    Waiting awhile to get this item but man it was worth the wait! Best investment anyone can make for car protection. GPS, WiFi, records when you want it to even if your away for a few days and let’s you know if there is any movement. Highly recommend

    Nice camera, but “Drive Smarter” software is still garbage. Same issues that I had with the MaxCam360 that I returned to BB. I cannot connect to the settings in the camera from my Samsung Flip 3. I spoke with Escort customer service and they could not assist me in gaining access to the camera’s settings.

    Perfect companion for an Escort RD. Easy to install and a good picture (although not 4K). The app is a bit of a hassle with connectivity, but that may be a learning curve.

    I very rarely write reviews- I’ll typically only write a review if an item far exceeded my expectations or if an item is so bad that I feel like I have an obligation to warn fellow shoppers. Unfortunately, the Escort-M2 falls into the latter scenario.

    This dash cam (for me, at least) is 100% unusable. For $200 I would expect a dash cam that is at or near the “top of the list” compared to other dash cams in terms of features, connectivity, support, and so on… Personally, I’m surprised they even decided to put this thing out on the market- it’s that bad!

    It legit will not connect to the Drive Smarter app and since there’s no physical screen on the dash cam it means there’s no way to view any videos or adjust any settings. I tried to connect it for over an hour and it didn’t connect once, so I gave up and decided to try again later. Several hours later I tried again for 45min and again, it didn’t connect a single time… I tried to contact Escort for support but I couldn’t get through and the phone would just disconnect. This is the product and support that you provide for a $200 dash cam? For $200 you’d expect a product that allows you to set it up, access your videos, adjust settings, access support, & so on… But, this Escort dash cam doesn’t even warrant a price tag of $20 (and that’s not an exaggeration).

    There are several other dash cams on the market for significantly less money that will actually do what they say. If I were Best Buy I would stop selling this product until they make it functional, because as it stands now it’s just a $200 piece of plastic and, to make matters worse, Escort provides no support… Needless to say, this thing will be returned tomorrow.

    FYI- I have an iPhone 13 Pro w/ the most recent iOS software and the most recent Drive Smarter app downloaded. Maybe you’ll have a better/different experience with a different phone, but I doubt it considering I’m using the new iPhone.

    Awesome high quality dashcam! Easy to setup and the app is excellent as well. I hooked it up to my Uniden R7 Radar Detector on a Blendmount 2001R Series for my 2018 Miata

    I have an Escort max 360 radar detector and wanted to add a dash cam. Escorts M2 was the perfect solution for me. Setup was incredibly easy.Once setup, you’re done.

    Super clear pictures. Cons are you can only look at your gallery when the cam is on and connected to Blutooth. Hopefully if I do need the footage I can get access quickly without it being overwritten

    Great product for only $200.. however now that 8k is available I’m shocked the new M2 version didn’t come with at least the 4K version instead of the 1080p. Makes no sense! Besides that it does it’s job.

    I like how the cam mounts to my Escort 360c and shares 1 power source and main mount. It is a clean look. The camera seems to perform well with minimal effort. Picture quality seems good day and night. I also like that the cam will display date, time, gps coordinates, and speed at the bottom of the recording. I actually had to use my dash cam today due to a minor accident and it worked exactly how I hoped it would.

    I feel the camera works great and captures recordings well of your travels. The bracket works well with my Escort detector, and which is one of the reasons I chose this unit. Unfortunately, a byproduct of the hookup is the detector is no longer easy to disengage from the magnetic mount and stow. You have to unplug the detector from the camera now to stow the detector. The only other issue was that the software that is mated with the unit lacks good documentation on its use. The minimal instructions with the camera were not very clear. I think a little more information could have been provided. Overall, good camera and I would recommend the camera especially if you own an Escort detector.

    I’m giving it only 4 stars because the app lacks so many features. It’s a pain to get the videos out thru the app. Then you need 2 apps to run your radar and camera, I called Escort and the answer to this problem is we know and are working on it but no time frame is given.
    There are better and easier cameras with app out there, the M2 needs a lot of work.

    Camera works however its only 1080p, its clear but should be better. For the price i would expect the software to work better but its a big let down. Only reason i didn’t return its because it works with my radar detector and minimize wires and mounts.

    The app doesn’t work as advertised its terrible can not view video from phone when connected to the radar detector. Escort suggested using a second hardwired cord to run the M2, and not connect the camera to the drive smar app, then why buy an integrated system? The systems are really all stand alone, detector, camera, laser jammer. Its too bad the camera mount and video quality is great, its an app development issue and it should have never been released until the problems were solved.

    Cam does not work with apple iOS 16, escort did not have an answer as to when the app would be fixed. Camera is useless without app, returned all three purchased.

    Very easy to setup and pairs very well with my Redline 360. The app needs a little TLC but all in all it gets the job done. Video and sound quality are decent. Would definitely recommend!

    I was hesitant at first as I use a Uniden R3 and was not sure if this will mesh together. It has worked out great this far. The only issue i would say that I’ve encounter is the length of the wire coming from the camera that connects to the detector. My Uniden R3’s connection port is on the opposte end of where the camera faces when on the mount. So it is a bit of a stretch connecting the 2. The wite connection is stretched to max so hopefully it lasts. Im sure I can find a small extension but thatbis the issue that I have found with connecting it to the Uniden R3. Good vamera overall

    Well, I wanted to like this dash cam and had high hopes it would be a good product, but unfortunately while it does record decent quality video, it doesn’t record continually and misses most of the things I’d actually want it to get, like idiot drivers. I’ve tried any number of fixes to get it to work, from resetting it, to deleting it from the app, to multiple new and old cards. Had enough with it not working up to snuff and am returning it.

    Also annoying, the app leaves much to be desired. It’s ridiculously slow to connect and view recorded videos on the camera with.
