This is a really fast printer for the price and size. All of the other printers that I have that are this fast are quite a bit larger in size. I like the fact that it prints on both side of the page, saving paper for things that are printed just to check something. I’ve setup 3 of these printers and I was NOT able to set it up using the provided print driver (it would work for a couple of days and then stop working). For all 3, I had to go back and re-setup the printer using the Universal Print Driver (download from HP’s web site).

HP M501. Excellent printer. Low print cost per page The print is very clear. 45 pages per minute. The printer is not nearly as well made as my HP 4050N, which is 15 years old, but it cost less than half as much. I will see now long it lasts. I had a problem getting it to work with my IMAC, which is why I bought it. I cannot get drivers for the 4050 N that work with my configuration. The HP M501 manual says there are no appropriate HP drivers for OS 10.13. That is not true. They are available on the HP web site. Make sure to turn off your IMAC OS10 updates. HP does not yet support the most recent versions.
