    This controller we purchased works very well, and feels nice in the hands. Most of the inputs worked properly (more on that later) and it feels more like a traditional style controller than most of Nintendo’s controllers. It works wonderfully for Smash Bros., Yoshi, Minecraft, etc., but some games have issues. Namely games that use the D-Pad such as Puyo Puyo or Tetris. Being a first-gen Pro Controller, we expected the D-Pad might have a few issues, but it makes games like Tetris practically unplayable with how much it sticks. Once, when playing Smash Bros., one player was stuck taunting, and when we went into the Switch’s system settings to recalibrate the inputs, we couldn’t even get to it because the D-Pad kept scrolling up and down. We will probably send it in if the problem gets worse. While this review sounds negative, it actually works wonderfully for the most part, and we play Puyo Puyo Tetris and Tetris 99 with the Joy-Con usually. I would recommend it to those looking for a cheaper price, as long as they don’t mind occasional D-Pad sticking.

    Along with Joycons, I bought this controller refurbished from Best Buy not knowing what kind of quality the controllers would come in. I was definitely pleased with all of the controllers I received. It looked pretty much unused, and it worked and paired perfectly with my switch. The calibration and sensitivity of the pro controller felt much better and the comfort of the pro controllers is significantly better than regular Joycons, especially over longer usage. Of course, your mileage may vary as with most refurbished products, but the return policy was encouraging and is what pushed me to save some cash and go for refurbushed. Would definitely considered refurbished again for these products.

    Normally I am weary when it comes to buying anything refurbished. I took the risk of buying this controller in such a condition and I was very surprised by it once I got it. It didn’t even look like it was used much. It had some dust and tiny splotches here and there, both I was able to easily clean up and made it look like new. The controller even came in the original box and had the charging cable to boot! Only the manual was missing, but who really needs it for a controller?

    The pro controller feels great to use and it’s handy to have when you don’t feel like using the joy-cons. Fits comfortably in my hands and I know I’ll be using this very frequently now!

    I like the controller, it works great and offers some features not found on some third party controllers, such as amiibo and remote wake. I also own some third party controllers for half the cost and they work just as well. so if you can leave without the amiibo and a possibly remote wake, spend the cash on a third party controller.

    I love this controller. It is great for playing switch games when it is docked. However, the rating is poor due to the condition of the certified refurbished controller I got. The face buttons were extremely sticky, like soda or juice was spilled on the controller and made its way inside. The controller also smelled like cigarettes. I took it apart and cleaned it and now it works great, but I feel like I shouldn’t of had to do that since it was supposed to be refurbished.

    I bought this as a certified refurbished controller and was pleasantly surprised by how new this controller feels. I’ve been using it for a few weeks and it still has the new bumpy feel to the buttons. I’m convinced it was returned having never been used. Don’t sleep on the refurbs folks.
