I wanted a printer that wouldn’t need ink so often. So far it’s been a year and a half and I haven’t refilled the ink on this printer I print quite a bit for school and it’s definitely recommended.

Seems to work well. I printed pictures and documents, pictures were a little dark, but I am printing from a iPad.

It worked fine for a few weeks, but then it started showing white streaks in color prints. HP customer service was very slow in their chat responses and had no helpful solutions.

Bought on Dec 3, 2022, and on July 30 2023 it stopped printing out of the Cyan tank. Called HP and they had me do about 45 mins of testing, cleaning etc., without fixing the unit. They sent out a new set of printheads, even after I told them the carriage won’t center when the cover is lifted, so new printheads can’t be installed. Hopefully they will replace it.

Great printer, instructions were easy to read, making it easy to set up the printer. The mobile App is a plus, and a must have. Like the fact that it uses non ink cartridges, and that they last as long as they do. Also convinient that you can order replacement ink online, or set up auto deliver.

Has innumerable problems and i am going to have to return. Issues are intermittant, such as printing a prior completed print job everytime I reboot my laptop, stopping suddenly in the middle of a 250 oage print job ..make sure EVERY page you print is numbered or it’s a huge waste of time. Now the top copy dec has developed a line across the page when it prints. I love the smart tank ink process amd its economical but i should have remembered that HP only males JUNK…for almost $600!! Run away from this one…no wonder they are on sale at a ridiculously low price compared to my purchase…i have sworn at it just about everyday for the last two ywars. It”s juat a pain to tear everything apart and truck 40.miles round trip to the store. Bad purchase!

Printer worked fine for 15 months at my business office. We upgraded to a laser jet, so I moved this one to my home office. After spending over 2 hours on hold with support trying to get this thing to connect to our home wifi, I was told to just buy a new printer. It literally worked fine yesterday, but they couldn’t figure out how to get it to switch wifi networks. So even though it’s just 15 months old, I need to spend another $500 on a printer. I’m DONE with HP.

This HP7301 tank style printer replaced an Epson 2850 tank printer that only lasted 7 months with very light printing before it malfunctioned. This HP prints better and was much easier to setup operation and get online. Just a much better design. By the way, we own another Epson printer that works fine but after our experience with Epson on their warranty compliance, we won’t be going back to them again.

Solid printer with an easy set up. The scan colors are not quite as brilliant as I want but overall a solid device. The controls on the printer are limited, you will need the app for more options and better control.

I wanted to like it. I love the idea of bottled ink instead of cartridges. However, it scans pages and switches the order. Yes it does let you use the app to move pages but why should I have to if I put them through in the correct order? It’s started spitting out random blank pages at times. If I highlight three documents and tell them to print, it will print three copies of one and not print the other two. The copy function gets stuck all the time and I have to unplug and plug it back in to get it unstuck.

I purchased this printer to replace an older HP Officejet 8610 that I had for years that was very reliable. This printer is anything but reliable. It will not stay connected to our wifi and to my laptop even when we moved it next to my desk . We are constantly uninstalling and reinstalling it to get it to work. Many times even that does not work. Very disappointed in this HP printer after having the 8610 work well for many years. I would NOT recommend this printer.

Not as nice as the 8610 that is replacing. No Fax, flimsy in-feed for scanning documents. But.. it doesn’t have those crappy little printer cartridges.

It’s been a month and the printer has been great. Easy to set up and get connected by wifi. Very easy to fill the ink tanks. Double sided printing works great. The scanner works great. A handy note: as long as you’ve got the printer set up on one computer or phone via the app, others can print to it without going through the app set up, you just use Windows “find printer” on network native feature.

Setup was fairly easy, following the guide. I was impressed with the ability to add the various inks without spilling anything anywhere. I did experience difficulty trying to make a copy, because I didn’t understand that what was being copied had to be directly above the green light. Scanning has worked well.

I absolutely hate printers. They are the most painful piece of tech. I’ve managed fleets of pc’s, Mac’s and Ricoh, xerox printers. I needed a simple, reliable, MFP that would work for years. I didn’t want to drop $800+ for a color, laser MFP. Inkjet has great quality but cartridges and print heads are a joke. I decided to give this a try because of the simple refill and cost per print. First impressions, this unit should last for many years. I did have some reoccurring disconnect issues from both my Mac and mobile app. Auto update was on but firmware updates were failing. After downloading the Mac app and successfully updating, the printer has been stable and reliable. Seems HP has put some effort into improving this experience.
