As a fan of the Gloomhaven board game, my excitement for this digital version on switch could not be overstated. I had no issues ordering from Best Buy, and the item was in pristine condition. The physical version of the game also includes one of six collectible cards featuring unique artwork and the solo scenerios dlc.

Great playing if you are a D&D fan. A lot like the PC version.

I have played the board game, so naturally I was excited to play it on my switch. I can honestly say that this game is no way
in my opinion, representative of how the board game plays. My group of friends and I have done fairly well on the board game, which can be quite challenging. This adaptation is so challenging that it took over 6 tries to beat the very first scenario. In addition, the game has crashed my OLED switch 4 times now. I have witcher 3 and Skyrim, two monster sized games which have never crashed on the switch. The flow of the game moves so slowly that the AI can take several minutes or more to makes it own moves which meams you have to sit and wait. Roughly each scenario will involve 20 minutes or more of you waiting for the AI to process its moves. In reference to the crashing, you may lose all progress if it crashes at the end of a scenario (which is when each crash happened for me). Finally, the moves for your characters were not properly programmed and do not work 100% which is just frustrating. I do not recommend this game and I wish I had not bought it. It is not complete, full of bugs, crashes and was programmed to be so much more challenging than the board game version that it is not fun.

I love playing Gloomhaven the boardgame, usually in solo mode. This makes that experience that much easier and more portable! It’s like playing the board game without any of the setup.

Needed something to play while I travel and work. Playing baldurs gate brought me to this game, and it didn’t disappoint.
