Sound quality is terrible. The AM reception stinks.

This alarm clock is very basic. Setting up the alarm is pretty simple and user friendly. But the sound quality is terrible and the speaker has no bass. It serves a purpose but I would only recommend it if you just need a basic alarm clock.

Disappointed! I looked up battery operated clock, so i could keep it in the bathroom without using AC power with a plug. This clock was in the Best Buy advertisement for battery operated clocks. Turns out the utilization of the batteries are a back up for alarms. The clock will not show the time if only using batteries. This defeated my purpose. Hence, disappointed. Will use the radio elsewhere. I do like the green display though. The price isn’t worth the time and effort to return. Leason learned at minimal cost.

I just wanted a basic alarm clock with large numbers to tell time at night and I figured that even the cheapest clock would be fine, but I was wrong. They somehow managed to botch all the basic functionality one would expect:
1. It is too bright to place on the nightstand, it lit up my bedroom more than an iPad at full brightness. The quality of the light is ugly and harsh compared to a vintage 80s/90s alarm clock.
2. Flashes constantly – The colon/dots between the hours and minutes blink every second and this annoying blinking cannot be turned off
3. The controls suck and status indicator lights are confusing. Setting the time was fine, but setting the alarm and radio stations is not intuitive nor is it obvious what each button press is doing.
4. The power cable is very short
To be fair it does have some pros:
– inexpensive
– large clear display
– easy to set time
I returned it because of the constant blinking, it really surprised me that no other reviews mentioned this. Do people actually want their nightstand clock to be blinking 60 times a minute??

This radio has decent sound. It picks up many stations that my previous clock radio did not. It has a large time display in green. The numbers are two inches tall making it easy to read from across the room. It’s easy to set the time, alarms and stations. Buttons are on the top. The speaker is on the back. It also has battery backup which will reset to the correct time if the radio us unplugged or if power goes off. A great radio for an inexpensive price.

This clock radio is stream line, but the two dots between the numbers never shut off. They blink continually. I called the company and they have other complaints about the blinking, but have not changed it. Therefore, I am returning it.
