PROS:
1. higher BTU’s than most
2. 5 burners
3. lighted knob when burner on
4. easy to clean around burners
5. best option I found in a 30″ cooktop
CONS:
1. grates VERY heavy
2. wish rubber tips were on the grate rather than the cooktop: then the grate could be set down on countertop when cleaning and not worry about marring the surface (ok, it’s quartz – but I still worry!) – also easy to mar the cooktop surface when replacing it
3. knob placement: the 2 in front on either side are positioned such that a pan can easily run into them – also when taking a large pan out of oven and setting it on the cooktop. This is a problem because the knobs aren’t stainless, so could be easily damaged. There’s plenty of room in the center front for the knobs… wonder why they didn’t place them there – out of the way of any pan??? perhaps there’s an issue with wiring them so close??? I notice this placement is common on 30″ tops, so perhaps it is a wiring issue. My previous cooktop was 36″ and knobs were more logically placed so they were never an issue.
