    I was on the fence on buying this when it came out due to not having a joystick. After spending some time researching and reading/watching reviews, I decided to pull the trigger. The game is playable with an Xbox controller—still getting used to which buttons to hit to perform certain actions, but the on-screen guidance is helpful enough. I may still get a joystick at some point to get a better experience. Graphics are amazing. Coming from Flight Simulator X from over a decade ago, this is a must have!

    VERY realistic. (I am a retired pro pilot with 7000+ hours).
    Difficult to get it up and running, though, and long updates when fairly new.
    Microsoft would not accept my CORRECT password, last time.
    A REAL BARGAIN!

    A ridiculously complex way to install a game on a PC. very frustrating. to save a few pennies, this extremely profitable company makes it almost impossible to install their product onto your system. I won’t even be able to get to trying it out because instead of loading from CD’s , you have to wait HOURS to download.

    I purchase this game and barely play it. When I hooked up my VR headset, Its glitchy. Works alright for a while then goes black or has major screen freezing and artifacts. Particularly when I look down at the ground. It feels like there are a lot of glitches and this game should still be in testing. A goo flight simulator is a must have but this one is not worth the full retail price.

    Microsoft in bed with Xbox wreaking havoc on the computer world. You need more useless apps and a lot of memory forcing you to upgrade your computer.

    MS Flight Simulator is almost useless for a novice. Even with an HP I& with 16 gb memory and a terabyte of storage, the software had trouble starting up and staying up. Also had trouble taking off and staying in the air.

    AVOID!!!! Using the PC version and it crashes EVERY time after just 10 minutes or so of flight. It crashes using multiple different controllers and even in “Safe” Mode. This problems has been in placed since the game was released. Asked Microsoft and the developer for help, but nothing but crickets. You would think a sim that is almost 2 years old would have solved this problem. I wish I could get a refund. So BUYER BEWARE!

    I originally purchased this for my dad but he is very happy with Flight Sim X. I had to get my own copy and it is amazing on the Samsung 85″ QN90A using a 3090 graphics card. I just had to connect my PC to this TV. Now I need a yoke and pedals.

    Bought it to install on a computer with no disc drive. Be ready to spend a lot of time online with all the updates. It is worth the time to download the program.

    The purchase for pc went smoothly. I received my code very quickly and used the link to redeem at the Microsoft store. The Sim is Beautiful to behold as long as your computer is up to it. Remember to update all drivers before playing! Downloading the game and updates will take some time- overnight in my case.

    This product did not download. I used the instructions provided by best buy, but it did not work. I tried to work with customer care to resolve the issue with no luck. I will never buy another digital product from Best Buy. This experience made me reconsider my relationship with Best Buy.

    I used to have this for the PC…years ago with multiple monitors, yoke…powerfull CPU(s) and video cards. I gave it up long ago and then saw “this”. I decided to go for it so, I bought an xbox(S) just for this simulator (been a PS fan since the beginning). I couldn’t believe how smooth it runs…,how awesome the GPS/google earth like graphics are…the weather, ground services…it goes on and on. All these features required separate programs in the past. I’m very satisfied!

    Bought this without knowing they now have Xbox S/X. We have the Xbox One series S and this game does not work. Microsoft nor Best Buy wants to refund the money. I guess ill read better into technology changes next time. I have one unhappy 11yr old.

    I played older version of MS Flight Sim and I really like the realism of the cockpit of different planes. I want to try newer version of MS Flight sim and this sims improved for better and lot more to learn. Overall I really like this flight sim and definitely needs Joy stick to fly the plane better.

    Rather messy installation when purchased electronically. Not sure which company is the problem. Microsoft surely does not provide much assistance, all via robots and going thru circles and catch 22.
    Product itself works differently between aircraft model.
    One must want to play with a flight simulator, otherwise forget it. Too messy

    since i now gotten a gaming pc ,, now i am looking for pc software ,, and getting off the xbox/ps consoles .. this being first time downloading a pc software ,, this took 30 hours to download from microsoft … what a great inconvenience that was ,..

    the next thing after this download ,, it took a few more hours on how to get it working or essentially installed … where you have to create a ms login ,, then when you login ,, there is zero direction on what to do next .. all i kept seeing was pay pay pay for game pass … and after reading a few comments from other pc software ,,, i now understand what other have written about this … as a money grab from microsoft …

    after another day ,, i go to youtube to find ,, it is in my library ,, and then install it … as this information was completely hidden when you are a first time buyer to see this .. again .. .bad ms … so i am going to just make short comments ,, that flying is working and happy to play this again ,, it been a lot of years since i last play ,,, graphics look great ,, and need to unlock a bunch of things … only played for week or so now .. but my real mission is to get combat flying packages in time ..

    I purchased this game for windows edition and supposed to have in my digital library to download.
    What they did they just sent activation code in email and the game is nowhere can find for download, even the Microsoft is not longer downloadable.
    I;m very unhappy i lost $60.00

    It did not work out of the box (after downloading). I had to go the Microsoft website and they made it unnecessarily complex with game card or some crap. So dropped the idea to make it work.

    Throttle and mixture glitch in sim rendering the game useless and the fix to turn off all AI does not fix the problem.

    Purchased FS Game of the Year from Best Buy. Every time I try to download or redeem, it tells me the key has already been used! Getting help from support got me nowhere, so I’m out $60 ! Will never but software downloads form Best Buy again.
