    Works when it wants to, this device is great when it works but it often loses connection. I ended up getting a second HDR10 Elgato. More money but it doesn’t give me a headache like the cam link.

    Convenience/Quality to use it: 9/10
    The Cam Link is actually great and all when it’s all set up and ready to be used – it’s pretty easier than I thought.
    However, there will be some issues when setting it up depending on which DSLR camera or other camera you use while connecting with the HDMI. Other than that, it does give 4K quality of the image and the frame rate is very smooth while streaming and also recording.

    Quality (Physical) of the Device: 7/10
    Downside is that the device can be pretty hot sometimes, and the USB male part is pretty weak where it might bend hard.

    Price: 7/10
    Price is pretty expensive for the quality of the device because of that USB male part bending, and overheating issue.

    Overall: 8/10
    I think Elgato can do better job. But I hope they’ll make a stronger and durable version of the device or at least have USB-C compatible one in the future.

    This cam link works perfectly. Easy to install and comes with an extension USB in case your USB slots are crowded.

    Good to use on older cameras, newer cameras do not need this anymore if they have a USB C port.

    Haven’t used it a ton, but the amount I did I loved it. Pretty easy to setup and use once the research is done (I recommend researching everything before purchasing, including to see if your camera is compatible). Also seemed to preserve the camera’s quality really well.

    The capture card works well and does have barely any latency and is easy to start using it. It is very portable and can make a dream come true by playing consoles on a laptop. My only gripe with it is that there is a little bit of delay with the inputs from controller to screen.

    Used this to connect my Panasonic Lumix mirrorless camera to my PC. It works easily and generally does what I’d expect. My only complaint is sometimes it just doesn’t seem to connect right, and I have to unplug and replug it to recognize the camera properly.

    These days cameras are performing better without needing 3rd party software but the elgato software makes having this really nice.

    I’ve used this as an interface to send signal from a camera on-set to a client over Zoom, to tie in a podcast guest from afar, and even livestream a wedding from a cliff overlooking the ocean. It’s plug-and-play with OBS and most other softwares that can take an external signal. Supremely useful and lives in my gear bag full-time.

    Using with my Sony ZV-E10 mostly for video conferencing. Delivers a high quality image and an upgrade to any webcam. FaceTime, Whatsapp and Zoom calls are all better.

    I have been streaming for almost 4 years now and this little guy has made all the difference in cam quality. I have not had issues with the cam it’s almost completely plug and play. This little thing is worth the price.

    So convenient and works right out of the box. Used it on my Sony camcorder to use as a webcam for higher quality and zooming options when broadcasting event meetings over WebEx, Teams, and Zoom. Becomes instantly selectable as Camlink 4K in the camera drop down menu in these applications. No other configuration needed!

    I purchased this product 9 months ago , and unfortunately it just stop working . I mean black screen, no signal , and im very disappointed , because i dont have the funds to replace something priced over $100

    Does not work, and a waste of my money. HP Z2 G9 Workstation computer with 64 gigs of ram, etc… Maybe if I had a different graphics card, than the standard HP.

    I have been looking for this product that easy to use for lives streaming with hdmi. Absoultely, it has 4k with audio sound 3.0 usb but make sure your internet speed which can run 4k. Pirce is stable. Easy to connect with windows and mac.

    Pretty easy to set up with the free software from the elegato website but didn’t work well with my camera at all (canon sl3) couldn’t shoot anything higher than 1080p 30fps and even then my PC would freeze up if I tried to use the camera, it was troublesome and tiresome and I would not recommend this product

    This product is the missing link from my video streaming activities that gave me the ability to stream live rather than just posting recorded content to Youtube and Facebook. It provided a quality interface between my laptop running OBS and my 4K camcorder. I was impressed with the stable video and audio content conversion from the HDMI output of my camcorder into the USB inout to my laptop. It produced high quality 60 fps in my first 1080P streams. Highly recommend this small but effective tool.

    It works great and never had any issues, make sure you connect it to your USB 3.0 port and bam, you got full 4k video for your streaming and recording.

    Purchased the Elgato Cam Link 4K for a Live-Stream at the elementary school where I work. I was able to successfully pass the real-time video from my Canon R6 into the Elgato Cam Link 4K and live-stream onto our website. This product worked exactly as expected and was plug n play for me. I highly recommend it!

    Just the right fix. No need for drivers or special app. Though Elgato has a Capture app did not need it. Used for a special situation that required an HDMI output capture.

    It didn’t work with my son’s camera because his camera doesn’t have a clean hdmi. But he says Elgato products are good
