First time ever buying a new washer and already having problems. It is so loud and vibrates my whole three level house. Now my clothes sit stating five minutes left without the spin cycle running, I open door to see it didn’t even spin. Having to do this each time. I’ve owned it for only 5 months. I’m worried now because I saved for this and can’t afford any repairs. Regret buying this.

We received the washer and matching dryer. Very niuce machines but the washer sounded like a jet engine when spinning – even with the door closed you could hear it.
All washers are noisy when spinning but this was noticeable for sure.
If the laundry room was out of the way then I receommend this as it has greaty features.

First off let me say this I will never buy another GE product. I bought this washer for my mother in Jan 2020. We have a issue with it already with her turning on to start a cycle and it doesn’t come on it. This issue happened a month later. So of course you can’t return it because it’s past the time. We have had it only a month paid almost 900.00 dollars. So the guy comes out and checks it out and says it’s the latch on the door. He will order it and come back next week to put part on. So he Comes back yesterday and my mother says you have the part he said no you don’t have it. He then says it should have been delivered to your house. I then say how are we to know that when you said last week you will order the part and you will be back to put it on. He then looks up UPS and says it should be here today so you can call me whenever you get it and I will come back to put on. So right now today we don’t have it completed. Never again will I do business GE.

The washer has a seal that has always been bent and it is very challenging to clean the dirt and grime from this seal after each washing. The washer is very loud no matter what you wash.

This is my first time owning a front load washer, and I had heard some negative things about them. My experience has been great so far. It’s thoroughly cleaned everything I’ve thrown at it with no issues. The only thing that slightly bothers me is the wash times seem pretty long from what I was used to, but I’m getting used to it and its not really a deal breaker for me.

We replaced a nearly 10-year-old GE washer that couldn’t get through a single load without bouncing all over the place during a spin cycle. Nothing phases this washer. It might take a few minutes to balance a heavy load, but it does every time. And, of course, it washes well and the steam is a great feature when needed. Only compliant is the max volume for the reminder sounds could be louder (hard to hear from the other side of the house). Very polished, well-rounded product.

This washer has been performing very well at the ten-month point. I have used all of the modes, and have found normal with steam to work very well for all but the toughest stains.
It is rather large so make sure you have ample clearance for the door to open.
The plastic separator for the detergent is also rather flimsy. I just took it out, and let the detergent distribute itself.

This washing machine is as unreliable as the customer service that comes along with it. It is broken and has been for 77 days. It does not shut off unless completely unplugged (it stayed on for over 5 hours before I decided to unplug), my clothes were locked inside for 2 months and destroyed from the mold because it was not draining. 77 days and the next step is still to try another part rather than replace it. Absolutely appalling.

This front load set is great! I’ve had GE front load washer and dryer for 12 years (with 2 large dogs). When it was time to upgrade it was a simple choice and this set has everything. New design and upgrades are amazing!

Front loading machines certainly have improved in the last 10 years. I bought this set when we moved to TN last year after leaving behind our 10 year old set. I like front loaders because I can wash bedding in it. But the older set had an issue with water left standing under the rubber seal. If I forgot to dry it after use, it would get a musty/mildew smell. But this model has tiny drain holes that empty it out every time! No more draining needed. Also, if you use the bulk setting for towels or blankets, this machine spins them nearly dry! It sounds like an airplane propeller when taking off, the way it spins so hard. But it is worth it! But no worries…Gentle cycle will gently spin your delicate clothing.

All the different settings on the washer make it a very good choice for us. It does take about an hour for a load, but that’s ok because it has a timer on it telling me how much longer the load has. I also love the load and go feature.

I had this washer for a year and nine months. While I was chatting with someone in the garage, the washer started jumping up and down and moving violently all around. The person I was talking to quickly tried to stop it from jumping up and down and tried turning the machine off. The machine’s door somehow pinched and bruised my friend’s hand and wouldn’t shut off. It stayed on humming. I tried losing the door and now the door won’t close and lock. It seems the washer thinks that the door’s closed and locked, but it’s not. Needless to say my friend needed medical attention to his hand. I’ve have owned this machine for a year and nine months. So I’m 10 months beyond warranty coverage. This happened the very same day I had a replacement dryer delivered! This is quite disturbing and disheartening. Never will I buy a GE product again! The way this machine was jumping could’ve killed me, but it did do physical harm! I’m quite depressed. Seems I can’t have something good in my life. Just when I was without a dryer for months and finally it arrives and works, the washing machine does this number. Now I have a working dryer, but no washer. Some birthday present to myself!

Me, my wife and a baby. Machine get loud 1 months ago (AUG 2022) and yesterday ( sept 28 2022) Machine broke, rubber door seal chop to pieces, and smell of rubber burning. 4 years is too short for a washing Machine.
