    Taking advantage of the Internet, as well as new graphics and processing capabilities, this long awaited release of Microsoft Flight Simulator is the most realistic version yet. A must have for any simulator enthusiast!

    Works well in normal flight sim fashion, but I was expecting more from the Airbus. Most switches aren’t able to be used. I thought this being the flagship aircraft, it would be very close to the real thing. For everyone else, I’m sure it wouldn’t be a big deal.

    As a long time Microsoft Flight Simulator user I had to get this one. The graphics and features are amazing. The rendered earthing is mind-blowing. I can see my own house / town clearly. The interface and load times take some getting used to.

    For those familiar with the interface of older versions, this version is nothing like it..at all. Think Xbox game interface now. Also, switching aircraft while in flight is no longer possible it seems.

    I use an HP Z440 workstation with RAID 0 drives and 32GB ram and Nvidia Quadro M2000 video card.

    LOAD TIMES: I use the product way less than I did previous versions. Why? Load times are very long. From when the app is started to when you’re read to fly can take at least 15 minutes or more.

    FRAME RATE: When resolution is set to 4K, the frame rates I get are not good…enough. I usually use 1080 for smoother frame rates.

    CONTROLLER: Plan on buying a newer compatible controller or spending LOTS of time tediously setting up your old controller.

    PROBLEMS: There is a camera mode called “smart camera”. When I switch to this camera mode, ALL functions of my flight stick cease to work.

    DELUXE EDITION: I spent the extra money for the deluxe edition for the additional airports etc. I’ve used the product so little that I’ve seen no benefit from the extra money spent on the deluxe version.

    XBOX: I’m eagerly awaiting the release of the Xbox version which is included with the PC version purchase. Hoping for better 4K performance from the Xbox 1X console version.

    RECOMMENDED? Only if you’ve got a super-powerful system to get smooth frame rates at 4K

    The realism of this game is awesome. The terrain that you fly over is mapped all over the world by Google Earth so it is accurate anywhere you fly.

    I can’t load on my computer. My computer is suppose to be a gaming computer. It’s slow and freezes up. My computer has everything it list on the mim. requirements.

    Love it! Very realistic and extremely detailed. Takes a lot of memory and computing power to run. It will take a few hours to get it downloaded, updated, and up and running.

    This installation required over two hours and lots of patience, The tech was with us throughout which was very reassuring. Had we tried to install the software on our own, we most likely would have though something was wrong,

    Purchase the flight simulator but cannot use it because the graphic card needs to be upgraded and there isn’t any to be sold so the program just sits in the computer in limbo

    Many people complain about this crashing. I have not run into that issue after a month of playing. Maybe they patched it up. Runs smoothly on high settings with a 2070. I am a pilot and this simulator has become a part of my flight planning. Airports and geography is accurate enough to make IFR flights to a new airport a breeze after doing a virtual practice run. I would love to get my hands on a 30 series graphics card and see how that handles this masterpiece.

    This continues to be a great software title that gives users the experience of flying. It does however take hundreds of gigabytes to install so make sure you have a lot of space. This version additionally works with VR but we have not tried it yet.

    One of the best flight sims man or woman can buy! Look ma I can see my house from here! (I’m not joking) Covid shut down your travel plans? Are you sad because you’ve always wanted to fly anywhere in the world but couldn’t yet? Buy this game, yes not the same but it’s as close to the real thing as you can get especially in VR. A++

    I’ve loved flight simulation for many years. This one is a surprise update to the last version, FSX. Fantastic graphics, updated world map and just an overall terrific product.

    Make sure your PC meets minimum requirements for operating system, RAM, processor and graphics card. An i7 Intel processor, combined with 16GB of RAM and Intel Graphics card (2 years old) was found to be incompatible with the game. Other new games work fine, this simulator is a real hog. Compatibility, according to Microsoft starts at the RX570-level for AMD Ryzen 3 and up. For Intel processors, compatible GPU’s begin at GForce GTX 770 or better. Make sure you’re running Windows 10 64-bit OS.

    The game is very good, and I enjoy playing it. However, the installation was stressful and lengthy, but this is because my windows version was out of date. Except for that, the game runs smooth and is fun and relaxing. The game does crash occasionally, but this is likely because my computer.

    I miss the older version this is too complicated. Its definitely an upgrade from the last one however it’s hard to learn ..still great fun and the scenery and realism amazing

    Flight Simulator 2020 is a spectacular achievement. Being able to take off from the little regional airport I regularly drive past, or fly over the small town in Austria where my mom lives, or over remote villages anywhere from Africa to Iceland is truly amazing.

    BUT.

    Every update that adds cool new features – and fixes some existing bugs – seems to introduce MAJOR new ones that make me wonder if they test these things at all. Last time, there were huge visual glitches with terrain that rose up in huge plateaus for no reason. This time, elevator trim is totally broken on many aircraft.

    Even still… In spite of the frustration with bugs, the interminable load times, and the staggering hardware demands, it’s an amazing experience (with real flight sim controls – do yourself a favor and don’t use keyboard/mouse or a gamepad) that I come back to again and again, to the point where I’m now signing up for IRL flying lessons.

    I remember playing this game many years ago-it was great then, given the technology at the time. With the massive changes in tech since then it is now really amazing! A word to the wise: have your pc jacked up with ram, graphics and a really fast ssd to handle this game. Also check the web for recommended game settings. This can be really helpful. Good luck!

    I decided to upgrade my old flight sim PC. I ordered the new flight sim online. Although I tried to install it several times, I could not. The seller’s tech support was not much help. I called Microsoft and also emailed the Aerosoft support company in Germany. Both were very helpful, although the Microsoft store’s support did a very good job helping me installing the new flight sim. If you are looking for support, then buy from the Microsoft store. Why bother buying anything without the support?
    Here are a few steps to help you install if you have difficulties:
    1- Download Xbox and create an account. (This is the only game I have.)
    2- From Settings, Gaming Services, advanced options, click Reset.
    3- From Settings, Microsoft Store, advanced options, click Reset.
    4- From Settings, Xbox, advanced options, click Reset.
    5- Start the download.
    6- Ask Microsoft support to call you if you are having problems, but you should not. The Microsoft support team was very helpful.

    Good scenery altho most small airports and cities generic. I live in Dallas and downtown buildings are not at all like Dallas skyline. Be careful with buying optional planes by other vendors; if less than 4 stars many fly terribly!

    Love it. It’s not bad to navigate. Controls of the aircraft can be very busy if having to move around the aircraft. It sometimes has over lapping menus.

    Nothing like the previous MS Flight simulator. Took out a lot of airports, planes, and other locations. Turned the game into a pay to play game having to buy airports and other items that used to be part of the game and not some add-on
    Would I recommend this game? NO!

    As always, Microsoft cannot make a product without bugs and crashes. Even on a new gaming machine. They release updates with bugs. FMS is complete junk and unreliable. Avoid long flight plans or there is a good chance the game will crash along with wasting hours of your time. Incomplete flight log for your time. I can go on and on. Buy X-Plane!

    Wow!! I have always loved Microsoft Flight Simulatore and when MS announced a new version I had to get it. It is fantastic. I have just started the game, but I am very happy and impressed. I was happy that this version can be played on my Xbox Series X and/or my PC. The PC download is big too, so be prepared.

    I bought this flight simulator not to control it myself, but to simply watch the A.I. fly the planes. I enjoy watching it, this simulator makes me feel like I’m a passenger on a real flight. The sound of the Airbus 320 engine is so smooth I even sometimes fall asleep on long flight out of the country. The graphics are beautiful also, I’d definitely recommend this simulator to anyone who wants to smiply watch the planes fly or manually control the jets themselves you’ll really enjoy it.

    I’ve been a flight sim user for years and was disappointed when Microsoft retired the game after fsx. This version is awesome if you have a very powerful rig. Just wish it didn’t have so many major updates for glitches
