- Amazingly Fast
Get amazingly fast heat with induction that boils water 50% faster than an electric cooktop. - Easy To Clean
Don’t stress over spills with induction’s easy-to-clean surface that generates heat only to your pan, not your cooktop, meaning spills can’t burn onto the surface. - Get the ultimate cooktop flexibility
Cooktop features an extra-large 10” element for larger pots and pans, plus two 7” elements for large cookware, and a single 6” element for medium to small cookware. - Safe Surface
Induction only heats pans and the food in them, the area around the pans stays cool to the touch. - Even Heat
Whip up delicious meals with induction that delivers incredibly even heat across the surface of the pan so you get golden results every time. - Frigidaire® Fit Promise
Frigidaire promises that your new 36″ Frigidaire Gallery® brand cooktop will fit your existing countertop cutout of the same width and configuration, or we will reimburse you for cabinet modification costs up to $100. - Cooktop Timer
Use the built-in timer function to set a specified amount of time you want items to cook. - Cookware Compatibility
Most stainless steel and cast iron cookware is compatible with induction elements. An easy rule of thumb: if a magnet sticks to the bottom of the cookware, it’s induction-friendly. - Approved Over Frigidaire® Electric Wall Ovens
Cooktops are approved for installation above any of our Frigidaire or Frigidaire Gallery Single Electric Wall Ovens. - Energy Efficiency
Since induction only heats your cookware and not your kitchen, less energy is lost throughout the cooking process. - Auto Sizing™ Pan Detection

Excellent blend of functionality, performance and energy-efficient. Heats up large pots of water with power boil in a few minutes. Pans are ready to cook on in less than a minute. Take the pan off and the unit senses it. If it doesn’t return, it will turn off that burner. Senses the size of the pan and heats the area accordingly making no heat beyond the circumference of the pan. Large middle element could accommodate square pans. Check your pans, if a magnet sticks all over the bottom, it will work. I installed it easily.

Magnetic induction heating has been available for at least 30 years. I purchased a unit in 1988 which worked perfectly until early summer. This unit has replaced it. I expect to have the same longevity and reliability from this new cook top.

The Frigidaire cooktop works very well. It’s easy to clean and use. Just one issue for persons going for the first time to Induction cooking, you may need some new cooking pots and pans but you needed them anyway…

No complaints so far. Looks great in our new kitchen!

This is not my first induction top, so I knew what I was getting as far as induction goes, so I’m not going to explain that process as they are all similar in their induction production. I had to get this particular top because it was big enough for our cut out which actually was too big for a different 36” cooktop. So it’s on the deeper spectrum for a 36” Cooktop which this accomplished for us. Major con—if you want to do more than boil water or cook pasta forget it. This has no increments besides power boil and then 1-9. Our last cooktop had 1.2, 1.4 etc all the way to 4 then it went in half unit increments from there e.g. 4.5, 5, 5.5 etc like that to 9.5. I used to cook potstickers on our old one perfectly starting on 6.5 and decreasing to 6 for the last 3 minutes. I have tried 3 x on this new top and 6 doesn’t cook them through quick enough before they turn to mush and 7 burns them terribly. I have the same problem with rice, used to do like 4.5 then lower to 1.4 and it worked great. 5 and 2 on this cooktop ruin it, etc Basically, you have little control if you want to do any gourmet cooking forget it. Final con—it looks like you’d be able to slide your finger to adjust heat level but no, there’s no numbers on it so you have to touch it in the memorized spot to get the setting you want. Often I’ll be boiling over and want to go down by one or two units and I end up hitting 9 or what I don’t want because you just have to guess where on that slant you ‘think’ the setting would be—see picture and where I pressed was a 6 (which would be more like a 5 in my mind) Gets me every time. Hate it. And don’t be fooled, you can’t slide your finger up or down to adjust, just have to guess and touch. If I hadn’t gotten it on half price special I’d be pretty mad plus it fits my cutout so I guess I’ll give it 2 stars for that. Wouldn’t recommend this otherwise. Very bad design 🙁

The right rear burner not working on new cook top. Timer also not wprking.

I do not like that the cooktop will easily shut off. If the pan is slid off the burner the entire cooktop turns itself off then you need to turn every burner back to where you had it or if a little spill it’s the cooktop that will also power it off.

I’ve had Frigidaire gallery appliances for almost a decade, and this was my first induction cooktop. It’s sleek and clean looking, and with the right cookware works beautifully. Heats evenly and quickly, and has plenty of room for making large meals.

It’s a nice cooktop except for the induction part. I was not aware that you need special cookware (apparently the cookware has to be able to have a magnet stick to it) in order to use it. Customer not happy. Had to return and order regular radiant cooktop.

We upgraded our standard flat cooktop to induction after spending so much time in our house in 2020 (thanks, covid), and I was hesitant because of the mixed reviews, but the sale price was too good to pass up. After a very lengthy delay in getting it delivered (thanks, covid), it started up without a problem. Our cookware was already induction-compliant (all you need to check is whether a magnet sticks to the bottom of your cookware), so we got to get going immediately. We boiled water first, and it literally took 60 seconds. Even the install tech was blown away. Since then we have cooked quite a bit on it, and the only learning curve is that compared to traditional cooktops, this just doesn’t need as much preheating time, so be careful not to burn your food, and probably cook on a lower setting than you’re used to. Some users complained about a buzzing noise, and while it’s there, it is not that bad. We usually have a vent fan running to deal with steam, and the vent fan easily covers up the buzzing sound. Even without a fan, the sound is no louder than an oven. Plus, clean up is super easy because there are no physical knobs to get in the way and collect grease etc.

Got this cooktop when it’s on sale for a great price. I especially like that there are no knobs so it is much easier to clean up.

Don’t recommend induction cook top pans that say induction ready still don’t work as good as steel
