Let me start by saying the monitors work great, the customization to color/brightness. I love the monitor, I have it at work so when I saw the deal I jump on getting it.
Now dealing with best buy. I originally ordered two monitors, one worked great, hooked up to computer/laptop/ps4. There is one pixel that is out but unless you are concentrating on it, it’s unnoticeable. The other could not get a video signal at all. So after reaching out to best buy I was told to go instore to exchange it. I did, they honored my sale price and delivered a new monitor. this monitor read the HDMI signal but it would come in broken on pc (no video output for laptop and ps4). after playing a bit more I got the screen to work with no issue if I connected the HDMI to a VGI adapter and connect that to my PC. Working beautifully now as long I don’t don’t connect HDMI to HDMI. Since I was concerned with getting the monitor to work I didn’t pay much attention to the missing HDMI cable. The first two monitors did come with one so I only assumed this would have done they same. Reached out to best buy and was told I would have to return the whole order just to get a monitor with a cable, I said thats dumb what else can I do and was told to go in store and they’ll help me out. Went in store, they wanted me to return the whole order, again I said no its finally working all i need is a cable, they said they can’t do it but to call 1800-GeekSquad and they’ll help. Called Geek Squad they told me they don’t do parts and would transfer me to the department that does (that department is not best buy, can’t remember the name of that company). That company told me they couldn’t do anything and that I had to call HP to request the cable. Mind you that the cheapest HDMI cable best buy sells is 8 dollars. It’s just frustrating being given the run around especially for a simple thing like a cable. Everyone who “helped” me were very nice and professional, but the fact I had to go through 4 different departments to then be told to reach out to HP.
So in all if you can get this on sale by all means do so its great, but make sure it’s a new monitor, not an open box or refurbished. Too much of a hassle.
