I replaced an old GE Profile Built-In Gas Cooktop that I have had for 25 years with this model. The new Cooktop fit perfectly in the same space, and the installation was simple and quick. This is a good-looking cooktop, because its symmetrically shaped grates, make it look like is all one piece. I have now been using this Cooktop for over a month and noticed that while cooking on large pots not only the heating is more evenly spread but because of it, it heats the food/meal quicker. The space between burners is well designed too, since on our previous cooktop, you couldn’t put two large pans next to each other because of the closeness of the burners. We are a family of six with two of them being a “Cook Wanna Be”, so this new Cooktop is going to go through heavy-duty use, and just like its predecessor, we’re counting on lasting another 25 years.
