    Works well, once I got through the frustration of setting it up with my 2015 Mac computer… This unit comes with a disk to set up for windows operations, but Mac you have to down load the drivers from the internet and the didn’t quite want to work as specified. Still getting used to this down grade from my previous printer (Epson-Artisan)

    I have spent 6 hours setting up the printer, which took one tech call. Then a second tech call. I still am unable to print a double sided color document. STOPPED! NOW I’ll need to spend time on another tech call with now hope it will actually work. For all all the high promises, not even a low delivery…NO delivery! Getting ready to return it. Is it the printer or the techs or what?

    I use this printer for my classroom. My school site does not provide a color printer so when I would want to have colored worksheets or handouts this printer came in clutch. The only down side would be that it’s not as fast, but, it gets the job done effectively and efficiently. I also bought another printer for home use. I’m honestly so relieved that I don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on ink.

    Printer works great and got a good price for it. Only thing missing is fax features only available in the higher price models. Easy to setup and for the price is great. I love how it doesn’t have subscriptions like some printers have now

    So fat printer has exceeded expectations for speed print quality and ease of setup. Have yet to use other functions. App made things easy. Definitely prefer ink bottles ((easy to fill with no mess whatsoever) to cartridges. I would recommend. Just don’t have a long term overview but if lasts would recommend over the hp printers I’ve had

    The Epson 3850 is the most frustrating printer I have ever owned. It stops printing in middle of a document and then will start it over again. It can take 3-5 minutes for it to print something.

    I have had professional computer tecs to my office twice to set it up then trouble shoot the problem.
    speaking to tec support got me no wear when I called. they gave me the website to look up trouble shooting.

    The Scanner only works half of the time, it says it’s not connected to the printer even though the print report says strong connection.

    The Epson ET-3850 company must have either built mine wrong or this printer is very flawed.

    I would suggest not to buy the Eco tank Epson ET-3850

    Quick setup and excellent prints. More compact than its predecessor (Epson Artisan 835), more economical ink, and more prints per ink refill.
    On the downside, was more difficult than it should have been to connect to local WiFi and be found / recognized by our Apple devices. It wanted to look immediately for firmware updates and would not do so without being connected with USB to my iMac. The display screen is tiny and driven by arrow keys and an “OK” button (absolutely no touchscreen capability), so get ready to leap back in time to 1990.

    Purchased this Epson ET-3850 printer because of the Epson name and because of the supertank ink supply. As ink is very costly and typical ink for inkjet printers doesn’t last as long as usually advertised, I am hoping Epson saves me the cost of endless inkjet cartridges.

    This is the best printer I’ve ever owned as a teacher! I’m still making copies on my first round of ink and I made two sets of centers, as well as printed a set of writing curriculum and centers for opinion, narrative, and informational. It’s also very easy to use with my phone. After I take pictures of my students for their projects they are so easy to print!

    I like this printer. It actually was pretty easy to set up, even though Epson seems much more PC-oriented rather than Mac-oriented (which I have). It was easy to load the ink tanks and not messy at all. It is taking me some time to get used to how Epson uses the LCD screen, but overall the prints are excellent and it’s easy to use.

    I love this printer! It was very easy to sync with my desktop and my phone. Its smaller than my older printer and the ink is WAY less expensive, although it came with enough that I wont need anymore any time soon. Im a Realtor scanning contracts with lots of pages so I love that it can scan multiple pages. It was also very affordable for my home office.
