Very impressed with the display. Use this for my work monitor as well as gaming and wanted the 2.1 hdmi. The 144hz and resolution is ver impressive and I think a good value for the options. The only drawback for me would be the menu options…. A little difficult to navigate. But once you get them set you don’t have to keep messing with it so… not that big of a deal.

One of the best monitors for gaming on a ps5/Xbox
I have gone through a number of monitor down the sony inzone m9 and this monitor is hands down best for $$$
Mickey –
Much better than many give it credit for. Very nice color display, and I love the 32″ size.

This monitor rocks in nearly every way: 144 Hz is very smooth and motion performance is great for an LCD (specifically IPS) panel, the 4K resolution is killer for editing photos, and the controls are intuitive so I can easily switch between sRGB and FPS modes when using my desktop PC for productivity or for gaming. My only issue is that it came with one pixel that is stuck colored cyan. It’s almost unnoticeable when looking at some sort of structured image such as gaming or a picture, but when the screen goes black it is obvious. Apparently this isn’t significant enough to warrant it being DOA, which frustrates me. How can manufacturers decide its too expensive to ship 100% functional products and then make a standard where they can ship 99.9% perfect products next to 100% perfect products and price them all the same? Seems like motivation for passing regulatory egislation.

Great monitor for price, very good graphics and response time, graphics are insanely good and I would highly recommend to people with the new consoles

Bought this m28u monitor to fully utilize my 4090. High pixel density makes for a very crisp image, colors are great, and doesn’t have any backlight bleed. However, after a few months I do have a dead or stuck pixel. Overall very nice unit but minus a star for that darn pixel.

Was going to get an LG A2 65”, but then I saw this beauty right next to in in 77” and I had to get it. My wife didn’t like it at first because of the size, but it eventually grew on her. Now, she’s super happy we have a great OLED tv. Coming from a Samsung KS8500, the B2 blows it out of the water. Wanted to get the g2 but couldn’t justify the price.

love how its 4k and the compatibility with my macbook

Not a bad monitor. Had it for a while and treated me well
Steezy –
Excellent 4K Monitor for the price and amazing 2.1 hdmi capabilities for 4K 120fps gaming on next gen consoles.
JamesZ –
Incredible monitor quality comes through beautiful just might have to look up a video for some settings adjustments.
Tony –
Had a few dead pixels on my unit it’s straight luck which is why I’m reviewing it as a 3 star

First, the good stuff. Color quality and motion clarity of this monitor are outstanding. With the overdrive mode set to “Picture Quality,” I observe no noticeable ghosting or overshoot artifacts. This means gaming with variable refresh rate with either a PC or current-gen console is an excellent overall experience. The HDMI ports are full-service 2.1 so you get the full 144 Hz refresh rate at 4K. The built-in KVM switch is also very handy if you want to control multiple PCs with a single mouse and keyboard combo. I also like how small the base of the stand is so it doesn’t take up a lot of real estate. Lastly, it has an internal power supply so you won’t have to deal with a separate brick on/under your desk.
Now for the things that hold the M28U back from being among the best of the best in its size, feature, and price class. While the stand’s base is small, it doesn’t pivot or rotate so fine adjustments and/or a portrait orientation are out of the question without another stand or VESA mount. The firmware is user upgradable, however the process is slow, convoluted, and can take multiple attempts to perform.
My biggest problem, though, is the screen’s brightness or lack thereof. This is not a monitor you want to use in a well-lit environment. I had it in my office, which gets a lot of sun during the day, and I could barely see what was going on even with the display’s brightness set at 100.
If the cons mentioned above won’t bother you, then the M28U is very much worth considering. Otherwise, you’ll want to look elsewhere.

Great value monitor. No brainer for work from home looking for something that’s good at both gaming and productivity. 28″ is a sweet spot in size.

Best moniter i’ve owned. Would definitely recommend.
Fariavi123 –
Love the monitor, nice for my pc gaming. Nice quality

I think I’d give this monitor a 4.5 if I could. It looks great, has a built in KVM (extremely useful for work from home!), has decent colors and brightness, multiple input sources, great size, 4k resolution, high refresh rate, HDR (more on this later), and it was a great price in comparison to other options.
The only drawback I can find with this device is the HDR. It’s not the best and although it’s one of the things that drew me to the monitor, it’s almost non-existent.
Regardless, it does still have HDR and it does make the image looks slightly better. Just keep in mind that if you are looking for a good HDR experience, this probably won’t cut it.
Sam7 –
Super crisp monitor, great punchy colors and very sharp. 144hz g sync works flawlessly and smooth. Definitely recommend this monitor
K1tozen –
Great colors and brightness! Good connectivity with 4 USB ports (one USB-C) and solid price.

Was absolutely great quality for the first few months, running 4k through display port with a 3060ti, looked amazing. Not long after, pixel’s started dying. I’m taking it back unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend.
Timilehin –
This is the best and affordable 4k monitor you would get without breaking the bank
Ross –
It’s great with my Xbox. Not the brightest but still excellent.
Josh –
Bought two of these while they were on sale, and man do they put in the work!!
FernandoH –
Looked great but was disappointed for having black light bleeding in the corners. Had to return it. Best Buy made the returning process easy.
ArthurA –
This product have everything I was looking for! 4k resolution for and the FPS I needed to run games smoothly. I say this product has the bare minimum since it doesn’t have HDR support but overall it’s excellent to get started on.
NoeM –
Great for game play!
Great screen quality.
Over a awesome buy.
Alan –
Good monitor for PS5/XSX, I would recommend it because of the price, BUT it has only been less than one month of daily 2-5 hour use and I already have one tiny dead pixel.
TheMurse –
Good mid range gaming monitor. Very responsive with minimal input lag. The two 2.1 hdmi ports are perfect to get the most out PS5.
ChristianA –
Amazing monitor !! Nice colors and good built in speakers!! 10/10
MattB –

I recently purchased the GIGABYTE M28U 28″ LED 4K UHD FreeSync Premium Pro SS IPS Gaming Monitor with HDR in Black, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my investment. This monitor delivers an outstanding visual experience with its crisp 4K UHD resolution and vibrant colors thanks to the IPS panel.
Gaming on this monitor is a delight, thanks to the FreeSync Premium Pro technology that ensures smooth, tear-free gameplay. The HDR capability adds an extra layer of immersion, bringing games and multimedia content to life with stunning detail and contrast.
The variety of connectivity options, including HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB, make it versatile and easy to integrate into my setup. The sleek black design adds a touch of sophistication to my gaming station, and the build quality is top-notch.
Overall, the GIGABYTE M28U exceeds expectations and provides an exceptional viewing experience for both work and play. If you’re in the market for a high-quality gaming monitor with 4K resolution, FreeSync technology, and HDR support, I highly recommend considering the M28U. It’s a fantastic addition to any gaming or multimedia setup.
ElliottG –
Great monitor for the PS5 and PC. HDR and frame rate are good.
Jlewis –
This monitor has enhanced my gaming experience to new heights. Vibrant colors, well balanced brightness and of course HDMI 2.1 ability! This monitor supports 4K gaming at 120 fps! My games have never looked so good. No more ghosting or shuttering frames. I’ve played through several of my favorite games again just to experience them the way the developers intended. Setup was quick and painless. This is the only monitor at this price point that will deliver a true hdmi 2.1 experience. I have been extremely happy with my purchase for a year now, highly recommend!
Dyang –
I have this monitor for a while. It is spectacular. Could not have been better. Quality is awesome.

Bang for your buck. This monitor was everything I was looking for for the price range I set for myself.
ThetnaingS –
This Monitor was my choice already. No problem with me. I will like to shout out to Best Buy Support team.
ConsultABlindGuy –
Use it all day every day. Great monitor. Plethora of capabilities. 2 separate menu’s for customization and settings options. 1 on the monitor menu and 1 through dedicated software for the computer each allowing for a variety of different settings. Great for everyday use, gaming, video editing, audio production, streaming, and etc.
TylerD –
flashes black nonstop since I bought it, returning it.
Savon –
Horrible colors, awkward size, dim backlight, and buttons are also bad.
VidalJ –
6 months whit this monitor using it daily for hours. Never had any issue at all, I love it!
Andrew –
Excellent monitor. I couldn’t ask for a better, smoother display.
Unknown –
Great large monitor. Son purchased to replace a 19″ monitor and raves over it for his gaming. Good price too.
SaltyBlaggard –
Seems to be an overall good monitor, im having some issues with it shutting off and coming back on randomly, still troubleshooting the issue, but I’m starting to think it may be a power draw issue on my circuts end and not an issue with the monitor, will update my review once confirmed..
ChayW –
Had some white spots that were like looking into a headlight. Gigabyte has bad quality control history. Bestbuy returns were excellent and easy. I buy all my tech and new toys from them if they have the option.
I had it for a day and tested a few games before deciding I didn’t want to settle.
I’d recommend if you won the pannel lottery on the first try or didn’t care how many monitors you needed to get through.
Victor –
I got it on sale and use it with my iMac and ps5. The brightness is pretty dim and the speakers are terrible, so make sure you’re using headphones or your own speakers. I can’t complain for how cheap I got the monitor, but don’t expect much from it. I read that other people had dead pixels, but my monitor was perfect out the box. So if you want a cheap monitor that will get the job done, this one is for you. If you want something brighter, better speakers, a FULL 48 gpbs to utilize HDMI 2.1 on the ps5, then this isn’t the monitor for you. Other than that I don’t have any problems with it. Does what I need it to, all the other things are just preferences
