    Although it is a quality kit, it is way overpriced. Additionally, the trim kit came missing a major piece (upper bracket assembly). I tried to find replacement part thru Best Buy and GE help teams. No trim kit pieces were available to replace the bracket. Unbelievable. Best Buy would not replace the kit as it had already been removed from the box, assembled and installed up to the point where we found the upper bracket assembly was missing from the kit. Very dissatisfied with whole experience.

    Heat works OK. Button sticks when opening unit. My problems wss with wrong unit being order 1st time without trim kit. Waiting for over 40 days for installation date. Also technician had never installed this type of unit before but I had him install it anywhere instead of waiting for another 30 day installation appt.

    Need new microwave.. of course the old trim kit does not work with GE microwave. The new trim kit cost almost much as the new microwave

    The panel was a rated and dented when we received. We were not happy at all but since it was the 2nd microwave and trim kit to be delivered we took it. We had a terrible time finding a microwave that would fit into the space where we had the old one and were tired of messing with Best Buy. I was able to fix the Bent portion but not the scratch. It was expensive and very cheaply made.

    Pretty easy to install and more secure.the color is great, easy to clean and doesn’t leave such a large gap between the microwave and the trim. All in all, it is a great product. My only knock is the price. Coming out with specific trim and charging as much as the microwave for it make it almost not worth buying.

    Holes did not line up, had to drill my own.
    Followed directions exactly.

    Didn’t work for me. My contractor couldn’t get the trim to secure my microwave. So, my microwave shifted back/forth and side to side.

    Arrived with a deep “dimple” in the stainless steel at the top. There was also an issue with the microwave that I ordered at the same time. Best Buy/GE were unable to provide replacements and I ended up returning both. Issues identified by the installer – they did good work. Units should never have been released from the factory.

    I bought this as an open box item. It was stated to be in excellent condition, but it had a small ding in it.

    thought a bit too costly. looks good. had to call for service after installed because was getting error readings on microwave and built in oven. needed adjusting.

    Was an open box item that was supposed to be in excellent condition with no scrartches or anything. It had a big dent on the side. Very unhappy with this purchase but they are out of stock everywhere so no other alternative. Will not buy open box again.

    The trim kit makes the combination oven & microwave look good in the cabinet. However, after mounting exactly as the directions state, the microwave door does not swing open freely to its full capacity of 90 degrees. Instead, it opens only to about 40 degrees before it pinches against the frame of the surround kit. The swing side of the surround needs to be redesigned concave, so the ark of the door swing allows it to open completely without rubbing. I fear that over time this rubbing point will pop of the stainless steel front of the microwave. Lastly, the price of the kit is excessive for tin mounting platform and a plastic frame with a very thin stainless-steel veneer. This was the second kit sent to us as the first one came with a damaged tin platform in the sealed box. No problem requesting a replacement except for the initial 3 month wait time for the first then a 3 week wait time for the replacement.

    Wasn’t a good fit for the microwave we purchased even though it was the correct trim kit. Best Buy sold it as the trim kit for the microwave so why did my Best Buy installer have to modify it a bit to make it work. Trim kit is not flush to wall. I settled for a slightly funky final product.

    Had to take back because does not fit in standard opening. Pacific Sales gave us the wrong specs. Waste of time and noticed it’s stainless steel plate glued onto plastic. The plastic part clips onto microwave.

    The kit does not allow the microwave door to fully open. It seems highly unlikely the GE is unaware.

    Have to return it because it does not fit opening although the correct measurements were given. Also not happy that it was dropped off in front of my house where anyone could have taken it. Techs came back days later and attempted to install it. This is the first bad experience I’ve had with Best Buy. Now I have to start all over now.

    I was informed that this trim kit was not designed to go with the GE Profile microwave. Still, it was installed. Now the door of the microwave scrapes the bottom.

    This is quite expensive for a stamped piece of metal and plastic.
    The paper stencil included is wrong and did not match the actual trim.

    Had to replace previous GE model. Fit previous model space and kept a consistent look with other appliances.

    This product is poorly engineered and exorbitantly priced what amounts to a piece of plastic trim and some low quality metal mounting features. Even when properly installed, the microwave door binds on the plastic trim piece due to poor engineering. This product is way below the standard that one would expect from GE Profile.
