My wife wanted a simple, adjust load, water level, water temp. and it does the cycle you want. This washer is great, and does a great job at washing the cloths and spin dries them well. Our washer does a minimum of 2 loads a day and is doing great, only one month so far but all are happy in the laundry room.

this was advertised as a non He washing machine. I was very upset to find out it is a He low water machine. the machine never filled up more then half way. its super sensitive when closing the lid , sometimes starting a wash cycle so that’s not good, its super noisy I can hear it upstairs and the first few weeks my dogs went nuts every time I used it because of the loud sound . you need to really be careful on the detergent using only half of the recommended amount or else it will leave residue . i am finding that i have to put my wash thru 2 wash cycles to get it to clean right. the store cut the cost after they came over for a service call . but still not happy with it. the only good thing is it does spin out very well with no damage to clothes like some he machines. it does a great job of getting the water out of the clothes , but the water level really stinks for the wash load. i do not recommend if you have lots of laundry . this if fine for a single person or couple since small loads clean better , but there is no way it could handle the wash load of a family unless you want to spend hrs doing smaller loads to get them clean

This washer is great overall for those looking for a basic, durable washer without the bells and whistles. The tub is decent sized, the machine is very durable, it is simple to use, comes with clear instructions for choosing correct load type/features, does a thorough job cleaning clothes, and is excellent at removing excess water from the load at the end of a cycle. The only thing I would recommend for someone is to make sure the load stays balanced throughout wash cycle. Most loads stay balanced if loaded properly from the beginning, resulting in no issues. However, I had to pause it once due to loud banging, and had to redistribute load evenly in tub. This is just something to keep in mind as this is a very powerful washer. I have no regrets buying this washer and look forward to enjoying my clean clothes for many years to come with the help of this durable machine. The matching dryer for this machine is great, too. Ironically, the dryer does not have to work very hard given the washer always gets my loads fairly dry after a wash cycle (damp, with no dripping water).

With my first use of this washer, it was making a slow grinding noise as it agitated. The “slow” eventually slowed to a “stop”. I re started the machine twice to finish my wash; all while making the very slow grinding noise as the agitator worked each way. I was pleased with the associate I spoke with at Best Buy however. He promised to have the machine picked up with no restock fee, and have my credit card fully refunded.

This machine is an attractive addition to the laundry room. Of course, it is the use of the machine that really made a difference. The washing cycle is thorough using only the precise amount of water needed. There are multiple cycles which correspond to the type of clothes needing attention.
I was able to insert the clothes, set the washer panel and return to clean clothes.
SHOEMAGNET –
Although very simple to use, I am still adjusting to the use of panel lights that remain on for a while with lid up or down. I prefer lid up to air out the moisture. I like the no extra bells & whistles as I have found that the more features, the more problems. I was ready to go to my ancestors use of a washboard and tub if I could not locate a smaller washer / dryer set with NO DIGITAL!

I dont know what has happened to a basic washing machine. Where to start? I returned an Amana for this because the Amana only autofills. First of all the drum is too wide and when you select the water level of the quantity of laundry you have (as before) the water barely fills. When you select autofill it fills too much. I have never been frustrated with a washing machine purchase before. All I wanted was basic and afforable. All I am doing is wasting excessive amounts of water here. Guess there is no such thing anymore.

Wow… I purchased this product and I was amazed at how noisey it was…. just wow… as time went on the noise got worse. One day I was in my home and I heard what sounded loke a cat moaning in pain. I literally searched the house for 10 minutes and then realized the noise was coming from the washer. Also, our clothing started smelling worse than they went in…. could not figure out why. We treied changing brands of soap, we barely filled the drum and we even used a laundry boost. Then, one day as I removed the top of the agitator to clean it I found a collection OF SLUGE inside the agitator!! I have used a top loader for 30 plos years and never seen thst before. We are giving it away as we cannot in good conscience sell it.
We are going with another Whirlpool Brand. Stay away from Hotpoint… it’s like the red headed step child of washers.

If you need a basic washer for basic needs. Sure, it will probably do. But for home with small children, absolutely the worst washer I have ever had. It has destroyed our clothes (even running everything on delicate), it only drains half the time, and the limitation of cycle options makes it so much harder. Not worth it.

After 5 months, almost every component from the motor to the control board in our machine has been replaced. They are still doing repairs. It is outside the return window for Best Buy and GE refuses to replace the unit. The service techs have deemed it unrepairable, but the GE engineers refuse to accept that. Every time we do a load there is some new issue with out unit. GE has probably lost money on this unit because of all the repairs so far.
