new addition to the Hypervolt. When ordering I was worried that it wasnt compatible with my older model, however it does attach with no problems. When needing heat therapy, this is the one.

  31. MichaelD

Heat helps for warm up and after to help loosen muscles up

  32. THS79

Great addition to the Hyperice. The whole family uses the Hyperice for athletics so the addition of the heat before games and meets helps

  35. Travis

Love this attachment. Doesn’t last as long as the hyperbolt battery and needs to be charged sooner, but great attachment.
