    Love this printer! It does everything and was worth the extra money for the 8550 vs the 8500. The colors are vibrant and I still haven’t used all the functions that are available. It is so easy to use and the touch screen simplifies anything you are trying to do!

    Great printer , let’s you get away from the b.s of ink cartridges, I’m going to purchase a duplicate model for sublimation. Great print quality no hang ups , and setup is easy , take the time to follow the setup instructions and printer head adjustments.

    Amazing quality prints, even the larger formats. We have tried a variet of differenr paper stocks, thicknesses and materials and this printer performs exceptionally well. As always be prepared to pay for ink, but even that isnt terrible for a hobby+ level printer.

    This thing is amazing. The colors are so sharp and vivid. Photos look like they came from a photo lab. The big selling point for me was the ability to print on 13”x19”. Setup was so simple. Easy to use. And the best part of all is the EcoTank. I highly recommend this printer.

    I’ve purchased more than 20 printers in my lifetime but this one is my favorite. Print quality is much better than where I was having my prints made by a third party. Easy to set up and use. It is also economical because no ink cartridges to replace, just add ink as needed.

    If you want a printer that works most of the time, this ain’t it.

    The top feeder has frequent paper jams, it occasionally draws the paper in at an angle, etc.

    This is a $250 printer marked up because “EcoTank”. The photo print quality is mediocre, the driver software is not great, and it’s also quite slow.

    Worst of all, it keeps randomly cancelling prints in the middle of them on expensive 13×19 paper, prints that take several minutes to complete. No error message is given, it just says “Cancelled”. Then when you try again it’ll randomly work for a few more pages until it cancels again. Wasting paper, ink, time, and most of all, my patience.

    I am returning this and potentially never buying an Epson product again just because of how bad my experience has been with this one.

    Love a bunch of things about this printer:
    1) Poster sized printing.
    2) Ink tanks (not sure how long they will last, but I dig the idea at the very least).
    3) Love printing straight from a phone.
    Couple things that aren’t as great:
    1) It’s very loud. (There is a setting to minimize this, but I haven’t tried it yet.)
    2) The printing is a little slower than I was hoping.
    3) It’s a little more expensive that I was hoping for.

    I am impressed with color print quality. I print quite alot for my special education students and I have hardly used any ink! My husband and son did well in choosing this printer!

    I am so pleased with this printer. I am an amateur photographer and mostly take photos of animals at the zoo. My old wide format printer bit the dust and had to find a replacement so I could print 11X14. This printer is so good I have started reprinted old photos that were printed on the old printer.

    The old printer had ink cartridges and would drink the ink like a fish. I have printed about a dozen photos already and the ink on this thing has barely budged. With the old printer I would have been looking at new cartridges already. Even the price of the bottles of ink for this think is well worth the money you will get out of them.

    This is a great printer if you’re looking to save money on color printing with wide format compatibility. I wish I bought it sooner since I’ve had to do a lot of printing as an architecture student but will still provide a good value as a home printer. I like the separate letter size tray but have had a few inconvenient jams that were probably caused by the paper. The drivers were a pain to install on my laptop since the printer had a hard time connecting to my Wi-Fi but the mobile app works very well. Have not been able to figure out how to print borderless which was one of the main reasons I wanted this printer. Overall it’s a high quality printer and great for creative work but have had some issues along the way.

    This is the second Epson printer in my business and made a great choice. The color on this bad boy are excellent specially in glossy picture paper. I know that the ink will last me at least 2 more years because the other epson i have is 3 years old and im still using the ink that came with it. Great choice.
