I just purchased a house and the laundry room is downstairs. So I had a hallway closet converted into a tiny laundry room. The Top Loader is 23 inches wide and after taking off the trim board in the doorway, it fit in there perfectly. It does a fantastic job washing.

If washer opening section has plastic cover it would be better bc I was open the lid I got cut with bleeding. Dryer need to be smoother for lint collector area when I remove lint I need to be careful some sections are sharp.

This washer has been a consistent headache since purchasing in December 2020. On a good day, it does a mediocre job of washing a typical load. Even the simplest spots (think: a small spot of yogurt on a kid’s shirt) need to be pre-treated and rinsed before washing. Regardless of soaking time, load size, or other settings, clothes frequently come out of the washer feeling like they never got fully wet. Re-washing loads is a frequent occurrence. On a bad day (like today) the washer doesn’t function properly. Right now it won’t fill…not the first time it’s happened so we have some reason to believe we can fix it but I can’t overstate how deeply I wish we had bought another washer. The dryer is fine; unfortunately it is attached to the world’s most useless washer.

Extremely noisy. Clothes come out very wet when wash cycle is complete. No signal when clothes are done, no idea how long each cycle lasts. Only purchased this, due to other ratings, simply because it’s the only unit that would fit in my allotted space. Price is also too high, again, only unit would fit.

Ordering was seamless and we were ordering for a property we don’t live at so that added a little worry to delivery instructions. Delivery was fine, but technician did not have a ‘known, very common part’ for the stackable W/D. The ‘closet space’ for stackable needed a shorter connection so the doors closed. He was going to leave it, outfit, and told my tenant “it’s not that bad, it almost closes”!! WE had to purchase the part at a local hardware place, but the technician did come back and switch it out. The doors closed fine!! Other than that snafu, everything was great! I had rewards certificates to use and the item was on sale, so we truly ended up with a great deal!! Been a BB shopper and rewards customer for over 20 years! I order almost all our electronics from Best Buy!

this is a great choice for a person living in a small apartment for seniors. Our placement size is very small so this washer/dryer being stackable fit the need 100%. The selection for the settings are easy to understand/read and offers so many choices. The noise I expected from a washing machine was completely different as this set is quiet. Only thing you will hear is a small ding at the end of the cycle. The lint removal screen is very easy to remove and clean. Thank you for having this product available.

I’ve had this washer/dryer for 18 months. Here’s what I’ve learned.
This machine is designed for a user who has never washed their clothes before and has no idea how to do it. You cannot specify how much water to use or what washing cycle to run or for how long. Instead of letting you specify those things, this machine asks you what kind of clothes you’re washing (whites, colors, delicates, ‘casual?’) and how dirty they are, and then it does whatever it thinks is best.
It uses as little water as possible (to earn a “water saving” rating?), and doesn’t add enough water to even cover the clothes. Instead, it apparently sets the water level according to the weight of the clothes you put in, so if you want it to add enough water to submerge your clothes, you have to put them in soaking wet. If you want it to fill the tub to the top, you have to tell it the clothes are ‘Bulky’.
You can trick it into filling the tub partway by doing this:
– set it for the clothes you’re washing (whites, colors, etc.)
– after it fills a bit, push the Start/Pause button
– move the wash cycle dial to OFF for a moment
– then move it to BULKY and push the Start/Pause button again to start it
– it will resume filling the tub
– when it fills to the level you want, push the Start/Pause button to pause it
– again move the wash cycle dial to OFF for a moment
– then move it back to the wash cycle you really want
– and push the Start/Pause button again to start it
This approach may be great for a novice, but for an adult who already knows how to run a washing machine, it can be very frustrating. You can still set the temperature of the water, however.
I’ve used this machine for 18 months. Mechanically, it seems to be solid and sturdy. The washer is fairly quiet, especially on the spin cycle.
The dryer is also quiet. However, it lacks a buzzer to alert you that it is stopping and you should remove your permanent press items asap. This used to be a standard feature on all dryers; on this one you have to buy an add-on gadget to get it.
Pros —

no ability to specify how full to fill the wash tub — you have to trick it
no indicator showing you how far along the washer is in the wash cycle
no alert when the spin cycle stops because the load is off balance
no alert when the washer is finished

This product so far has been fine, but the customer service from Best Buy has been obscenely bad. Installers cracked my drip pan and busted up a door frame. Biggest issue was we paid for haul away of old machine and installers said it was not possible. We obviously got them up the stairs so it is certainly possible (given not easy but thats why we paid to have it done). About 20 calls and chats with Best Buy support and supposedly a tier three person will be coming out to haul away the old machine. Some of the support people said they would install the new drip pan I bought and some say its not possible and requires a plumber (it does not)- so I have no idea what will happen with that. I purchased from Best Buy solely because of a 150 dollar gift card promotion (which I still have not gotten and no one has been able to explain) which was a huge mistake. Unless you are doing the install and removal of old unit yourself buy it somewhere else. The contradicting information coming from different customer service people would be comical if I wasn’t the one dealing with it.

I am a property manager in Palm Beach, Florida so I do a lot of business for many clients . But from now on I will not allow my client to do any business with Best Buy, the sad part is there do not care.. It does not matter what aspect of the transaction it ends in a nightmare. They take your money and just do what they want when they want after that.. From 12 hours delivery window, then not to show up at all, no call nothing. I had to take a full day off to wait for an appliance delivery. Not getting any updates I contacted customer service all thur out the day never get an answer. Most of the time you get auto reply, lies and escuses. In the end they did not come at all, i was a day off and they do not care . Did they come the next day because of their mistake.. NO they re-scheduled me for a week later and it starts all over again.. store blames, warehouse, blames delivery, store blames installer.. In the end its a waste of time & money and not woth the aggravation. In the end we smiply can not afford to do any business with Best Buy .. i wish you luck if you do, but remember this review when they totally screw you over.. there is a reason why the postive review are from years sgo

My washer/dryer unit is working great. The capacity is quite a bit larger than the Whirlpool that it replaced. The delivery was right on time and they did an amazing job making sure everything was perfect before they left. The unit is a little noisy but mine is in a laundry room with a door so I don’t hear it.

My old stacked laundry center in my condo from 2006 finally gave up and would have been $800 to repair with all the parts that were worn down over the years. It gave up at an inconvenient time, and while this GE unit is slightly larger, it still fits in my closet space (barely). Being that it’s the holidays, my local Best Buy couldn’t offer a delivery date earlier than Feb 6, so I opted to pickup and install myself with the help of a couple people. In addition to the GE washer/dryer, I bought the vent kit from Best Buy, and went across the street to Home Depot to buy the power cord since Best Buy was out of stock. Having never done this before, installation was surprisingly straightforward. Turn off the breaker to the dryer outlet, turn off the water supply, unplug old dryer, disconnect the supply hoses, pull out the old dryer a bit and disconnect the vent hose and drain hose. Removed all the packing of the new unit, installed the new power cord, installed the vent duct on the back of the unit and then reconnect everything. This is minimum a 2 person job though, as the unit weighs over 200lbs.
Onto the unit itself. I’m currently washing its 2nd load and all is going well. The wash cycle is a bit noisier than the unit it replaced, but not horribly so. I can live with that as it gets the clothes much cleaner than my previous unit, and has more wash options. The dryer is pretty quiet, I was pleasantly surprised. The lint trap is in the door, and easy to access by sliding off the cover. All in all seems to be working great, but time will tell. If I remember, I’ll update this review as time goes on.

Almost 5 week ordeal.
Three times they were scheduled to deliver the product and just simply didn’t show up.
I end up canceling the previous purchase and re-purchasing something you from the local store where I can get it delivered within 48 hours which it was.
Call Delta product I would say three stores simply because I already had one of these units that I purchased from Best Buy more than three years ago and it went sideways on me. We spent another $700 with Best Buy geek squad to come out and try to test it and fix it but it didn’t work. Unfortunately I’m stuck using this equipment because this is the only thing that fits into the space I have in my condo.
