RobH –
I enjoyed the content, but it is still short overall for how much you pay. I loved Three Houses, so I still liked it, but may not be worth it for others.
Timfritzy –
Easy to purchase and has great content that is well worth the price.
coolbeans –
The main content here is the side story, which is a bit lacking in terms of relationship/class/unit management, but does have very challenging missions and an entirely new story.
Valk –
its a must have for the game it adds a whole new house and awesome content
Stryker –
Got this for my daughter and she was extremely pleased
RedFoxx99 –
Adds to the lore and great extra content I’m on my 4th play through and the extra characters and new skills makes the 4th play through fresh there is also a lot to do in Greg mach
Esin –
Added new stuff to the base game. Making it a way better game
Dave –
Great game. A lot of content and the graphics is good
TN10 –
Not totally required to play the game, but if you are into more characters and some extra outfits for Byleth. This is for you
Reviewer –
Really good expansion for one of the best games on Switch.
Henry –
If your gonna get the game might as well get the expansion pack as well.
jlzxmai –
A lot of extra content with this DLC! Enjoy another side campaign that’ll bring you several more hours of gameplay! Recommended for the completionists who like to explore all that a game has to offer and delve more into the story and characters of the game world.
Hutto –
Well worth the extra expension if you enjoy the base game. the storylines are worth it.
Devin –
good dlc pack some of just adds new costumes, vendors and new char’s you can recruit the story it adds is not to long but is good only wish it added a bit more its also challenging on higher difficulty’s would try get on sale though if possible
George –
I can finally pet animals in this expansion pass! The additional story dlc isn’t as great as the regular story of three houses but it was still worth getting to get the additional characters.
JCDenton –
The code you receive works as intended without issues as long as you have a proper nintendo eshop account and a copy of the Fire Emblem Three Houses game.
The content is fairly good for the price though it seems they won’t be adding anymore new content now at this point.
The DLC is not necessary to experience the full enjoyment but you if love Three Houses and want to enjoy more detailed stories and additional levels, then this is for you.
Eriust –
Overall, the Ashen Wolves expansion is the bulk of the value here. This expansion added some valuable backstory to Byleth. In any other game, I’d say that would be worth the price but in a game with four different base storylines, adding in one new additional side story plus a few costumes and experiences doesn’t really justify the price almost half the original game. I love the full FETH game though so I decided to get this one to complete the game fully because I expect to play it through several more times in the years to come. And this did enrich my experience of the game. So overall, great DLC, just a bit overpriced for a base game that’s already so huge.
tabata –
Ashen Wolves plot was interesting and adds several new battle maps as well as a hub-world and the Sauna minigame/social sim. Not to mention, the characters are decent in the main game. Item exchange system in abyss is nice. A bit pricey for DLC, but it supplements the rest of the game nicely.
Michael –
It is kind of lackluster for the price. There is only a few things added outside of the Ashen Wolves.
The new outfits are ok. I really only like the unique ones for Byleth.
Feeding the animals is not that interesting nor really helpful.
Anna is very lackluster and only there for the older fans of the Fire Emblem series. She does not even have any support conversations.
The Sauna is ok. It does take up time to use and the effects are not that significant.
The Ashen Wolves however are the main part of this DLC. The Side Story is meh. Unlike the rest of the game, you cannot reclass units outside of their predetermined class at the start of the story. This basically means the battles get much harder while your units stay the exact same. Classic mode is brutal because you cannot get any new units if one of them falls. The plot is also very mediocre. I will not say why because of spoilers, but it was not as interesting as the base game.
The best part of it is that you can access the new area and characters in any normal run after completing one run of the side story. The characters are basically like any other student in the game and have dialogue about the events that take place like normal.
I recommend getting this DLC before you play though every route to get the most out of it. Play the side story after at least one normal run and use the new area and characters in your new run. This defiantly is not a DLC to get after you 100% the base game.
TL;DR: This DLC adds a lot, but individually the features added are mediocre. The Side Story is also meh. If you do get this, get it before completing all routes in the base game.
Zeldris –
It’s great and very epic, I highly recommend it to anyone
Alex –
Nice expansion pass that offers sizeable additions to FE: Three Houses and is recommended it you enjoyed the base game.
Kevin –
This is a fun little side quest for those wanting more Three Houses content. It’s totally separate from the main story, but it adds a few new classes and characters that can be unlocked for use in the main campaign. On the harder difficulty, it seems to provide a reasonable challenge compared to the main campaign on the Maddening difficulty.
Josie –
The added 4 waves of adventure really enhances the entire game.
WinL –
Difficulty level is better suited for traditional fans of Fire Emblem (so fairly difficult). The extra items, gold, and a new monastery facilities are nice perks, but the main content is the side story, recruitable characters, and new classes. The side story is pretty difficult and most people will might play it only once. The new characters can be recruited into the main game, respond to the main story’s events, and support non-DLC characters. Some main story characters are actually well suited for the new classes. If that’s enough to make it worth $25, then great. Otherwise, it’s a little pricy and there’s already a ton of content in the main game to keep you occupied.
Bender004 –
Fun expansion to a great game. Add a few hours to the game with a new location and some new characters and classes.
OP805 –
The pass offer a decent amount of side content. The 4th house is a bit quirky but it works since the base game was pretty serious.
Layne –
Great for diehard fans. I wish it came with a little more though.
Yuri –
I was going through withdrawal after I beat FE:TH and this dlc was a great way to come back to the game. The content is well worth the price and I was surprised at the amount of content that was included in all the waves that came with this dlc.
Mistfur –
Great part of the game fun to play great to use on my switch
DisplayName –
Super fun. Well worth the money and adds a lot of additional content. If you like fire emblem, this is more of what you want and what you like.
Jeff –
I highly recommend purchasing the expansion. It provides a lot of new characters and new path to explore.
Matt –
Good expansion for fire emblem three houses. Extra content for an already great game.
Alex –
Love this game. My only cons are that the music isn’t as good as the previous titles and I wish the characters didn’t feel as shoehorned in.
HispanicAtTheDisco –
With the base game being solid, the DLC really helps by providing strong mid-end game classes and characters, also providing strong additional story and New Game +
DissatisfiedAgain –
Got it on sale. Great way to get points here and on Nintendo.
Gerg78 –
A friend bought the main game for me, as a present, and I enjoyed the game so thoroughly that I thought the least I could do is purchase the DLC content. I really enjoy the extra player costumes, the spa and the four extra characters.
Sara –
If you are trying to get the feel of the tactical Fire Emblem games, I’d say go play the classics. I highly recommend this game, however, for a number of reasons. I thoroughly enjoy exploring the castle and talking to the massive number of characters. The battles do feel like Fire Emblem’s turn-based strategy, but you can turn perma-death off for your characters.
Vadakye –
Very good expansion pass. You get more great content for a truly great game.
PokemonTin –
The base game is already full of content, and this expansion adds lots of little things that make it more fun. Tons of new story content, easy way to make the game last even longer!
Allen –
Excellent addition to an already great game. The extras are well worth the price.
Superweasels –
I love this expansion it adds a good amount of content to extent the fun.
Mark –
If you’re itching for more Fire Emblem, you can’t go wrong here.
Raika –
This is a decent expansion to Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Adds outfits for male and female Byleth. Has quality of life content. Also includes a new side story called Cindered Shadows.
MrMichael –
Adds a few extra missions and other perks, not the largest season pass but is worth it for fans of the game.
bluedust –
Great DLC, not the best but great characters.4/5 I think
parent –
Was purchased as a gift. This pass extends the playing on the game.
Chris –
I bought this on sale, while it doesn’t add much in terms of story content, it adds more gameplay styles and variety and different builds. Still a good time
Eric –
Although i enkoyed it, i didnt find it as great as the base story, that’s why i only gave it 4 stars.
CountMihill –
instead of church of seiros route why not replace the ashen wolves route! Yuri has beautiful eyes.
Brian –
Expansion to an amazing fire emblem game. Would recommend.
