Small size was needed to fit into a confined space. Even though it’s 6+ cu.ft drum is smaller than most,it’s more than sufficient for any normal size companion washer.

There are times when I believe I could dry my clothes faster by hanging them outside. As fast if it’s raining. It’s frustrating to check the machine after an 80 minute cycle and still find the clothes damp.

If you need simple with just the right features, this could be it. Contractor grade machine, easy to maintain, rugged. Optimum Dry setting works well. Fairly quiet.

Old fashion dryer with basic functions. Does dry clothes well. Machine itself is fairly quiet, although as other reviews have mentioned, the buzzer is loud. No way to disconnect it as it is built inside the timer and it buzzes multiple times on each cycle. Doesn’t matter that much because it offers good bang for the buck. Also it is not very heavy and easy to move. We have been using trouble free everyday for about two months.
Dampclothes –
Don’t buy this dryer. The lint catch screen does not effectively screen anything. I had to install a second screen to catch everything that bypasses the machine’s. It’s horribly inconvenient to have to pull the dryer away from the wall and clean the second screen WEEKLY.
The buzzer noise is also the most horrible tone of any sound I’ve ever heard, and far louder than it needs to be. Think Jim Carrey’s most annoying sound in the world.

Works well and reliable. We were limited by size, so couldn’t buy a larger item. This one is smaller on the outside however the drum is large.

I love the simplistic style and non-digital of this dryer BUT I must say the ‘end cycle’ buzzer is very annoying. That was easily resolved by disconnecting it which you can find instructions via YouTube as the manual states nothing about it.

I don’t like the loud alarm at the end of the cycle. If I could disconnect it I would.

Based on our experience, we will never buy this brand. Atrocious for efficient drying and no way to turn off the loud, long beep that goes on multiple times right before the cycle ends.
Within a year of our lease, the old Hotpoint dryer was replaced with a new Hotpoint (same model) by our landlord. The hose has been professionally cleaned of lint. Old or new, it’s terrible. On the highest setting, 6 regular size bath towels took 8 hours to dry-I had to run the same load 3-4x. I timed it.

Hot point dryer is the best I had different brands none last not even 2 years I have a washer machine same brand I paid $450 about 4 years ago and still run like new I have a big family so you know we use it a lot
