This was my first purchase after getting my X-E2 camera. The reviews on it are amazing and comparable lenses from other manufacturers are upwards of $900+. The build quality is amazing, its light, but feels solid and comes with a nice hood. All the reviews I read about this lens were spot on. It is super sharp, great color rendition and for day to day shooting it is a must lens. Fuji has some great lenses, but this should be your first purchase.

Of all my Fuji lenses, this is my favorite go to lens. It is very fast and very sharp. I use it from portraits to street photography to family photography. I find that it is very versatile in almost any situation. I use it on my X-T1.

If I could chose only one lens… it would be this one.

Love shooting wide open with this lens and my xpro1.
Results are just phenomenal.
Focusing is fast and has debunked what other reviews said about it. I really enjoy shooting with this lens as it does not make things seem like a chore.
Would highly recommend.

This lens is razor sharp and built like a tank. The autofocus is accurate and quick for a mirrorless lens.

We are happy with the lens that we got, with f1.4 gives the bokeh that we want. It is so great and its not that heavy.
sc1510 –
This lens is sharp, and the bokeh is beautiful. I can now see why people love this lens! It has a special character to it which is hard to reproduce with the f2 version.
Beav –
My favorite Fuji lens. Wonderful contrast and sharpness. Unique background blur, very painterly. Sharp. AF is not fast but very usable. Manual focus is super, my preferred use. Classic rendering.
Dragbreches –
This is an outstanding first lens for my newly purchased Fujifilm X T-4 camera.

I have searched a long for the best PRIME lens and its been a month since I copped. I am amazed by the picture quality, sharpness and bookeh effect it creates for me. This lens is easy to carry and priced moderate. Built quality is sturdy. If you are looking for PRIME lens this one is MUST for X mount.

I have this lens on my X-T3 most of the time. It renders beautifully with great micro contrast. F/1.4 lets me use this in low light. You might find the focal length a bit long for indoor use (I think it’s a 52 mm full frame equivalent), but it’s very versitile outdoors. Just don’t expect to use it for group portraits indoors. I wish it were weather sealed, but I usually carry a wide angle like the 16mm 1.4 or the 23 mm 2 if I need that that.

A must have lens. It’s got a little extra oomph in comparison to the WR f/2 (which is also a great lens). Image quality is sharp. Autofocus isn’t as slow or noisy as people have mentioned online (XT-3 body). Images definitely have a certain “magic” or “pop” that I don’t see in the WR f/2. My most use lens used in my bag (22 mm WR f/2 and 56 mm f/1.2). If you got the extra cash for this 35 mm version – you won’t be disappointed.

This lens really makes images pop. Produces very sharp and colorful image, quick and accurate autofocus. I use this for street photography & portraits. The bokeh is on point.

I’m not sure if it’s the hype online or not, but it has that certain fujifilm “character”, especially with bokeh and background separation. Yes it’s kinda loud and has slower autofocus compared to the new kids on the block, but it still gets the job done.

Displays it’s so amazing and hat so much character and the rendering is stunning! They must have if you own Fuji
ND19 –
Absolutely love the crispy images this thing produces. Being such an old lens that Fujifilm produced, it still holds up to other great lenses now a days

Satisfied with the quality of the pictures. I am a beginner and don’t know the technical terms yet, but so far, I am liking the shots this lens produce. The size is small enough and easy to use when travelling.

I had heard that this lens feels magical and really have to agree. Definitely just something special about how pictures look with it. It’s not my lightest or smallest lens but it always finds itself being my go to lens every time.
Tone –
Nothing negative about this lens. You get this lens after watching all the YouTube reviews and you can’t go wrong. So much character. They did release an updated version but if you’re on a budget you can not go wrong with this one.

10/10 definitely recommend. Such a wonderful sharp lens.
