Metalfates –
Installed trim but disappointed with price for plastic. Another note is mounting holes go in at an angle so you possibly damage cabinet as I did. The positive its plastic so I was able to change mounting by drilling small holes to go in straight into my cabinet trim. When done mounting it will set up to be an inch and half out from cabinet.

This trim is sitting in a box at my house. In August, the tech ordered the wrong trim (27″). So, the installation was rescheduled. The exact same wrong trim was brought to my house. Once again my installation was rescheduled for December 3. I demanded that I keep the wrong 27″ trim so it would not mistakenly be held and redelivered to me. Still waiting . . .

It matches perfectly the color of the built-in Microwave, only negative is that you can see the holes of the screws that secures the trim to the wood.
Trimkit –
Easy install, looks great but it’s flexible plastic which I thought would be firmer. Seems expensive for what you get.

Noticed two corners were bent while I was installing it. Material was creased during shipping. Apparently can’t return since I started installing it.
Make sure to open it at the store and check it.

Trim Kit looks awesome, but should NOT be an additional cost to customer. I wish Best Buy would tweak marketing to include trim kit in microwave purchase price.
